  1. Nice set up Rutez! That thing will smoke like a beast. With the way the vapor is coming off of it, it almost looks like a dragon coil except that the vapor tails are both coming out the same side. Damn I need some better equipment (rda / rba's).
  2. Thanks a huge bunch for the info. I've seen plenty of his tutorials but hadn't seen that particular one. I just finished watching it and it seems pretty straight forward. Totally agree with the cotton. That's the part I mess up most of the time as I probably use way too much. Coils I've got down pat. Just need to keep practicing on the amount of cotton I use.
  3. I have played and played with my rsst and I can say its just not for me. I'm much better at rebuilding my kpt2 than my rsst. For some reason I just can't get it right. I use coils rather than mesh which i dont really like. My coils are spot on but I just cant seem to get my cotton wick right. I've about written my rsst off. Perhaps I'll trade it up or something. I'm hoping to get one of the kayfun style rba's next time I'm home.
  4. Sorry Spydre the above is just me being a little silly. I know the situation is annoying. Sometimes this does happen to me and when it does I tend to rebuild my coil. Obviously it had to leak someplace. Perhaps its just time to replace the head or perhaps a faulty or missing o-ring. Again good luck.
  5. It seems that you have been cursed with a visit from the evil stealth vapor himself. You should be aware that if this continues to happen you will need to immediately perform a complete disassembly of your mini KPT2, soak all parts in the highest quality and most expensive vodka for 24 hours, allow to dry for an additional 24 hours, rebuild with a nano micro coil using cotton as a wick, presoak with your favorite ejuice, complete the assembly process, let it set for an additional 10-15 minutes, check with a volt meter for functionality and if working properly immediately begin to vape. If this evil stealth vapor visits you again I would highly suggest taking it outside, placing it firmly on a small patch of concrete and smash it repeatedly with a sledgehammer until you are certain that that the evil stealth vapor has no way to steal from you again (make certain that you use approved vape smashing protective equipment for your safety and that of others around). Note: If you don't know or are uncertain of how to perform a complete rebuild I would suggest skipping that part and performing the last step outside. Good luck.
  6. My sub ohm dual twisted nano coil (was not quite nano as it was wrapped on a 1/16 precision screwdriver) hit way to hard for me. I got rid of it immediately and built a single nano dragon coil with 28ga with a 14/13 wrap on a 20ga syringe instead. It metered out at .9 ohms. Made sure that I got the wicking just right per Rip Trippers video and voila. Perfect vape! It hits great and produces huge clouds and the flavor is so intense. I have to admit...I bought this mini rda a long time ago and never used it once as I was experiencing great vaping with my KPT's after rebuilding them. Now that I pulled out the mini rda I gotta admit the flavor is way more intense with a dripper. Oh My God! No wonder its to popular. I'm gonna definitely start looking for a better dripper. Seriously it only took almost 9 months before I figured that dripping is a great way to vape.
  7. Nice build pdoan. I'm gonna try this with my KPT2 soon.
  8. This is my first attempt at a sub ohm dual twisted nano coil on a mini rda. I used 30ga twisted kanthal with a 9/8 on each wrap which put the build out to .5 ohms. Drilled out the air hole to 1.5mm on the rda and plugged the original hole with the end of a toothpick. This thing puts out some serious vapor and hits nearly way too hard for me. I most likely wont use it all the time with this set up. It just goes to show what I tend to do when I get bored after work. I tend to attempt builds that I've never done before. Oh I must have bumped the last wrap on the bottom coil but it still works perfectly. Try for perfection next time.
  9. Damn, its funny but I must admit that it's all me. Gosh I've come a long ways in almost 9 months.
  10. You might be able to use that opportunity to get some of those folks to quit smoking and get in vaping by offering them a taste (if you have the means).
  11. I want to wish everyone on Vapor Talk a Happy Thanksgiving. I want to take this opportunity to give thanks to all those VT members who have helped me successfully quit analogs and for helping me improve my vaping experience over the past 8 1/2 months. I'm missing Thanksgiving this year (overseas) so please have a huge plate of food for me. May God bless you and your families.
  12. What a complete jerk! He will get his someday.
  13. I just found this thread. I'm gonna try this tonight for my KPT2 with a twisted micro coil. Woohoo found something new to try.
  14. The only steeping my juices get is when I'm not using them and using a different flavor. Personally I dont taste a difference between one that has been sitting vs. right out of the mailbox. The only difference taste wise for me is the difference a juice tastes when its in a plastic tank or a pryex tank (and for me that is quite considerable).
  15. Welcome to the forum. In my opinion you can't beat a pryex (glass tank) like Bebop's recommendation with a Kanger mini protank 2. I personally feel that glass tanks provide me with the best flavor. I also hear lots of folks enjoy the mini Davide Glassomizer. http://www.anyvape.com/mini_davide_glassomizer http://www.discountvapers.com/kanger-mini-protank-ii-w-removable-drip-tip/ Best of luck and make sure to read up or review the type you are leaning towards on YouTube.
  16. Bummer dude sorry to hear about your misfortune. At least you weren't buying what you thought was an original and paid big money for a clone. That would truly suck and I'm sure there are those out there who have had that happen. Posts like this although the misfortune of the one who got duped, is a staunch reminder for the rest of us to make double certain what we are buying and where we are buying it from.
  17. JailBird Mod H.A.M. if it ever gets released in time.
  18. Just wanted to know if anyone has tried some of the new River Bottom Fog Sauce (several different flavors) from http://www.vapingwatch.com/eliquid I would be interested to know what they are like. Vape On DragonGunner
  19. Welcome to the forum BrandonVape. You have come to the right place to learn about vaping. Nice to know that there will be another B&M in my neighborhood. It's also good to know that you are trying to learn as much as possible. Some B&M locations have staff that really don't know what they are talking about and just try to sell customers anything. I used to live in Brandon but moved to North Tampa. Good luck to you and your wife.
  20. Pdoan what were of ohm ratings did your builds have and what are you using them in? What gauge wire were you using also?
  21. I totally agree with Compenstine. Supplies are best bought on Amazon and Ebay. B&M shops and online vape sites are normally way more expensive. Check out VaporJoes from time to time. He normally posts some really good deals from various sites as well.
  22. I want one so I can rip it apart and rebuild it. Then vape it. In my experience these protanks taste preform much better after being rebuilt.
  23. I just made a very tight twist, very similar to your 1.3ohm coil on your rsst. The tighter twist brought the ohms up .1-.2, now its reading 1.6 a little higher than I like but it is vaping extremely well. The clouds coming out of my KPT2 are insane, nearly obscene imo, but I love it. I wonder how it will work out around 1.3-1.4? On my next build I will do a 7/6 or a 6/5 wrap rather than a 8/7 wrap and see they come out to.
  24. I'm not a pro yet but here is my 1.4 ohm twisted micro coil build for my KPT2. 1. Just wrapped on my 5/64 mini screwdriver 2. After the heating process 3. completed coil in housing 4. another close up 5. loaded with unboiled organic cotton 6. Time to enjoy. I hope you enjoy the pics.
