All right thanks for the information guys, I have made note of them. Being new at this all information is helpfull. Bank account is not, but information is. I don't need a bunch of half empty bottles sitting around, LOL

To fill my Cartos anymore I use the condom fill method, so much simpler. I still top them off with the drip method if I am going out for a bit and don't want to run out on one. As far as cleaning them out I just use a turkey baster and 2 pieces of 3/8s inside plastic tube and HOT water. I just try to get the junk out of them from exposed e-juice. Then let them sit open and upright for several days. I don't change flavors in the same one. Don't let them get even close to drying out. Keep adding a few drops of E-juice under the mouth piece end a couple of times a day. Drying out will cause them to burn.

Being a complete newby at this I have only tried Smokelessimage so far as that is where I bought my batteries. They do not handle any 510 things though and have a fairly limited selection of E-juice. I will branch out as I go.

I was like that when I first started, heck I could not even inhale this stuff, but it was one of those disposable things, ugh. But yeah I would turn it down unless it is as low as it can go now. What are you vaping with it a Cartomizer or a Tank or Clearomizer? I like my Clearomizer, It is a lot smoother taste then any cartomizer. You might try adding a LITTLE menthol to the juice.

Thanks guys, LOL. I was trying to find something to add a little extra flavor to the menthol. This helped a good bit but is not the answer yet. I will maybe try adding a stronger tobacco flavoring also. It is kinda like an Ultra Light when you are regularly using a full strength. But I will use it in my Clearomizer for a tank or two first. I also put some in a Cartomizer which adds strength to the flavor. BUT we will see.

OMG I just became a DIY mixoloist . I took 2 (count them 2) E-juices I bought and combined them 50 / 50 %. LMAO One was a menthol and one was a tobacco flavor. I wanted to spice up the tobacco and cool it down a bit. It worked.

I am wondering if the taste he was talking about would be not there if he had anealed the wire first? Thanks for posting this, I will have to keep this in mind.

LOL Yes mse12, I may be fighting an uphill battle. But I have more time on my hands then you can imagine. Plus it is the fun of experimenting that you do. LOL I use a bigger Clearomizer then anything else. I am looking for a good Atomizer to play with when I start DIY e-juicing, but finding a atomizer for the 808 threading or the EGO threads is hard to do. I know I can get an adapter to go to the 510s but not at the second.

Suzicube, Wow I am really suprized you need to clean your Clearomized after a couple of days use. I have been using mine for over a week, almost two weeks of fairly heavy vaping and can not tell any difference in taste at all. Are you using 100% VG, or a mix PG/VG?

Houstonheart, you just touched on a good point in my opinion. Different settings on the mod will change the taste of the same liquid, never really gave it much of a thought, but it is true. Now I have to start all over. LOL

Hmmm, what would an analog taste like if you put it down into the E-juice first? Marlboro Man smokes Watermellon, or Chocolate chip cookies!

I have a bottle of Regular tobacco e-juice and a bottle of menthol e-juice coming. I plan on trying to mix them a little at a time so I can get an idea of what to shoot for when I start my own.

Thank you both, Rixter and mse12. There is just so much out there and it gets confusing even with taking notes. I want to make something close to an Analog, which I know is almost impossible, and spice it up with a bit of Menthol. I have only been vaping a very short time but my taste buds are trying to make a comeback. The Menthol E-juice I bought just does not have ENOUGH tobacco taste to it to take away the need to grab an analog a couple of times a day. I have spent a nice chunk of money for batteries, some decent ones, along with a good clearomizer. I am very very close to trying my hand at DIY e-juice, after next payday of course. LOL SO maybe I should just get some small sample bottles first and play around yet for a bit. But I have been bitten by the bug. And am down to 2 or 3 analogs a day. Thank you both again.

I am completely new to the game and would really appreciate some advice if you could please. What is the difference in taste between a 555 and a RV4 liquid ? I am looking to make a menthol e-cig that kinda tastes like a Salem or Marlboro Menthol analog. So which would be a better start a 555 or a RV4? I want to make my own if the truth be told. Or would I be better off just going with a rich tobacco flavoring then adding un-flavored PG/VG and un-flavored Nicotene ? I would like to end up with something like 12% nic finished.

Wow adjusting an unknown recipe with other flavors would be a pain in the buns. And then try to duplicate it again. First stop would be to the office supply store for a new pad of paper and some new pens. I am going to try to add a menthol flavor e-juice to a regular tobacco flavor e-juice once I get them. Not sure if I have enough room on my hard drive and word pad program. LOL

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to clean all the old flavors out before putting in a new flavor? LOL

I saw on youtube where a guy was using a baking soda and white vinegar way of cleaning them. Has anyone tried that way yet? It would seem the vinegar would clean left over taste out.

Is that wick a little too close to the top of the post and causing a short? I would try putting it back a fraction.

If I ever get a RBA I will have to ask around, never have enough junk in the E-cig box. LMAO I was thinking on one if anything ever happens to the clearomizer I am using now.

I use the clearomizer for my at home vaping or if I am running to and from a store. It hold an allday charge for me at 1.8 ml charge and only takes a second to fill. Un-screw the bottom, squirt to fill screw back on and puff. That simple.

Would Hobby Lobby or an DIY electric store have the wire you need?

Man, that is great news. I just started my trip on vaper lane. I still have not found the e-juice I need to get the tobacco taste quite yet, but I am down to 2 or sometimes 3 analogs a day, just for the tobacco taste. One or two puffs and I put it out, and relight as needed.

You may have popped the coils with too much power. I tell you I fell in LOVE with the bottom coiled clearomizer I got. I know people say the vape is not as hot as the top coiled ones, yadda yadda yadda. But it sits only an inch lower then the coils of the top coiled ones, big deal. How much heat can you lose? Mine is warm enough. My next order will include a couple of extra coils, just in case.
