I wouldn't worry about that to much. But if the red light on your PT goes out, unplug it as there isn't much reason to keep it plugged in honestly. The nice thing about the PT is that when the battery does die out, you can plug up and vape without having to wait for the charge.

Yea sticking to the basics helps save a little. If you want to send over your information I'd be more than happy to replace the battery

If you are filling them and they are not 100% sealed, I wouldn't store it for longer than you would bread. I have no scientific evidence to back this at all, it's just my opinion. However if you purchased them pre filled and sealed I don't see why they wouldn't last as long as bottled liquid. (2 years)

Liquid has a shelf life of about 2 years @ 70 degrees out of sunlight. The liquid itself will last longer but the nicotine looses it's potency. I do not suggest freezing your liquid or even placing it in a refrigerator honestly. Nicotine is fairly volatile. Take for example Nicorette, they specifically state NOT to place their patches, gum etc in the fridge. This isn't because the gum will go bad but rather the nicotine will loose it's potency. I feel bad for all the ECF'ers that place their e liquid in the fridge. As for the direction if ecigs it really depends. It's more about eduction. Many states are jumping on the BAN wagon because they don't understand the product they're trying to suppress. When electronic cigarettes become approved (and one day they will I believe) it will most likely be sold by large corporations. Liquid will exist but not in bottled form. It's just to dangerous. (For the kids of course) Instead your nicotine will most likely be sold in cartomizers or something similar. Sealed and unable to be refilled. This of course will make it much easier to tax and regulate. What it's interesting to watch is whether or not this will become marketed as an alternative or an NRT (stop smoking product) This fork in the road will take the industry in two completely different regulatory directions. Many members will state "well I'll just DIY" This in itself is a very ignorant statement. Granted they might not be able to come after you personally (to much time and resources) but the federal government can easily start slapping fines on any company that sells nicotine to persons without a license. That would put an end to DIY real quick. And you can bet your backside if it steps in the way of the FDA or your state taxes, they will go after those companies. There is of course the worst case scenario, all out ban. Part of the reason many people can order this that and other is because of online forums. Without funding from suppliers they will relay on donations. I can tell you that some of these forums ECF and us included suck up quite a bit of bandwidth. Forums would most likely relay on donations to keep running. If those donations stopped the information is gone. Lots of speculation no doubt but it's going to be an interesting ride. It's a little soon but not unusual. Lithium Ion batteries are good for about 200-300 charges, so it depends on how often you use that battery. Normally a good sign is when you take a fully charged battery and it doesn't give that good hit your used to. Usually a sign the voltage is dropping off much faster. I would suggest probably picking up a new battery. Maybe even a mega battery.

What brand are you using? I vape at around 4 - 5 volt and I can make a carto last 3-4 days.

2.4ohm is pretty much a standard atomizer. It will work fine at 5 volts but keep in mind it will wear it down twice as fast. Don't be surprised if it pops after 2 weeks. Honestly though, if your going to go high voltage Cartomizers are the best way. You don't have to worry about dripping all the time and they can take the high voltage much better than an atomizer can. I would suggest the Boge silver threaded cartomizers.

While the de wicking can help, it's usually not that much. I would suggest just direct dripping for now. That will probably solve your problem

Inside the mouth piece is a plastic barrier that stops liquid from coming back up. While it's true, if you pull hard enough the liquid would probably come out of the cartridge, it's not like sucking on a milk shake. You take long easy drags. The bridge of the atomizer itself actually pokes into the cartridge. This causes the liquid to draw towards the atomizer.

When the FDA tested 2 major brands of cartridges one brand contained trace amounts of Diethylene Glycol. The exact amount has not been published and the FDA has refused to show their results and methods of testing to this day. The FDA then shoved this to the media who spun it in the most negative light possible. As usual all the sheeple where shocked and mortified at the results. The news is always 100% accurate of course. While I can't speak for all suppliers, Dekang & Boge the largest manufacture of e liquid have verified more than once that their liquid does not contain Diethylene Glycol. NJOY and Totally wicked who also use Dekang and Boge e liquid posted their own lab test results that verified their liquid did NOT contain Diethylene Glycol. Not only does this show the FDA is...how should I say...full of bull, but that the liquid coming out of China, at least from the major manufacture, is in fact produced to high standards contrary to what some other mixers might state. While any amount of Diethylene Glycol is unacceptable I can guarantee it's only a fraction of what's found in a typical cigarette. Of which, the FDA has no problem approving so long as the flavors aren't appealing to children....Kill the adults save the kids.
