Difference In Ego Batteries?
Christopher replied to pipedreamer79's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Push the button 5 times and it will lock. It's also meant to be used with both regular atomizers and the tank. According to the factory Tank atomizer cannot be used on the regular eGo batery. With that said, everyone who has tried to use a tank atomizer on the regular ego battery hasn't had a problem. -
Thought I get a pic thread going. Post a picture of your favorite ecig setup I use my Provari mostly now, but my tablet is charging so I'll have to take an update picture in the morning. For now, he's my on the go "in case s*** happens setup

Steve Heilig Healthcare ethicist, cultural critic Source: Here There's been much news coverage of the new graphic warning labels to be required on cigarette packs, most of it positive, some of it less so (including a Chronicle editorial that seemed to me to be more opinion than fact-based). I, and many others who have fought in the "tobacco wars" for years, are in favor of such nasty images, as they reflect reality, and anything that makes people think twice about starting or continuing to smoke is worth it. But this is about another, albeit related, aspect of tobacco policy. I was looking for something on sfgate today, and a new "advertorial" for "e-cigarettes" jumped out at me - and when I clicked on it, found a site called "the healthy consumer": http://thehealthyconsumer.com/01/default.asp?aff=xab&sub=1015 This site, written in hyper-marketing prose ("Revolutionary!", "Ground-Breaking!", "Smoke anywhere, anytime", etc...) claims all sorts of benefits for this "Miracle Technological Breakthrough" device, and claims that "The Doctors", both the TV versions and others, support e-cigs as a healthy alternative to smoking and even a way to quit smoking. When you click on the "time-limited" offer of a discounted trial, and then try to leave that page, you get extra-aggressive "Are you sure you want to miss out on this amazing offer?" pop-up marketing. It's like a parody of hucksterism - but it's serious as a heart attack. For me, though, it's also a bad flashback. Long ago, Big Tobacco used to claim that "four out of five doctors prefer" certain cigarette brands. Then when that was no longer permitted, they long fought any claims that second hand smoke was harmful. When that was no longer possible to for anyone rational to believe or claim, they looked for other ways to market their lethal wares. E-cigs are only one of the latest tricks in pushing tobacco to people, and to subverting anti-tobacco education and restrictions. Unhealthy components have been found therein; the FDA is fighting to regulate them as a drug delivery device, as with regular cigarettes. The World Health Association denies that e-cigs are a legitimate smoking cessation method. Canada holds that e-cigs pose similar nicotine addiction risks and banned them. Former Governor Schwarzenegger vetoed a bill that would have banned their sale in California. They are banned in some public places in other states, and on flights. They can't be sold to minors but have been flavored with fruit and candy. The nicotine content in some e-cigs has been understated in labels and is sometimes much higher than in legitimate smoking cessation products. These supposedly "safer" cigarettes undermine secondhand smoke regulations and make them harder to enforce. And so on.... So, some open questions: 1. Are "thehealthyconsumer" and other e-cig marketing sites and advertising funded by tobacco companies? 2. Does sfgate have policy regarding accepting advertising from tobacco companies? Was this advertisement/link looked at in light of such policy? 3. Do "The Doctors" from television know that their brief 2009 segment on e-cigs is being used as marketing for the devices? If so, have they received any funding from tobacco interests? 4. Can San Francisco again take a proactive role in anti-tobacco policy by regulating e-cigarettes like any other tobacco product? So the message is: Don't believe the hype. Tobacco - however consumed - remains a leading cause of preventable illness and death. Every time the tobacco industry has presented a "safer" form of smoking, it has turned out to not be true. The American Heart Association, American Lung Association, and American Cancer Society all hold that e-cigarettes should be regulated under the same rules as regular tobacco products - which means no marketing as "healthy," no use in public places where others are exposed, and so forth. And very tight restrictions on marketing in general, including in newspapers and other publications, online and otherwise. I agree, and hope San Francisco's leading media and other authorities will too. We don't allow marketing of toxic chemicals to consumers, and especially to young people, as 'healthy." Yes, prohibition doesn't work, but health-based regulation does, and as we know much about how to regulate tobacco to minimize harm, we should do that with e-cigs too. To allow otherwise is a big step back in the Tobacco Wars, and many lives are at stake.

510 Low Resistance Atty Questions
Christopher replied to sirvapesalot's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Joye Tech tends to be known for making well made atomizers. It's been a while since I've used an LR but usually 2-3 drips = about 6-8 puffs give or take. 10 puffs = a cigarette. So, every 3 drops I'd say is a cigarettes worth. But again, the main way to tell is when the flavor starts to dissipate. If you notice it starts to taste a bit plastic, immediately add another drop or so -
And You Think Your Dual Coil Cartos Are Awesome?
Christopher replied to DAYVAPE's topic in General Vaping Discussion
You know, I have a feeling these are going to trip the protection circuit on a lot of units. 3 coils are going to tax the battery pretty darn hard. -
Glad vaping is working out for you The coffee flavors are becoming pretty popular
-
Now that I have to say is pretty darn cool. It's now, only a matter of time before Joye Tech follows with it.

And You Think Your Dual Coil Cartos Are Awesome?
Christopher replied to DAYVAPE's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Jeez, have you tried them yet? Wonder how hot they get. -
ha ha You know, I'll be honest, if I got to hang with them all in the showers. I'd do it
-
They don't deliver nicotine...What kind of testing where they using? Give me a break.

Do not clean out your cartomizers. They're not meant to be cleaned. This will just kill em. It's best to just refill them until they stop working. One way to tell if it's done - open up the top of the carto and look inside. If the center circle of the cartomizer is brown, it's done. Sames goes for the filler. While it's great to reuse cartomizers ( we all do it ) I do not suggest cleaning them. Most of the time it causes more harm than good. Each cartomizer can be used for about a week or so. After that I suggest that the cartomizer is changed out for a new one. One thing to note, most PG e liquids (Boge, Dekang etc) are actually a 80% 20% PG VG mix by default. This tends to be the optimum mix especially for cartomizers. If you're going to make the switch to VG you may as well use atomizers instead. It'll do you more justice in the long run. Also I noticed you mentioned you're not getting much vapor on exhale. This is usually most noticeable when the cartomizer has been overfilled. It can also happen if you don't let the wicking inside the cartomizer fully soak. If only half has been filled, the top tends to bun up and "seal". So when you add liquid it only sits on the top. Thus you are always filling and always getting mediocre vapor and flavor.

I usually vape around 4.1 - 4.2. That's the sweet spot for me
-
You 2 purchased one? Damn! I'm loosing my coolness But seriously that's awesome. Let us know how they work out. It'll be the Eclipse vs. Pro Vari battle.
-
Have you tried using Boge Cartomizers? They last quite a long time in between fills and they don't usually leak. They'll fit right onto your eGo T and cost about 8 bucks.

I think it's T-mobile

lol Dayvape. Not what your wrote in your post...but how you did it. This guy and his tricks...

Gotta say it's looking pretty good...but large. I'm not trying to knock it early, but I'd love to see a none auto drip version that's smaller. Maybe just remove the bottle and pump to shrink it down. I love the look and the touch function but the size is really what keeps me on the edge. That and it's 300 price tag. I'm guessing it would have been cheaper if they had gone with delrin.
