I've heard mixed reviews. When we where selling them in the Forever Vapor store, we had about a 50/50 feedback rate. Some loved em, some hated em The main issue seems to be leaking.

Something Weird With My Bullet
Christopher replied to bass-n-vape's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Does it only happen when using the dual coils? -
I do not
-
oh no no, I leave my liquid in my cartomizers while I sleep etc. So long as the liquid isn't exposed to heat you're good Just don't leave it sitting for days and you'll be fine.

It's not a good idea no. There are a number of articles written why this is dangerous. It's been quite some time since the silver bullet was released and there is much more info available now. I'm sure an SB user can comment on what type of battery setup they're using Glad your enjoy your first mod though!

I would bother messing with the cartomizers. There are some modders out there that come up with some neat tricks, but trust us, at least for now save yourself the headache Cartomizers if used correctly will last about 3-5 days. Some people will use them longer but I find the performance drops greatly after about a week. The filler tends to burn and gunk up. IMO You don't really want to vape out of a nasty old carto

It's more preference than anything. Some people love em, some hate em.

I agree the majority of the throat hit comes more from the nicotine level than the mix itself. Menthol does tend to be strong (which is what most people want) but lowering your nic will take out some of the kick.

I agree. While I'm not a VG user now, I did try VG a few times. I was quite surprised how thick it was. And I'm not in the least bit surprised that 100% VG gives users problems. Though, I can see why this would be a benefit to suppliers.

Helping Some Friends Get Started

Yes and Yes. (Standard range from 2.8 ish - 3.0) -
No. However there may be your solution. Though atomizers can take VG liquid - Ultimately they where never designed to be used with VG mixes let alone 100% VG mixes. If you are using really thick liquid, that is most likely what's causing you so many problems. What ratio are you using?

Diddo @ Pro beards comment. I've probably asked this before, have you tried cartomizers? Like atomizers there is a bit of a learning curve but I find they tend to hold up much better if not for the simple fact that there is liquid surrounding the coil most of the time. I remember trying to use LR atomizers and I honestly just never had much luck. More liquid would end up dripping out of them than ever ended up in vapor.

I agree I still prefer the single coil cartomizers

Can I Get Some Experienced Advice For A First Timer?
Christopher replied to thecosmicenergy's topic in New Vapers Forum
First, let me welcome you to the forum! That's some heavy smoking while drinking for an otherwise non smoker, story or lives right? One thing important you need to know is strength. If you're smoking a pack per session I'd suggest that you purchase e liquid that is 24mg. Sure you can buy 24mg carts, but we don't suggest it. It'll end up costing you more money than you need to spend. Purchase liquid by the bottle and drip into your cartomizer or atomizer. Don't expect to find a liquid that tastes exactly like any brand of cigarette. It just isn't going to happen. Because an ecig doesn't burn anything it's almost impossible to replicate the taste of cigarettes. Though I would suggest the following flavors, USA Mix/Blend, 555 or our Traditional Tobacco (shameless plug) You already know about direct dripping and cartomizers which is great. That's half the battle. I would normally suggest a Joye 510 for a social smoker but, because you smoke so much while you drink, the Joye eGo is probably a batter bet. The reason for this is because the eGo will last upwards of 12 hours. The Joye 510 only lasts about 2 hours. This is correct. It is ESPECIALLY true if you are going to direct drip. Auto batteries are nice but the liquid will enter the draw/air hole and destroy the battery. (Within a week or two usually) This isn't an issue with manual batteries. I'd say about 98% of us use manual batteries. And honestly, it becomes second nature, you don't even notice there is a button after a while. Hope that helps -
Your Nose Knows: The Invisible Threat Of 'thirdhand Smoke'
Christopher replied to Viper Ron's topic in General Vape News
They are really starting to crack down these days. -
You say that if you add juice to the atomizer, your good to go for an hour? You also say it stops working after 4 hits. Does the LED turn on when you try to use the unit? Do you notice it blinking after taking a few drags?
-
Sorry I totally missed your question. I concur with Jeff, I also do not clean my atomizers. It causes more damage than it's worth most of the time.

Welcome to the forum! Try to stay dry out there

Bird is correct. 100% VG is best used only in a regular old atomizer. It will not work well in Cartomizers or Tank atomizers. If it's 100% VG it's probably pretty thick.
-
e Liquids are not all the same. Some perform better than others. Thickness doesn't matter as much as what is used. Is it VG or PG or both. The mixture is important.

The poll is still young but I have to say I'm quite surprised so far at the number of people who prefer coffee based flavors.

Buzz Pro Or Provari... What To Do...
Christopher replied to Kingbtheone's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
I have never used the Buzz so I can't say one way or the other. But I've owned my Pro Vari since February and I still don't have any complaints. The digital display is a nice add on, the ability to check my battery level, adjust voltage on the fly and check the ohms of the atomizers and cartomizers I use is great. But most of all more than anything is it's durability. I've naturally dropped the unit more times than I can count. While most of the time it's dropped on my carpet from a height of about 3-4 feet, I have dropped it on concrete a few times. I've also snapped off 4 or so cartomizers. I still have very few scratches and the unit performs as new. Top that off with great battery life standard without the add on and larger battery and I just don't see any reason to use anything else -
