  1. This screenshot was taken today from the FDA's website. It has not been photoshopped. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with this picture.... LINK: http://www.fda.gov/N...s/ucm172906.htm And they're worried about battery safety...
  2. Here is another great video that shows how to fill the eGo T (same process) http://www.vaportalk.com/home/how-to-fill-and-use-the-ego-t/
  3. This whole thing is going to give ecigs in the short term a very bad name. Most electronic cigarettes (all of Joye Techs) have built in protection to prevent something like this from happening. I'm guessing he was probably using some type of a mod, that didn't have protection built in and he used either incorrect batteries or allowed them to discharge to low. My sympathies no doubt goes out to the gentlemen however, good battery safety probably could have prevented this. The media I'm sure is happy to place all e cigarettes in the dangerous category making the entire industry look bad. But hey, at least cigarettes don't kill. Also to the user using a Lava Tube, I believe, that also has built in protection
  4. On the page there is a drop down menu (I just updated) you can choose LR or Regular resistance. Same price.
  5. Just an FYI, we carry 901 atomizers for 6.50 (They're DSE) http://www.forevervapor.com/dse-901-atomizer/
  6. Keep in mind that just because they are protected doesn't mean they won't vent. Protection on the batteries is more of a "in case it happens" it's best to avoid stacking if possible
  7. I've tried mods as high as 6 + volts and honestly it's over kill. You'll get a huge hit but at the loss of flavor and comfortability IMO. The sweet spot for many is usually around 4-5 volts. Just enough to give that kick with out killing flavor, your atomizer or your mouth.
  8. and honestly not worth it. The point of PT's back in the day was to maintain charge. The eGo wasn't on the scene and our batteries would get perhaps 1-2 hours tops. This was even before mods came about. These days we have devices such as the eGo, custom mods etc that support 12 + hours of battery life. So essentially, unless it's a voltage change (and that device is just a standard 3.7) passthroughs are irrelevant. Another thing to note is that eGo T's and eGo C's for example now charge via USB to the battery. So, they're essentially standard e cigarettes and passthroughs in one.
  9. By stacking they mean one battery on top of another. If the batteries are side by side (a box mod for example) it's not nearly as much of an issue. I would suggest having a look in our mod forum. There is tons of information about mod safety.
  10. I agree it's not worth trying to put back together. You'll end up getting dry hits from the carto. If you haven't experienced a dry hit from a cartomizer....it's like the wrath of hell in your mouth.
  11. I'd go with alt smoke before I want with alt cig. I haven't necessarily heard anything negative about them, but alt smoke has been around much longer. I'm guessing Alt Cig probably obtains a lot of free search traffic with the name similarities.
  12. I've heard of this once before, but it was a ecig mod not an actual standard e cigarette. They have safety features in place to stop things like this from happening. The article I read didn't actually state what model the person was using. This is why it's important to one, use a well built modification (why I use the Pro Vari) or purchase an e cigarette from a reputable supplier. Sometimes saving money isn't always worth it. Battery safety I'm guessing could have prevented this. There are many mods than can be used just fine if good practices are used, unfortunately, many consumers aren't aware of the dangers of lithium ion batteries when used incorrectly. Honestly in my opinion a customer shouldn't have to study a battery guide to use a product. Thus the reason, having the safety measures in place is just a wiser choice for the builder and the consumer.
  13. I've never paid much attention is I just pop my in at night. But 2 hours sounds about right.
  14. I just drink coffee and type code in all day. It's really on the edge of your seat stuff
  15. Can you please let us know where the outdated link was located?
  16. Benadryl knocks me out cold lol. Ashley can take it without any problems and she's fine. I take it, 25 minutes later and I'm snoring. It's interesting how different chemicals/medications effect (affect?) people differently.
  17. It is a bit weird to get two bad batteries but those KR808 can be a bit wonky sometimes. Even right from the factory. I know when we sold the KR808 kits the issues we had most was with the batteries. I would contact the supplier and see what they say.
  18. I used to get sleepy when I first started vaping. Especially when vaping 24mg. It'd make me drowsy. That has since well worn off. Only last about a month tops.
  19. +1 I'd like to see some user pics too I've seen the device online but I'm curious to see some user based images.
  20. Sorry for the delay. Busy weekend We are hopping to fully stock up by the end of Feb/March at the latest. We plan to stock eGo C as well as any components. Atomizers and Cartomizers will also arrive during the same time For now our Forever Vapor store (http://www.forevervapor.com/) Has the eGo C in stock. Atomizers (5packs) and Cone covers for the eGo C will not arrive in the FV store until sometime after the Chinese New Year.
  21. He carries quite a bit of Riva merchandise which isn't Joye Tech. He lists his atomizers as Joye Tech atomizers so I would email and ensure it's Joye Atomizers that are being sent out and not Riva. Then again, if you like the Riva atomizers, by all means.
  22. I think perhaps Jeff may have posted this or a similar one. If this is a report, my bad
