Copy and paste from Smokey over on ECF: AS reported overnight in a Wall Street Journal (and elsewhere), the FDA has raised the possibility that they may ban the online sales of electronic cigarettes as part of its regulatory actions, which will come into force once they have 'deemed' e-cigarettes to be Substantially Equivalent to tobacco products, probably this fall. Further, they are proposing that where e-cigarettes are lawfully sold, they are sold only to those aged 19 and over. Banning online sales would, of course, decimate the industry and destroy the amazing pace of innovation we've been witnessing over the last 5 years. Things we don't know from the article: 1. Whether they have the authority to ban online sales under the provisions of the act. 2. Whether this is being mooted, or if it's a done deal (as far as they're concerned). 3. Whether restricting online sales will require an amendment to the PACT act (and whether or not this is already in play) 4. What the policy is regarding everything else (flavorings, E-liquids versus sealed units, nicotine strength, ingredient specifications etc). 5. Whether the age restriction will also be imposed on tobacco cigarettes. Regarding the last point, raising the age of sale to 19 year olds seems bizarre if its not being done with a commensurate raising of tobacco age limits. Essentially, they're raising the bar on a product that is vastly less harmful, while leaving the product it intends to replace untouched. Also, from the article, it's clear that they have no doubts that they will be deeming E-Cigarettes as tobacco products in the near future. I will leave it to others to fill in the blanks

As soon as we saw your email I know who you where (I know people by their first names better than their forum names sometimes) You're correct you were charged $5.99 for shipping which was my mistake (I got a phone call this evening telling me to fix the mistake ha ha) I added the 30ML bottles in the system and forgot to select "free shipping" in the admin panel. I'm sure I'm due a write up Anyway Roger is opening a ticket for you and refunding the $5.99 back to your account. You should get a notification shortly

Sorry to taking so long to get back to this, today was a busy day The Marketplace is a multi vendor store. So if you purchase items from more than one vendor, you will be charge multiple shipping rates the same as you would on Amazon for example. Items ship from multiple locations. We do still offer free shipping (and have no plans to change that) You can find Vapor Talk's products by visiting the Marketplace home page, looking to the left and selecting "Vapor Talk" from the vendor list. Then "View vendor products." That will show you all products currently sold by Vapor Talk. Any of those products purchased will result in free shipping. Also, when shopping in the Marketplace you'll notice a "product filter" on the left hand side. There is an option to select "free shipping." Doing so will remove any products that do not offer free shipping making it easier for you to keep costs down. Alternatively the Vapor Talk store should be back up and running by the end of this weekend. Given the fact we're now handling transactions for multiple vendors and hundreds of orders we needed to upgrade out payment system to something a little more advanced than we were using before. If you ever have questions or concerns please don't hesitate to open a ticket and we will always address your concerns. You're also welcome to vent on us if we do something wrong

You're not being held here by a chain. Persecution is the systematic mistreatment of an individual or group by another group. You are not being singled out (Or persecuted as you put it) Every member (including staff) have the same notification under their names. Myself included. You are on a forum free of charge which simply asks that you are over 18 as we discuss (and sell) products that are for use by those over 18. Same as any adult website. This helps limit our liability. We also have entities located in California and New Jersey and as such must follow their laws. Believe me, as far as e cigarette forums go, we're probably the most lax. Though we have our own store and brand, we allow other members and suppliers to promote 3rd party products in a fairly open environment. Even if it affects our bottom line. I started this forum in 2009 and have done my best to grow this company before handing over the torch with open and fairness in mind. Your statement is offensive. Persecuted? Give me a break.

Yup That is correct it's only shown to you and staff. We could hide it from members to avoid the confusion but I always thought it better that you see what we see.

I agree 0mg is becoming higher in demand than it once was. There are a couple of suppliers that are in the middle of uploading products. I believe one of them sells quite a bit of 0mg juice. Currently we have 378 new products pending categorization.

FDA Announcment here: http://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/eAgendaViewRule?pubId=201304&RIN=0910-AG38 While we don't know what the regulation will be, I've been chatting with a few individuals via email over the last week. Though speculation, it's believed that the FDA may ban any flavors that are not tobacco related. So essentially Menthol, Tobacco variations etc only (No Candy like flavors which could deem attractive to underage users) It's likely there will be heavy restriction on liquid creation. Now this isn't' necessarily bad, but it depends on what is required. Licensing, regulation and production requirements will always lead to higher cost naturally. It's also likely that states will follow suite with taxation. There's also rumor that online sales may be terminated at some point (which most of us have speculated) but at this point, it's all educated guessing. (and would require further legislation) Keep your eyes open and your stockpiles up.
