lol talk about a roller coaster ride eh? Let me explain what's happening here for the tech inclined. We use a cache plugin that helps run the front end of the site (Store, Blog etc) Basically it should only cache items in our root folder and should ignore /forum/. However, it's not following the ignore rules like it should. Vapor Talk has a CDN network these days that helps keep the forum, store, blog etc loading nice and speedy no matter your location. The forum and the front end both have their own cache plugins that help manage this. But, this one particular plugin is being a little b....heh...it's the forum let me rephrase, it's not doing what it's supposed to. At any rate I've notified the developers about the issue and they're going to release a patch in the next week or two. Remember this is developer time so it could take longer. Once I have that update my ignore rules will start working and it will stop trying to simplify the /smokefree and /forums folder When you see the smoker banner coming back it's because I have the cache module turned off. You'll notice this happens mostly at night. That's because I need the cache system offline while I update major core files. At any rate once it's fully fixed, I'll be sure to post back here and don't worry I won't forget our beloved smoke banner I'm also under some pressure by the board to finish up another sister site we're currently building So a few things here on the forum are on the back burner so I don't get the pitch fork.

And to think, I remember when this forum had only 5 members!

So it would seem.... The script seems to work fine it's when we turn our CDN on that things get...funky. (The CDN is what helps push our content around the globe) Anyway I just need to figure out which file isn't uploading correctly. I'm also in the process of launching another website (company) that's going to be an addition to Vapor Talk for Vendors as well as our new Convention and Vaping Meets portal. So once THAT's all done lol *eye twitches* then I'll really delve into this script and see what the dillio is At the rate we're going we're going to need another PHP dev. because I'm getting backed up lol (and Tam that GIF was perfect)

Yes I'm aware of the issue. It looks like the smoke banner may have finally died a cold death. It's a very old script (created one the forum first opened!) I'm going to see if I can't rewrite it but it might take me some time. With that said though, so long as you don't change your signatures once I fix it, they will all load back up with the same stats as it's saved in the Database

Something wrong with the E-Liquid Catagory
Christopher replied to Compenstine's topic in Website Feedback & Bug Reporting
ha! You and I caught that bug at the same time. I was going through the logs and noticed the mobile site was loading on desktop versions. It probably just so happened that I fixed it right as you were clicking the other links. I forgot to make some user agent adjustments (basically telling our CDN network to ignore certain agent depending on Mobile or Desktop) anyway should be resolved now -
Just an update on this I need to make a few rule changes to our CDN. Will take a little while to update but should be fixed by this evening

That script is so old I'm surprised it actually still works! Let me look into this and see what the problem is. I'll report back shortly.

You're most welcome. I'll go ahead and close out this thread but feel free to create a new one anytime!

Hey Spydre, The main reason is demand honestly believe it or not when we had them in 30ml bottles they sat on the shelf for a good amount of time before finally being sent out. Most everyone prefers the smaller bottles for portability. But if there is enough demand for it, I can pass it up the chain and see if we can't get some more 30ml bottles in. What flavors were you looking for us to carry? As for the bottles, each one actually has a soft spot. Gently push your thumb around the bottle with the cap off and you'll find it, you can make a little mark and you'll notice it squeezes much easier than the rest of the bottle We had to thicken the bottles early last year to ensure they didn't crack when shipping. We also use PETE1 plastic which some suppliers may not use. (The same plastic used for water bottles)

I had a reply here but for some reason it didn't show up before I left for Shanghai. I actually code the forum and use Chrome as my primary browser so it is in fact, very Chrome friendly. Most of the issues that are reported actually come down to the reply box, naturally a big part of the forum. The box you use to type in, edit and post comments is from a 3rd party developer IPB hires to assist with their forum software. It has some bugs of which we're aware. With that said though, we're due here pretty soon for a huge forum upgrade. We are running on IPB 3.X and plan to upgrade to 4.0 shortly which is a large upgrade, once that happens, most of the bugs reported will be resolved so there isn't much point in patching them up now as the editor we'll be using is completely different. Hang tight and we'll have most of these bugs ironed out soon In the mean time, if the bug is fairly large and you believe it's affecting your overall experience, post back here with some screenshots of the exact issue with as much detail as possible (So I can try to replicate the issue) and I'll see what we can't do to get it fixed.

That would be me, I just returned from Shanghai so I apologise for the delay. I'll check the support system shortly but you're also welcome to ask directly here
-
Sorry for the delay! We are out in China and can only connect to the forum through a VPN which has been a bit of a nightmare. I've got a good connection finally and will look into this ASAP

Alright Members - Single Coil Feedback
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
It's amazing how experiences seem to fluctuate so much. Interestly enough if you speak with the reps over at Kanger they'll generally tell you that they work across various tanks. However given that it seems to be an issue we'll go ahead and update the descriptions to match the suggestions made here in the thread as well as Kangers original guidelines (Posted rather than verbal) By the way thanks for all the feedback, it's all the little changes that makes things easier for everyone -

That I'd be interested to hear as I don't use the KPT mini. Deborah on the other hand uses the AeroTank Mini and doesn't have any issues. I will say the short stem coils are a disaster in the AeroTanks. I used the short stems a couple of times to test them out on my devices and I had nothing but leaking through the air holes. Though they seem to work fine on the KPT, KPT2 -

Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
ah I see gurgling is not the same as leaking. It's rare but I have had an issue with gurgling maybe a few times at most. Generally when I fly, after landing the tank is usually shot and needs to be blown out and the tank cleaned before it works at it's peak performance again. -
Hi Folks, So a thread was started yesterday as well as a support ticket stating the Single Coil Coils from Kanger do not work on dual coil devices. See product here: http://www.vaportalk.com/shop/pro-aero-tank-refill-coils/ Now apparently these are leaking on people who purchase them on their KPT3's and up. (Dual Coil Devices) However I've used both the Single Coil and the Dual coil on the AeroTanks and KPT3 without an issue. Granted the dual coils work much better but I've never had a problem with leaking. However if this is common issue I don't want the store advertising it works with KTP3's and up if in fact people are having issues (regardless of our personal experience) So what's the deal, let's get some feedback going so we can figure out what's going on here

Suppliers can only post in classifieds section and their own sub forum. This is due to the amount of spam we received when allowing suppliers to post board wide.
