In an effort to create some more areas for members to chit chat without it having to be vape related We've created the "Ask Vapor Talk" sub forum. Similar to Reddit's Askreddit you should post broad thoughtful or interesting discussion based questions to the community at large. Questions and topics don't have to be related to vaping. Some good examples (that you're welcome to use) are: What tasty food would be disgusting if eaten over ice? What are some must have Chrome extensions? What's the coolest thing you can buy under $25How do you subtly mess with someone? What's the best movie you've watched the completely twisted your mind?ALL TITLES SHOULD BE IN QUESTION FORM.And so on. Answers do not have to be serious and can be funn. However if you start a thread that you wish to have only serious answers then be sure to tag it with SERIOUS. Staff will moderate off topics and inappropriate replies only on topics that have this tag.

Do the Mods/Admins have the ability too
Christopher replied to cany's topic in Website Feedback & Bug Reporting
lol I think this is the case with every forum since the beginning of time. Nobody searches. I can't count how many questions I've answered either here on the board or in the support system that have been answered a thousand times over. But, noobs are just lookin' for a little love. If we merged them all I think there'd be 5 topics total -

We'll sometimes do the same thing here but it depends. If two newbie's ask the same question for example, we usually leave them alone as it gives each user individual attention (that they might not otherwise get). It generally let's them know we want to answer their question rather than the question. On the other hand if a major event occurred, let's say the FDA created a new regulation and all of a sudden three topics were started in the general forum looking for answers, we might merge them to keep everyone in the loop and organized during the "freak out." Again though it just depends on the situation and whether or not it's called for. (There are also other times we might not catch a multi thread that needs merged and sometimes need a heads up) Another thing is SEO. Multiple threads might ask the same type of question but may be asked differently. This helps us when indexing the site on Google. If two people search for the same thing asked two different ways, they might find a thread here on Vapor Talk they may otherwise have not had it not been for those two threads not being merged. -

ATT Newbies & Vets Alike - Sub Forum Requests
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Some great ideas here and the 420 or THC based sub forum is being heavily discussed by the staff at the moment as it's the taboo topic no other forum wants to discuss. (And interestingly Vapor Talk was started once upon a time after some disagreement with ECF members. May as well keep the controversial roots going ) At any rate if we did include such a sub forum it would likely have it's own category with a heavily regulated set of rules to ensure those topics didn't leak out into the main forum.- 19 replies

Not a bad idea. The campaigning forum was supposed to be sorted of aimed at this but may have been named wrong. Would renaming the forum to include both work or do you believe a separate forum would populate topics fairly quickly? (We're open to either honestly so long as the sub forums as used)- 19 replies

It does and has since inception Just click the sub forum icon. (See image) Unless you mean mark a sub sub forum as read, then that is something we'd need to add in.- 19 replies

Hi Folks, So we plan to add some new sub forums to the board this week. (a few have already been added) What sub forums do you feel are missing that you'd like added to the forum? A few suggestions have been "open politics forum" and "request for opinions/reviews" (already added) Are their any other sub forums you'd like added?

ATT Members: Page not found errors
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in Website Feedback & Bug Reporting
We've had a few people (including Jeff) complain about the tag system. I'll remove it as a requirement -
Sounds like you're probably vaping indoors were you might have smoked outdoors. PG will dry out your eyes so make sure you have a ventilation source. Also drinking a little extra water never hurts

I'm actually not 100% sure the source of the problem though I suspect it's out .htaccess file (if you're curious) If it says "page not found" and it appears to be a forum error, then I know it's the forum software. If the page not found error comes up and it's a big gray screen (I think it even has an icon, I can't remember what I put there now) then I know it's the front end of the site acting up, in which case I've got a pretty good idea of what's causing the issue. With that said I'll need more feedback the moment it happens. Exactly what you did before it happened and a screenshot is always a bonus (Use imgur if the forum doesn't allow the file size) Feedback is gold and the more I get the easier it has to fix old bertha! -

3 diff members reported it while using the site itself rather than TapaTalk for example. The "mobile" site is actually the same as the desktop site now. The site is adjusts automatically. (Go ahead and shrink your browser window from left to right and you'll see it in action) So usually if there is an issue, it's across the board. (On the flip side when we fix something, it generally fixes it across the board as well) -
Hi Folks, Some members are reporting that when they click on various links or when they try to submit a new post/reply the site display as page not found error. I've made some rule changes that I believe will fix this issue. Can you all please kindly report back here if the issue continues. If this topic stays blank I'll assume it's not fixed

You definitely need to bring the nicotine down. This is dead giveaway and very common symptom that your nic content is too high
