  1. ahh you know what, now that I think about it I'm not sure if Johnsons creek will ship to canada. Let us know if he does!
  2. Can you please fill out your location? This will help us remember where you are located. (Canada right?) I really don't think you will have issues getting juice over the boarder, not that small anyway. It's usually the really large amounts that have trouble, IE 500-600ML
  3. You can get your products from China however good luck trying to find out where. Trade secrets... In order to purchase from China you normally have to buy in bulk, usually about $500 is the norm. I wouldn't mind the gov taxing, actually let me take that back, if I had to have choice between ban and tax I'd take the tax. Sucks, but it's better than nothing. And yes we are all sweating bullets.
  4. I often times boil my atomizers especially the PeeWee's. Makes them work great afterwards.
  5. Sometimes it's bad luck and they just die out. Atomizers need to be treated as a disposable part of the ecig. However before you throw it out make sure that it's completely dry this is important. If your sure then you need to add about 3 drop of liquid. THEN start puffing on it again. If you tried to puff on it dry you may have killed it. Also you say there is no vape but do you still feel it getting warm?
  6. Hmm I really get the feeling that the juice you are smoking is crap. Usually people don't get sore throats right after vaping, (at least not as bad as it sounds like you have) but rather when they wake up in the morning. The solution for this is to drink some water or gargle a bit of water. The nicotine can attach to your mucus cells and cause them to become irritated. When I first started e smoking I remember I had a bit of throat irritation but I don't remember it being like you are describing now. If you feel it's the PG in the liquid you could always head over to http://www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com/ as they create liquid in both PG and non PG. Let me know if you have any other questions!
  7. Not what I was expecting from Canada. But at least they are allowing for a licence to sell. http://uk.sys-con.com/node/895651
  8. Don't worry about the noob questions your going to be helping people who view the forum in the future Prime puffs are ok, helps get the atomizer going, I do that on my Penstyle, especially when I'm outside at night. Glad it's working out better for you!
  9. ha ha I've seen that one, what a dumb ***
  10. MOVED: I created a new topic for this post. I've never heard of this model number before. To bad you didn't find us before you purchased. This could be from a few things, either the liquid is of bad quality or your just getting used to vaping as it's a little different from smoking. Also the Penstyle tends to be rather strong. From now on I would order liquid from Puresmoker.com or Dietsmokes as I've ordered from both suppliers and can vouch for their quality. It very well could be that your getting used to it, however if you continue to cough after smoking for a few hours, then something isn't right. That's not normal. What is normal is coughing when you wake up in the morning, this is your body now finally able to clean out your lungs of all the crap you have been smoking for years. However if you cough every time you are taking a hit on the e-cig then something isn't right. Perhaps try taking smaller puffs. Keep in mind with the ecig it's better to take long slow draws rathern than short big ones. Well I smoked Marlboro lights as well, I smoked a little over a pack a day and 16 is perfect for me, although I sometimes smoke the 24 if I'm having a bad day. However only you can tell what's right for you. If you start to get headaches and nausea (constantly) then this is a sign of Nicotine overdose. You will need to move to a lower strength. If you do end up smoking to much, just put down the pen and drink plenty of fluids. The most important thing is to listen to your body! The popping sound is very normal. Although you shouldn't have to suck hard on the Penstyle at all, it should feel a little like sucking air from a McDonald's straw. If it gets to the point in which you feel like you are sucking on a milkshake the atomizer is either clogged and needs cleaned (which is really bad if you've only had it a few days) or it's crap made. I've tried a couple of Penstyles, for me the one that popped and crackled and had a weird model number sucked. However my RN and DSE models are fantastic. My RN Penstyle doesn't crack or pop at all and it's a vapor beast. Once the vapor drops the cart needs to be change. It will last ABOUT 5-8 cigs. yes you do! The normal flavors suck! I also am not much for the coffee flavors. Your welcome. I don't think your atomizer is bad, however I don't think it's great either. Sorry if I have any typos as I was typing rather fast.
  11. You can read the letter here: http://www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk/campaign...erg-letter.html
  12. Chair of Tobacco Control Group Asks Senator to Reconsider Ban In a fax dated March 27, the Chair of the Tobacco Control Group for the American Association of Public Health Physicians, Dr Joel L. Nitzkin, stated that he "vigorously" opposed Senator Lautenburg's proposal that the Electronic Cigarette be withdrawn from sale. In the letter to the Senator, the doctor agreed that there needed to be stricter controls over both the manufacture of electronic cigarettes and the claims Doctor Tells Sen. Lautenburg: Cancel Your Opposition to the Electronic Cigarette made by e-cigarette retailers. However, he also stated that, given the low smoking cessation rates amongst habitual smokers both with and without smoking cessation aids, alternatives to smoking should not be banned. Available evidence, the doctor argued, appears to indicate that alternatives to smoking, including the electronic cigarette, are far safer than smoking cigarettes. "Alternative nicotine delivery devices, including, but not limited to electronic cigarettes, have no products of combustion and none of the toxins in cigarette tobacco... As best we can tell, on the basis of currently available research data, these products promise a risk of illness and death well under 1% of the risk posed by cigarettes." Senator Lautenburg, who received over $126,000 in campaign funding from pharmecutical companies, recently wrote a letter to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requesting that the electronic cigarette be taken off the market until proven safe. 13. awww poor Vacker! I guess so then. Want some chicken soup? I'll send it right over
  14. Here's another Does Big Pharm Have Links to an Anti E-Cigarette Campaign? http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1...anti.html?cat=3
  15. Thanks to James over at ashtrayblog.com for this gem... A coalition of public health campaigners are asking the FDA to remove the Electronic Cigarette from US shop shelves. They all have one thing in common - funding from the big drug companies whose nicotine replacement therapies, with their side effects and low success rates, are under threat from the new drug. Senator Lautenberg, who wrote to the FDA demanding that the device be removed from shelves, received $126,000 in funding from the pharmecutical companies during his election campaign. And members of an anti e-smoking coalition who have issued a press release in support of the senator have also received millions in funds from the pharmecutical industry, much of it from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, a foundation with shares in Johnson and Johnson worth over 700 million dollars. The money was originally paid to the organisations such as the American Lung Association to lobby against smoking and smokers and for a smoking ban, and it is not clear if there is also pressure to lobby against the electronic cigarette. What is clear is that the industry is watching the electronic cigarette closely, with a section in one industry report entitled: E-Cigarettes Will Revolutionise the Face of Tobacco Smoking and Could Pose a Threat to the Smoking Cessation Market. As most attempts to quit using cessation aids fail - according to Michael Siegel, proffessor of professor in the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department, Boston University School of Public Health, the success rate is less than ten percent - the $3 billion market in cessation aids is vulnerable to new and safer smoking alternatives. And with those who claim to care about smokers' health lobbying against a safer alternative to a habit that kills 1 in 2 of long term smokers, the motivation of public health campaigners is bound to fall under suspicion. Source: http://www.nowpublic.com/health/big-pharm-...tte-campaigners Un freaking believable.
  16. Ha ha yea the "Marlboro" carts are pretty bad! Johnsons creek juice is pretty good, however I LOVE Puresmoker.com's juice. Riskee if very good and so is Cola. The higher nic flavors to me start to taste kinda funny so I stick with the 16MG. Not sure if that is high enough for you. That's probably just the cart. That's why we all "dry smoke" (which is dripping directly on the atomizer) you will get much more consistant hits, and MUCH stronger. The more vapor, the more nicotine. You've made the first good choice which IMO is the Pentsyle, which can take a really good beating. Where did you get your Penstyle from?
  17. Well some models do work better than other. For example the RN and DSE models are known to be the best. I'll update this thread when I get home in the morning. Never head of the CS. Could be another manufacture using "blueprints" to create their own.
  18. That's pretty much what we all agree on. If you do a search on the forum I posted the MSDS sheets on PG. It's been deemed safe for general use but has not been studied long term as an inhalant. There was a study posted online however in which a doctor monitored monkeys for over a year using PG and there was no adverse side affects. In fact it was found that PG killed influenza. I'll have to find the study and create a new topic. It's quite interesting. (There is a couple of esmokers on the forum that noticed they didn't catch the flu while working in a hospital, they where the ones, one was a nurse and the other was a doctor, they both smoke electronic cigarettes. Could have been a coincidence though)
  19. to bad we missed this! Do you have a link to the recording?
  20. hows the battery life? What are the dimensions?
  21. Sounds like a plan to me. I know there is already a member out there that is getting ready to create a google poll that can be used regardless as to what forum you belong to. I'll keep you update I find out more. What type of questions would you like to see Poppa?
