  1. I've made some edits, can you tell me if this is now resolved? (Also my apologies for the delay!)
  2. That's a bit like me sometimes. I used to like Pink Spot when options were limited but I noticed some of their flavors have that sort of chapstick flavors IMO. (When I say chapstick I mean when you purchase one of those random off brand chapsticks that are flavored. Pink Spot has a similar taste to me) I've never tried EC blends but they seem to have a huge selection of flavors.
  3. There is such a wide variety of brands, flavors, mixes these days it's a stark contrast to what was available only a few years ago! Personally I switch between Vapor Talk's Sweet Dawn (simple it's still a favorite), some of Vapor Chef's liquids (they're hit and miss but I enjoy a few of their flavors), Ben Jonson's Apogee and finally BeKuali's Granny Apple and watermelon are good. I generally lean to higher PG (If I can get 80/20 PGVG I'll pick it up though these young vapin VG'ers will usually shoot off a few odd looks) I vape VT's Sweet Dawn because I just have for years and it never lets me down, (Also my coil failure rate is very low with VT liquids) I helped create it and I always have a stash around, I like Vapor Chef's liquid because it generally doesn't have that chapstick sort of flavor so many liquids do, BeKuali because I trust the liquid and Apogee because damn if that stuff isn't just down right tasty. So what brand, mix ratio and flavor do you generally vape or switch between and why have you chosen that brand?
  4. You know it really bothers me the whole "China bad, 'Merica good." I'm going to be devil's advocate here and say that not all US liquid makers are exempt here. If I recall correctly 5 Pawns had an issues with Diacetyl in their eliquid not to long ago. (And I recall some members on the forum avidly supporting their quality) This isn't a shot at 5 pawns, I'm sure they've corrected the issue by now, but the point is, we should take every study seriously and not simply dismiss it because it's "probably Chinese e liquid." While there are some top notch US liquid makers, you're naive if you really think China goes out of there way to produce low quality liquid. Sure some manufacturers might, but not all. (The same can be said equally for here in the US) I've visited a number of local retailers across the country some of which carry some seriously shady e liquids. I've seen Dekang facility first hand for example and it's not some shoddy warehouse pumping out liquid it's a literally a multi million dollar state of the art facility. (They make some serious quarterly profits and they have the capital to invest) Some US liquid makers are mixing in the rear of their retail store. While "of course we don't use Diacetyl" might be enough for some people, why do we extend so much trust and leeway to US manufactures? (or any manufacture for that matter) I remember talking to a vaper who was loyal to X brand of e liquid because it's "safer than that Chinese ****" and I asked him, have you ever requested a breakdown report? Do they have monograph reports up on their website? At the very least are they mixing in an ISO certified clean room? The guy didn't have an answer and neither do most vapers. They just jump on the US bandwagon and say I vape this because I know it's safer. Thing is, back when us old timers started their was legitimate concern over Chinese e liquids. It was the only source for e liquid at one point and because of trade secrets, very little information about how this stuff was produced. These days most manufactures worth their salt have no issue posting lab reports online along with at least some kind of certification. There is an e-liquid manufacturer on the east coast that I'm currently under an NDA with but they perform testing on 3rd party e liquids. While some of them passed free and clear for Diacetyl they failed for heavy metal traces. Others passed heavy metal tests but were shown positive for trade amounts of Diacetyl or Diethylene glycol. It was eye opening to see some of the reports. I'd asked why they don't display these reports online and because they themselves produce eliquid have been advised against it for legal reasons. But I can tell you, not all US liquids are as "clean" as you might believe them to be. (Same goes for other countries as well) Late last year I attended a conference with some of the top manufactures in China and do you know what it was about? Safety. It was ensuring their liquid was free of unnecessary additives as well as ensuring the purity of their liquids before shipping out across the world. They were also working with some well known testing facilities out of Europe prior to TPD rearing it's head. I'm not saying you should choose one country over another or that China has liquid superior to US manufactures, I'm simply saying that spouting off that US liquid is good, China is bad is a really lumping some good manufactures in with a couple of shady ones. It's really no different here in the states with some brands mixing this stuff in the basement of their own homes. Whatever liquid you're vaping, you should go ahead and email your vendor and ask them for reports. I say hold every brand accountable. Ask if they have reports for Nicotine level verification, Diacetyl, Diethylene glycol, Ethylene glycol, heavy metals, HPHC analysis and see how many of them produce results. I'm not voting for a nanny state here, I'm simply saying that some of this liquid costs 20-30 bucks a bottle and if you ask me, someone damn well better be investing some of those high costs in ensuring we have safe, clean e liquid. otherwise what's the point of switching to vaping other than less of a smell. I also don't think you should simply be confident in the brand you're using because it was "made in the USA."
  5. hmm ok let me look into it and see if we can't get the forum link back
  6. When you say you couldn't access the forum did you receive an error? Or did the link simply not work? When you visit VaporTalk.com (which is the store) there is a link in the hamburger menu and footer which links to the forum. When you click it, the mobile version should auto load. The only exception is if you have your phone set to "load desktop version" in which case the full version of the forum will load. At any rate, the more details you have the more I can look into the issue and see if we can't fix it
  7. Going to assume this has been resolved. If not feel free to PM me
  8. Solved and locked
  9. Please post a screenshot of the broken link so I can better understand what you are talking about
  10. Great I'm going to lock up this thread, PM if you have any other issues
  11. Once you guys verify the post after X minutes is working then Aminds will have 60 (same as me) as for editing other members posts that should be the same as I haven't changed anything. How often are other posts edited/required editing? (Feel free to PM)
  12. This issue here is whether or not you can edit your own posts after X amount of time. In this case everyone has 15 minutes of time to edit their posts. After that the post closed. (Before it was closing immediately but that seems to be resolved)
  13. @Tam I have made some updates, if you could verify the edit is is resolved
  14. This may be with TapaTalk itself but I'll check to see if there are any available patches and will update shortly. I've made some updates to the TapaTalk API and verified connection through my cell and all appears to be fine. Please confirm if you're able to connect to the forum
  15. actually I think LOL accidently got listed in the swear word filter lol I'll have to update that thing, it's two years old at least hmm I looked into the filter and can't seem to find lol listed. Odd that it's blanking it out. You know honestly, this is an adult forum anyway we could probably do away with the swear filter. I mean a couple curse words aren't going to kill anything. Though, I'll probably put that to a vote first
  16. Yes and then burn Firefox while you're at it lol Actually no FF Is fine but I have a number of websites even outside of Vapor Talk (Chrisorah's website included) that for some reason just wouldn't display the CSS correctly. At any rate yea Chrome likely won't have any issues. Though the FF issue should be address in the next week, week and a half :)
  17. I believe I've fixed the edit problem, though it seems to come at random. As for the emoticons, those are "parsing" ok for me. I'm going to guess and say you're using Firefox lol (Everyone having issues seems to be on FF)
  18. Thanks Hopefully, if not I'll send the error shots over to Christian who can take a closer look but even still shouldn't take too long
  19. Interesting, I had another website we manage that had similar issues with Firefox as well (seems to be the last two versions they released). Basically it doesn't load the page CSS correctly. I'll open the forum up in FF and see if I can figure out what the problem is and go from there.
  20. hmm that's odd. (I see all the format options so they should be there) 1. What browser are you using? 2. Mobile or desktop? 3. What version Once I can replicate what you're seeing I can make a patch to resolve the issue :)
  21. Moving to the help it broke section
  22. oh I see, not a problem. Go ahead and PM me your address. We don't ship to Thailand generally so I'll need to call up the warehouse and find out how much the shipping cost is. If I had to guess though (I don't handle day to day operations any more) it's probably around 20 bucks
  23. These are military addresses. You mentioned you where "stationed" in Thailand.
