Do what darth said, there is nothing worse than cart fibers burning up. Doesn't taste good at all! I take the black cart off, remove the Cotton, wipe it off and drip 2 drops or so onto the atomizer. Replace the cap vape and repeat. Burnt taste should go away pretty quick

I couldn't tell you to be honest. I've never tried it. Although an atomizer enemy is water. The reason I say this is because some people clean their atomizer with water (I have in the past as well) However if they go to use the atomizer when it isn't dry it will die out. They can usually revive it by waiting for the atomizer to dry. With that being said, I'm guessing that by adding water you will most likely stop your atomizer from working.

Wait so big tobacco is funding the study? That's huge, because although sort of hate them, they have the money and the know how to get these things passed by the FDA. The only thing I worry about is them kicking down the small end grass root suppliers. Which of couse would suck. But either way it could be a positive thing for ecigs.

You know what it could be as well is the fiber inside the cart. I know that when I used to use carts with fiber still in them I would get the burnt thing often. However I now use a different juice (my own) and my carts do not have fiber. Sean do you still have fiber in your carts? I never noticed when you drip if you do or not.

Hmmm no the burnt taste isn't normal. You know I haven't had that taste in a long time, I used to get it when I used Pure Smokers liquid back in the day. All I did was add another drop of juice every time I got the burnt taste and it stop happening. Does this happen on the atomizer in which you removed the threads?

Yea dripping and driving is a no go lol As for the vapor production not sure why you don't get as much as we do, but keep in mind I usually (and so does Sean) take a pretty large draw before we finally exhale. Usually about a 3-4 second steady easy draw.

+1 for Jeff. We all know just how well the patch works right? I went on that thing and managed to stay off analogs for about a week if I remember correctly. But during that time I was a mean mother. Then I moved over to the gum, which I'll be honest wasn't as bad, I actually quite for about 3 or 4 weeks, but I would always get those serious urges, and of course if something even remotely stressful happened, bam back to the cigarettes. Ecigs are so darn effective it's nuts. You know it's funny I was just taking some vitamins when I woke up this morning, and one of the vitamins I take is Fish Oil. (Good for the heart) Guess what one of the ingredients are?... Propylene Glycol.

Well you figure the local tobacco shops sell TOBACCO. Of course they are going to get a little hostile, this could have the potential to run them out of business. Now of course they can start selling ecigs, but selling tobacco I'm sure is what they have been doing for years. Give it some time and I'm sure you will see the ecig start to show in these stores. The best way to fill your ecig or keep up on your supply of juice is to purchase at various suppliers online. Have a look at the supplier list on the main page.

Or you could always do what I do, take the orange cart off and look inside, there is a white holder with cotton inside. If you take a paper clip or something similar you can actually pop that holder out. Which will leave you with a "blank cart." That way all you have to do is drop liquid onto the atomizer and not worry about the cart. That's what I've been doing now for about 16 weeks or so. Some models don't have a holder that can be removed, if that's the case with yours, just pull out the cotton, there really isn't much need for it IMO when you drip. The problem with dripping into the mouth piece is sometimes you'll miss hitting it dead on, so you'll end up getting liquid in your mouth, which of course we all know isn't tasty at all.

Ha ha welcome Noobie!! I was the same way when I first started, I'm glad you found us because we can help you through the whole process. You have 3 parts to the ecig, which you probably already now know. The bottom which is the batter, the atomizer which is the middle and is all silver (with a little coil inside) and the cartridge on top. Yes putting drips inside is called "dripping" or dry smoking depending on who you talk to. If you want to "drip" here's what ya do 1. With the whole ecig put together, take off the orange top (sometimes it's black) you can now see the steel atomizer 2. Drop 2 drips (and no more) INSIDE the atomiser, try to hit the little silver coil that's shaped like a horse shoe. 3. Pop the cart/cap back on 4. Take a draw just like a real cigarette. Only this time take a slow easy drag, rather than a fast hard hit like an analog. (Analog is slang for cigarette in the ecig world) Here is a video I made quite a while back before I started Vapor Talk.
