I don't know how ***'s stand however I purchased a new insurance policy a few months back and when they asked "do you smoke" I said no but I vape. I had to explain the whole processes and the women was intrigued however she stated it fell under "do you use anything which delivers nicotine" Thus my premiums are the same as that of a tobacco users. This product is to new for Insurance Companies to accept it I think.

I was emailed a link to this neat social networking site. Perhaps the future Myspace for ecig users? http://www.vapersplace.com/

I suggest everyone has look on the forum before purchasing their new ecig. We have countless video reviews and links to suppliers that where created so this wouldn't happen. DOA is not uncommon with China and it's the risk you pay for getting a deal. American suppliers are usually higher in price yes, but they normally offer a warranty.

There are no manual batteries for that model that I know of. There are no other batteries that will fit on that model that I know of. I wouldn't leave your battery charging for too long, but I don't think it something you have to worry about. I leave mine in overnight all the time

As members send me more letters I will post them here for everyone to use. You may change them as you wish or keep them the same. I will also create another post with a list of every email address you need. For now please use this link (Click Here) and start sending those emails! I also recommend you send the letter/email to the following news stations (This would be even better, get it nation wide!): 1. Fox News: Click Here 2. CNN: Click Here 3. MSNBC: Health@MSNBC.com Bill O'Reilly: Click Here WHEN EMAILING THE GOVENEOR IN CALIFONRIA PLEASE USE "SB400 BILL" SOMEWHERE IN YOUR SUBJECT SO HE KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. LETTER NUMBER 1 - By Keenan Dear Sir, This letter is in response to the recent passing in California of the SB400 Bill that would ban the sale of Electronic Cigarettes, or "E-Cigs". I urge you to make every effort to ensure the bill does NOT get introduced, at least not in the blind manner in which it was brought forth here in California. In these tumultuous times, your constituents, and citizens across this country, are growing weary of the needs and pleasures of the many being decided by the closed minds of a select few. In an atmosphere of heated debate over the rising costs of Health Care , when a product comes along that will GREATLY reduce those costs, it boggles the collective mind that our elected representatives will not even CONSIDER the alternative being offered to smokers that will, in effect, give those clamoring for a "Smoke Free" society exactly what they want. The passing of such a bill not only brings to a crashing halt the THOUSANDS of success stories already born of this product, it makes it impossible for those wishing to break the chains of cigarette addiction to realize their dream. E- Cigs were not introduced, nor are they advertised as a quit smoking device, thats just the accidental by-product that was stumbled upon. We in the E-Cig community say this - Research, Yes. Prohibit sales to minors, Yes. Take the bullet out of the gun smokers put in their mouths EVERY day - no brainer. Again sir, please assure me that you will not let the unfair bill pass. This is TOO important a matter to be taken lightly. Thank You for Your time Unedited Verion Here LETTER NUMBER 2 - By Kmel Dear Governor Schwarzenegger, Please do not sign SB400! This was a bill that was originally designed to keep electronic cigarettes out of the hands of children, a purpose which we would have all agreed with in its original form. However SB400, somehow in a matter of a few days, morphed into a complete "prohibition of of the sale of electronic cigarettes in California" and passed in the Senate, while we were commemorating 9/11 and had absolutely no time to protest its altered scope and intention. This bill does not represent the will of the people of the State of California! Although not sold as a "quit smoking device", thousands have successfully used the electronic cigarette to quit or or greatly reduce their tobacco smoking and reduce the health risks associated with the combustion of tobacco. Prohibiting the sale of the e-cigarette will not only return many to smoking cigarettes, it could also create a new black market in e cig material that will turn ordinary citizens into "criminals of the State" just to get their nicotine in a safer form. SB400 was a good intention, run amok. The same arguments re "flavors appealing to children" could also be used to bar the sale of Peppermint Schnapps. California is losing jobs, and we will now be shutting down e cigarette businesses? It makes no sense. Please Governor Schwarzenegger, represent us where our legislators failed us and don't sign SB400 into law! Sincerely, Your Name Letter Number 3 - by Cancer (His own personal experience was added and you can see how powerful this letter has become) Dear Sir, I'd like to start this off on a person note, I've just got through a year of fighting throat cancer & while things look good right now I'm not out of the woods yet. But after almost 40 years of smoking, trying every group, OTC or Rx from my Dr...and cancer I just can't quit smoking cigarettes. Then I started using E-Cigs back in July & I have not picked up a regular cig since. I'm not necessary looking to stop smoking, I'm just trying real hard not to die. E-Cigs are working for me & now somebody wants to take them away from me. This is just NOT FAIR. This letter is in response to the recent passing in California of the SB400 Bill that would ban the sale of Electronic Cigarettes, or "E-Cigs". I urge you to make every effort to ensure the bill does NOT get introduced, at least not in the blind manner in which it was brought forth here in California. Please guys let's get those emails out! It will only take a few minutes to hit all these sources, heck even if you only send to one source it will help. Show them we mean business, let's start kicking *** and taking names (In a professional and respectful way)

Guys, Over the last few days you have probably noticed the forums moving around and thought "wtf is Chris doing?" As the forum grows I'm trying to make sure everything is as user friendly as possible. I've been monitoring the forums closely has new members come in, watching how they move about the forum. So although it looks very random I was watching which section worked best in what place. Anyway I've created a new DIY E Juice section per requests for the VT Members I've also separated the Noobie area, they now have their own category. Everything is now where it should be, thanks for baring with me as the forums grow, and thanks for sticking it out with Vapor Talk, I already feel like some of you are my new family! (No I'm not buying you Christmas Gifts )

What's With The States Trying To Bann Ecigs
Christopher replied to chadzilla's topic in New Vapers Forum
I don't care what news station it is, so long as they can help our cause! -
There are no manual batteries for that model. I hate to say but you really have to purchase a better model. That said, you CAN still drip on it if you wish, you just have to make sure you don't over do it. Use 2 drips max then make sure you lay the ecig on it's side or take the atomizer off so as not to get liquid inside the battery.

Another great idea, let's get these letters going. Perhaps one for the media outlets and one for the legislators. Looks like we have some great ideas so let's put them into action. If noone can come up with some default letters then I'll see what I can put togeather. Just remember guys, you can either sit here hoping someone like Vapor Talk/ECF will make this all go away OR you can start taking action now. We really need your help on this. Anyone who has ideas for letters or letter templates and doeos not wish to post it on the forum send me a PM and I'll edit the letter if you want.
-
Those are all awesome ideas, I think the easiest one would be the generic letter. Can someone here get a default letter going? I know Vacker (a member here on the forum) has an eye for grammatical errors and typos. Once the letter is complete I can create a new announcement with the email address and contact info to Arnold. From there I'll start listing off senators by state. I could also work on a contact box built into the forums, click your state copy the letter and off it goes. Let's get some letter posted guys! I know we can do this! Even if the letter is taken from another source let's get SOMETHING going!

It's normal for the atty to get, but if it get's REALLY hot then set it down for a minute. You will know when it's time to change the cart because the vapor will get low. Cartridges only last about 4-5 analogs worth. That's why we all use liquid.
-
Here is a review from GrimmGreen, I havn't watched this one but this guy does great reviews

If they precharged it then vape away! A cartomizer model is when the atomizer is built into the cart. Every time you use a new cart you get a new atomizer. This option is a big expensive though. http://www.vapornine.com has them I'm also going to move this thread over to the noobie area.

E Mail Your Congressman
Christopher replied to keenan's topic in Vaping Legislation & Regulation News
Agreed. Moving to general area so everyone can see it -
Please post a link to where you purchased your ecig from. Perhaps you have a cartomizer model. If you don't have a cartomizer model, then I should note that it helps to have to atomizer ON the battery to take of the cart. They are a little stiff when you first buy them.
-
It's a very simple process. 1. You have 3 pieces. Atomizer, Battery, Cart. 2. Plug the battery into the charger. The initial charge should be for about 6 hours. (8 hours is overkill IMO) 3. Take the battery out of the charger (after the initial charge) and screw the atomizer onto the battery 4. You now have a silver atomizer attached to the battery right? good. Now you have your carts... 5. Pop a cart onto the atomizer. Vape until the vapor runs low. Once the vapor is low, remove the cart and either store for later use (IE using liquid to refill the cart) or throw it away in the trash. Open another packed with a cart inside and pop that one onto the atomizer and repeat. Easy.

You don't have to it's just the nickname we have Good luck in the hospital I hope whatever you need done works out. A friend of mine was just in the hospital for 3 weeks, he vaped the entire time. The nurse didn't know, but he's stealthy.

I've never actually timed it, but it's at least a good 4 hours.

I'd say 3 of the biggest companies in my town do not allow smoking. It gets worse, one of the companies (Scott's Lawn Care) will not insure you if you are a smoker. I don't have a source for that info but I'm sure you can do a Google on it. I was talking to one employee who worked for Scott's while shopping and he stated that you had to leave property to go smoke. He said that during his 15 he had to literally run across the street to have a smoke. Then run back. I said well at least they're making you exercise.

lol That would be one expensive bottle of liquid!
