  1. Ha ha yea I always feel a little weird using the VP unit in public, it's pretty weird looking and you WILL get questions. But to me it's worth it. I dropped it twice today on a hard surface. Guess what happened? Nothing, it still works fine. The 510 would have been screwed by now.
  2. There is going to be a new passthrough coming to the market soon, although I hear the Pure Smoker passthrough is awesome, there is another on the way which I'm sorry to say, I can't talk about yet. I should have it in my lap in about another 2 weeks. You can rest assured though I'll have that sucker on video as soon as I get permission and the production unit is ready. (Which should be very soon)
  3. No VT juice is definitely not Janty USA juice. But Parker and Janty USA are affiliates. Every so often Janty will ship out for Parker. If for some reason you get something other than what you ordered (although I doubt it) shoot me a PM and I'll get a bottle of Dulcis sent right out to you
  4. We usually call them by there model numbers to make it easier for people to learn each one. But outside of the videos we call them either Ecigs, or Vaporizers. As stated above PV's for short
  5. You know your not the only one to report this. There are quite a few people reporting burnt/metallic tastes not only on the 510 attys but the Joye penstyle attys as well. Specifically on the Janty Stick. Those atomizers are all made by a company named Joye. (Easy to figure out of course) I have a feeling there is something wrong with their batch. I don't know what though. I also ordered a few atomizer a while back and all 6 of them tasted so bad I wanted to throw up. It tasted kinda like the taste you get when you bite a fork, only in vapor forum. (That's the best way I can describe it) I ordered 2 atomizers from Arno to see if his where any different and I was back in business. His tasted fine right off the bat. I wished I could offer more, but I'm at a loss as to why this is happening.
  6. Thanks guys! I'm so sorry I took so long to respond today I've been up all night with Ashley at the hospital. All is good though! (1st Trimester Baby Scare) The other forum has some awesome information but damn everyone is so mad! I remember when I first signed up over there I bitched about a supplier not holding to what his website said, it was minor and the supplier ended up being one of the best around. That aside man did I get a verbal/text slap across the face for daring to question the all mighty ecig supplier (fan boys). I thought to myself, well then, I'll just make my own damn forum, I have the know how. Nobody took it seriously at first. 10 members? Bla they are small time. But we kept doing our thing, without Spamming the net trying to get people to sign up. I figured people would find there way here eventually. And look where we are now, not doing to bad and we have some of the most kick *** members! There is nothing worse than a noobie getting slammed for not using search. Although our search feature works well and it can get a little repetitive answering the same question over and over, the bottom line is, it's the same on all forums, heck since the beginning of Internet. Nobody wants to use search. It's just easier to be spoon fed. Well I gotta big spoon! Like they say, there are no stupid questions only stupid answers. I'm glad you guys enjoy it here. I think if we keep it a friendly environment it will stay that way. We also have a sweet warning system in place so anyone who wants to be an ***, will have a chance to change before we send them over to the ahole camp. Again thanks Guys! Oh and another little fact, some of you like to PM and Email telling me I spelled "Noobie" wrong all over the forum. ACTUALLY it's the gamer way of saying Noobie. The gamers pick it up, the English teachers don't
  7. Yup we have 2 of them, and they kick butt just as much as the VP1. It's pretty much the same thing but the battery life is better, maybe a little but more Vapor. Both Sean and Royce use the VP2 and they love it. I can honestly say I don't have anything bad to say about the VP units at all.
  8. So Vapor Talks 9 month Birthday is coming soon (14th of this month) and although we really shouldn't call it a birthday until the first year I thought I would share some facts about the forum anyway. I have to say the forum has grown very fast, although Vapor Talk is 9 months old we didn't actually go live until around mid February. So the forum is actually only about 8 months old. (Man have we grown in a short time) Only recently has the traffic to the site really started to spike, especially this month. I can't find the old screen shots I took of the first forum that was launched but I promise on Vapor Talks first birthday I'll upload the database and let everyone check out the old site. Have a play around in it. Here are some facts about Vapor Talk - The numbers may not be as big as ECF but for how short of a time we've been around with no PR and all word of mouth it's pretty impressive. 1. Did you know Vapor Talk was originally called E Smoke talk? You can still access our site via http://www.esmoketalk.com We changed the name to due to a possible copyright issue. I think the new name is better anyway. 2. There are "hidden" pages on Vapor Talk. They reference a fraternity. 3. To date members have viewed the site over a half a million times. 4. The average member spends about 10.10 minutes on the site at any given time. 5. 42.24% of you use Internet Explorer, 40.59% use Firefox, 8.33% use Opera, 4.50% use Safari and 3.84% use Google Chrome. A few also visit using their iPhones and Blackberries. 6. 40% of you access Vapor Talk from work. 7. 89.16% of you use Windows, 8.78% use Mac. The rest use everything from Linux to the Playstation 3 platform. Heck, someone with a Nintendo Wii likes to access the site as well. (Who uses a Wii to browse the internet?) 8. More members use a laptop to connect to the site than a desktop. 9. Someone who accesses the site quite often has a OC-3 - 155 megabits per second connection. It doesn't appear to be a business connection. Holy crap. 10. 96 countries/territories have visited Vapor Talk so far. The United States visits the most, followed by Canada then the UK. 11. Women spend longer time reading posts than men do. Men stop being so lazy. 12. Vapor Talk receives hundreds of emails a month. Emails ranging from annoying general ecig questions that can be answered faster on the forum, business inquires to thank you letters. (we love thank you letters) We also receive stalker emails, perverted emails and even a death threat. 13. Well over 10,000 emails a week are sent out by the server keeping members up to date on posts replies, private messages and new topics. 14. We have blocked over 4,000 spam bots. That's all I feel like posting for now. Thanks for being a part of Vapor Talk, we love you guys!
  9. Hmmm we have had good luck with the Janty Stick to be honest. I know Royce had one bad unit, but it turned out only to be a problem with the battery. So far we have had 4 that all work great. Sean has the pre production unit that is still going after months. Royce has had his for at least a few months now and mine is still working, although it leaks a little around the light because I dropped it pretty hard. Other than that it works great. Maybe a bad batch? I'm not sure what to say. You're not the first one to report this problem though, I think Vapor Vegas was having the same issue. (The button not working correctly)
  10. Sounds like...a total piece of crap to be honest. Now that you have a USB charger though you could always look into a power pack. Like this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9050073&st=usb+battery&type=product&id=1218012516869 Not sure how good that is or what the best power back is as I've never used one. Just an idea. I think something even better would be a inverter that goes into your cigarette lighter to charge your ecig battery. (ha, who knew)
  11. Good point, but the problem is that there are so many bills are passed it's hard for the governor to keep up. What some people fail to realize is that if he doesn't look at the bill, or doesn't know about the bill then it will go into law, automatically. He doesn't actually have to sign it into law! That's why it's important we drive to raise awareness. Although we're going to really have to step it up and send a crap ton of emails. AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.
  12. Q: What's the difference between a Mac and an Etch-A-Sketch? A: You don't have to shake the Mac to clear the screen. Q: What is the difference between a Mac User and a Terrorist? A: You can negotiate with a terrorist.
  13. As the Smoking man said, the VP is just a battery unit, the atomizer is just a Penstyle atomizer. So you would use a Penstyle Passthrough. Although the VP puts out so much vapor with so much battery life that there wouldn't be much point in getting a passthrough anyway. At least not one made from China. The exception to this would perhaps be the passthrough from Puresmoker, it runs at 6 volts I think and is made really well. One of these days I'll pick one up and see what it's all about
  14. This has been covered a few times on the forum do a quick search for airplane and you should get a few results. I've traveled trough quite a few checkpoints with no issues at all. I wouldn't advise using it in the airport, but I suppose it's always worth a shot. My Janty stick has been through checkpoints and xrays with no issues at all.
  15. Don't worry Kansas you will be vaping in no time
  16. It will be intersting to see what happens over the next few years. I hope Obama does lead our country in a positive direction. In all honesty I'm not against Obama, I'm just weary. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. Although I haven't read his new health reform, I honestly think he's trying to take things in a positive new direction, after all it can't be any worse than what we already have. The American medical system is beyond screwed up. But I suppose that's another topic. I don't want people think I hate Obama, because I don't, but I will never let my kids or myself or anyone else, if I can educate them enough, to ever serve anyone. I think it's important that kids, children and adults understand our government. It's good to see that others are concerned and aware. It shows that you all care about this country.
  17. Wow that was one hell of a post! *sigh* Welcome to our world. The atomizers...where should I start? The problem is not all atomizers are the same. Atomizers come from a number of manufactures in China, and although they all look the same, sometimes even identical. They are not. Some suppliers, especially new ones, will order what they thing is a good 801 atomizer, when in fact it sucks. Others that have been around a while usually sell better quality attys. The honest truth is that this is one of the biggest issues in the ecig world, hands down, is Quality Control. Some supplier just don't know what the heck they are doing, they just want the $$$. Let's start with the VP units, I will back that unit up with the name of my entire site. Hands down. It is what has made my Vaping life so much better. It's just simply amazing. If you don't get the same feeling, then something is wrong with the unit. Who knows what. The Vapr51 and the VP1 unit should be the same thing. Maybe your batteries where just bad, to be honest I can't say. But I hope the new one works well. One thing I will say is that the new chargers are a little while, sometimes you have to move the battery a bit to make sure it get's a good connection. If the light turns green right away, the battery is in the wrong way. If it changes from green then to red after a few seconds, then it's fully charged. If you know that's not the case, then you have a dud battery. Which I have never experienced from Jeso and we now have 3 of his units. Actually make that 4. As for atomizers, well it just depends. Arno sells 2 types. The atomizer that I got from him are black with a gold band around the bottom. They are 4 hole and work amazing. He also has some DSE atomizers (remember DSE and RN atomizers are different) that he sent me, they may also have been 4 hole I can't remember but they where all black. And they sucked. They where high bridge attys and I hated them. The vapor production sucked. I called Arno and spoke with him and stated he should get the short bridge atty in stock ASAP. Which is doing as we all speak, he should have them in by the end of this week. I hope he keeps those attys coming. The thing is, suppliers sometimes change their source for attys, and they don't say anything. They look the same to the untrained eye, but they are not. And to be honest it's ****ed up. For whatever reason the relationship may have gone sour with the company they where ordering from, or someone offered the "same" attys for cheaper. So now they selling what you think is the same atomizer but is not. on the flip side many suppliers have experienced companies in China changing the atomizer design for no apparent reason. China doesn't like to take stuff back EVEN if it was their fault. Now the supplier is stuck with a few thousands atomizers. That suck. So what can we do about it? ***** ***** ***** and hope that the good suppliers will stay honest with us. I trust Arno, and I think he's on the right track. I also trust Jeso and think given time he will probably find the ultimate bad *** atomizer. I tell you one thing though, if this issue keeps up I'll start carrying atomizers in the store. There is nothing worse than pay 10 bucks for an atomizer that works like crap. I've been there and I feel your pain.
  18. Yup the 801 atomizer is hand down the best, but ONLY on the right custom modification. New member seem to get confused when they hear us talking about the 801 thinking we are using the standard Penstyle battery. That model will work well, but NOTHING compared to how it will work on a custom battery mod. It's a little but like Turbo Charging your atomizer if you ask me.
  19. Well if your using the 801 battery they are a little flaky especially if your dripping in them. They where not designed to be dripped in. Here are the office we all use 801 attys but we use them on a custom battery unit called the VP1 (Sean uses the VP2) It sealed so no juice can get inside, it also uses a manual switch. (The manual switch has to be added because when the battery is sealed there is no way for an air sensor so instead you use a button) Manual batteries are really the only way to go. http://www.vaprlife.com it's the only thing we use.
  20. There is no way an atty would last a year. Usually they will last about 2-3 months at most. I no longer clean my atty's I just purchase new ones. (Once a month normally)
  21. There is no official date as of yet. It's really down to California at the moment. The SB400 law is putting some things on hold. California isn't playing nice. But rest assured when our ducks start to line up you guys will be the first to know.
  22. That is very cool and feels good! I get questions all the time, especially when people recognize Sean and I from the videos (which is a little weird) then it's all over. I know I'm not going anywhere until their questions are answered. I just want to get some milk damn it!
  23. Post some pictures of the battery and the atomizer and I can tell you what it is.
  24. Once the forum grows larger I plan to create an area which lists Vape Friendly Locations. All will be arranged by State. Right now there just isn't enough members to fill up a section like that on the forum.
