Exclusive Vp Passthrough Preview!
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
It will be around $50-60. Around the same price that Puresmoker sells their passthrough for. That seems a little steep but this thing isn't going to crap out like the PT's from China. -
Just for kicks I'll turn on live video this morning for a bit Give me like 5 minutes to set everything up
-
We only do that every so often. We will either do it on a whim or schedule a show. If we schedule a show we will mass email everyone 30 hours before the show

Exclusive Vp Passthrough Preview!
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
It works with all the popular atomizers. You just have to make sure (if you don't already have it) you get the adapter. It costs 12 bucks. Jeso was one of the first to do this. He didn't think it made much sense to have everyone purchase a different passthrough for each model. Honest guy I have to say. -
That's great! Yup I hear this time and time again. Smokers are always skeptical because nothing really worked for us way back when. Then they try the ecig and think holy crap, this thing really does work! Keep it up, you'll be smoke free in no time. Then will come the day when someone asks "hey can I bum a smoke off of you?" and you can proudly say "sorry I don't smoke" It's even better if your using your ecig because they look at you as if your crazy.

Looks a bit like what I have behind me in my VP2 video. Great idea

Why Citric Acid, And Why Only Sometimes?
Christopher replied to fatalis's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
I hope you appreciate the answers especially because we're getting into the realm of "juice secrets" if you will First let's talk about citric acid itself. Citric acid is a weak organic acid, and it is a natural preservative and is also used to add an acidic, or sour, taste to foods and soft drinks. Citric acid exists in greater than trace amounts in a variety of fruits and vegetables, most notably citrus fruits. Lemons and limes have particularly high concentrations of the acid. These values vary depending on the cultivator and the circumstances in which the fruit was grown. So here is the deal. Nicotine by it's very nature smells. That's right it doesn't have a great odor. As you might guess, when it's added to distilled water and glycerine (which are virtually without flavor or odor), the resulting mixture smells pretty bad and, hence, tasted pretty bad. Most E-Liquid almost invariably included some form of acid (often, citric or acetic). Some suppliers choose citric acid as a better choice. By the way the PH level in your mouth is around 7-7.2 so by bringing the ph down to that level, significantly reduced the nicotine odor and taste but yet has no major effect on the hit and adds no new flavor. Another thing to note is that prolonged room temperature storage of e-liquid without any added acid also decreases or, more accurately, transforms the odor and flavor. Citric Acid helps to prevent this. Hope that answers your question (You can always email juice suppliers directly from answers, for example Adam at Vermont Vapor was very open to speak about why he uses citric acid) Rest assured I doubt this is something you have worry about. Isn't it funny how health conscious we all become after we quite smoking? -

Why Citric Acid, And Why Only Sometimes?
Christopher replied to fatalis's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
I think when fatalis was asking this, she was referring to Vermont Vapor. They state on their main page Citric Acid is used. I've emailed them to get a little more information as to why they have this in their liquid. Once I hear back I'll post back with more information and get this whole deal settled ok? -
I agree the VP with an 801 is the best. Great taste, vape isn't to hot and lots of vapor. Sounds like your already on your way to becoming an ecig expert!
-
Yes they are smart batteries. Well at least as smart as they're going to come from China anyway. You can leave the battery on overnight. Once the light turns green the battery will stop charging

Hey! Welcome to VTF 30% give me a break, what a joke! If you wish to post a review your more than welcome. BUT just wait until your post count reaches 5, then do it in the written review area which can be found on the home page. Again welcome to the forums
-
To be honest there isn't much you can really do. Every so often you just get an atomizer that doesn't want to play nice. If it was like that from the moment you got it in the mail, you may want to ask for a replacement.
-
Welcome to VTF! Don't worry about the typos, most of the members know I'm the king of typos. In fact if so many of them didn't know me from the videos, they'd think I was from another country my typos can get so bad! That's what you get for trying to answer hundreds of posts within an hours time. Again welcome to the forums!

It was actually 801 atomizers that I tried to clean, which came it just as bad. Either way a few more tests need to be done to make sure this actually does or does not work. With all the Vapor Talk Store stuff going on in the background I just have not had time to really mess with it much -Chris

To be honest I'm not sure if lemon juice would work, but I'm sure it's worth a try. (at your own risk of course) -

I used have a review out in the next week or so then you guys can really get a good look at it on video. I can't wait till the final unit arrives here in the mail! -
I only used cold water. Perhaps I'll give hot water a try and see how it works out

Another reason to stick around Vapor Talk! The VP Passthrough Exclusive So the talk of the town as pretty much been the VP units. I'm almost thinking about changing Vapor Talk to VP Talk. After many emails asking me about it I talked with Jeso today for a bit and he has graciously allowed me to post pictures of the VP Passthrough. (VP-PT) So here it is! Here is some information about the PT The unit is anodized black LED lights on the top and the very unique opaque design with an LED in the middle. (This thing really looks cool) colors offered in Blue and Green The passthrough delivers 5 volts. Most people are unaware that there is a battery inside the passthroughs from China which brings the voltage down to 3.7 Each unit will contain a fuse inside so in the very unlikely event that your atomizer shorts out, your expensive computer is protected. (A rare an important feature) Resettable fuse trips @ 2.2 amps Will turn back on after the short (atomizer) is removed All VP passthroughs will come with a stand that hold not only the passthrough itself but a bottle of juice as well and a adapter . This way you don't have to worry about juice leaking all over your nice desk. Pictures of the stand will be posted later. If your computer doesn't have USB 2.0 or you don't happen to be around a computer, the passthrough comes with a wall adapter that allows you to plug the USB passthrough into any standard outlet (specially made for the passthrough don't try using M401 chargers!!)USB power pack rated @ 5 volts @ amps Nice sized cable. When I say nice sized I mean it isn't the size of a rope. This custom made cable created by Jeso will still deliver the same amount of power. This was a biggy for me, I don't need a jumbo cable on my desk. With the VP adapter the same passthrough will work with the 801, 901 and 510 adapter, M201, and cartomizers! What atomizer you use is up to you. (If you already have an adapter that you use on your VP unit currently it will work on the passthrough as well) And of course, it's American Made Here are some pictures enjoy...

Wow that does suck! That's another reason why I prefer the Joye unit has a small unit. It's one of the few models with no cut off time. Another reason to get a custom battery unit!
-
That is correct you can boil them in water. Although I just changed them out every month or so. (Depending on how well the atomizer works) So when do you clean the atomizer? That's up to you. If you notice it's performing weak or tastes "funny" it may be time to clean your atty. You have to remember that some members on the board use atty's for months before they clean them. I look at it this way, when the manufactures first created ecigs they planned for them to be quit products, not long term products. An atomizer was not designed to be used for a very long period of time. Your going to get build up on the atty over time. So I just switch them out every month. The 510 however seems to last forever. I've had 510 attys last 2 months without ever tasting weird. At the end of the day only you know when it's time to change. And when it's time to change you WILL know (I could sit here and try to describe a flat soda to someone, but most people will know when the soda just isn't good anymore, same goes for an atty )
-
I wouldn't use ANYTHING other than water to be honest. I mean after all we are vaping these things, why take the change that something will be left behind. Just my 2 cents
-
You would know the sound I was talking about, I think the atomizer is dead. Talk to the supplier that you purchased the atomizer from and have them replace it
-
The first person to have protected batteries for custom units was Vaprlife. You have to have them special ordered from China. I hear there are a few sites that have them but they are very hard to find. You can have the created here in the states but there is an MOQ and it's very expensive. Talk to Jeso from http://www.vaprlife.com he has them in stock.

The VP3 isn't going to be out for a few weeks, but the passthrough is very close to completion. (Which is a 5 volt unit) I just saw some new pictures of it today. It's going to be baaaadddd!!!!
