Have Vp1 Why Do I Need Vp2 Sell Me
Christopher replied to warthog's topic in General Vaping Discussion
There really is no difference other than it feels a bit more comfortable in your hands because it's larger and the thing gets about 8+ hours of battery life. In all honesty I would wait for the VP passthrough to come out in 2 weeks -
Uh oh you discovered....*dun dun dun* The hole. Yes it's ok to cover the hole, BUT do it very sparingly. That hole is there to not only draw in air to make it easier to suck on, but to keep the atomizer cool. If you go crazy with the hole you'll burn up you atomizer. If it starts to feel hot, give it a little rest

First I would like to give a very big Thank You, the donations that came in today really shows how cool Vapor Talk Members are! We really do have the best forum on the net I thought I would update where some of the money is going. 1. Some of the donations will be set aside for a future server. One of course that will be larger and able to withstand the traffic as the forum grows. (Which it is doing, very fast) 2. NEW CHAT SYSTEM! One major issues many online forums have is their chat feature. It's why so many forums no longer run chat rooms or areas. However I personally love the Chat Box don't you? So we are working on implementing a much better, smoother and real time chat area. It will be installed on the forums but hosted via a second server. (Nice) Thus the members can chat their hearts out without having to worry about bogging down the forum server. (Like seen on some...other forums) Although it's not a huge issue now, it will be as the forum grows. Currently we used a modified shout box as a chat room which is why there is such a long delay when chatting. The new chat room funded by Vapor Talk Member donations will not only be realtime but will have a much smoother interface. There will also be the option for private chat, so should you want to move away from the public eye, that option will be availble. Another feature that I've been asked OFTEN is for the chatroom to have sound. The new chat room will have sound. Thus you don't have to always watch the screen waiting for someone to chat. You can hear it. Maybe now you'll get something done at work? I'll keep everyone updated as I work on the chat project behind the scenes. Again a big Thank You! -Chris

Joye Atomizers Metallic Taste...
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
OKKKKkkkkk So after talking around a little bit I got a hold of our old friend Arno from Awesome Vapor. (Arno kicks ***) Putting a cart into the atomizers takes a way the weird taste. It will take a minute or two to get the weird taste out but then it's gone. He stated that although he hasn't ran into the issue himself or had any reports, he knows the Joye attys like to have carts, they get a little harsh with no carts. So I went into my empty cart drawer, filled one up with some juice (over fill actually) popped it onto the atomizer and puffed for a little while, then added a but more juice and what do you know, no weird taste now. I guess the atomizers from Joye are like Hummers, high gas mileage. Can you guys give it a try and see how it works out for you? -
Yes for the most part they are all the same thing. But one is from China one is from the states. The Janty Stick as of late has been having some pretty crappy success rates. They have been having return issues, broken buttons etc. I can tell you off the bat I can get more Vapor from my VP unit than my Janty Stick. Why? Who knows. Perhaps the strong battery, the higher mah, better connection I'm not a tech, but I've made it my job to try lots of units. I don't benefit from telling members to purchase the unit. Although the unit creates lots of vapor the main reason is just having something that doesn't crap out after a week. Hence the reason I'm such a big fan. Another thing that is a plus is the protected batteries the unit had. Many members asked for this and Vaprlife came through.

Different Juice For Different E-Cigs?
Christopher replied to USAFSGT's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
That is a good point and it's been thought up already. Making the flavor strong for the 510 works much better. The problem is, to order juice in each flavor and each strength AND each model would bring cost around what most people pay for their homes. -
Joye Atomizers Metallic Taste...
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
What's really weird and doesn't make any sense at all, is that the atomizers than come in the starter kit seem to be fine. It's just the spare atomizers that are having issues. Perhaps they have a stock pile of starter kits and there is something different about the build on the new atomizers. Who knows? I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had this issue. I thought I was going nuts. @ Hawk, your experience is almost spot on to mine. I'll flood the atty to keep the bad taste down. -
Well you don't HAVE to close the air holes. But if you have one of the models that came with a screwdriver then you can adjust the airflow. If you didn't get a screwdriver you don't have a model that can adjust the air. You can however ask Jeso nicley if he will send you a little screw and screwdriver to add the air flow system in. The air flow is easy to change. If you look at the top of the unit where the atomizer goes, there is a little hole that looks like it goes into the battery chamber. (It doesn't) There is a tiny little screw there that can be adjusted. (If you have the model with the screw)

Joye Atomizers Metallic Taste...
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I suppose perhaps after a while it will go away, but to me it shouldn't be there in the first place you know? The burn method seemed to help quite a bit, but the taste is still there. I'll try and puff the taste out a little later but for now it's on to the next atomizer. -
Joye Atomizers Metallic Taste...
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Honestly I was just throwing them away until I got one that worked. Which is driving me nuts because I'm literally throwing money away. I just did a dry burn on the atomizer and the weird taste seems to have gone, but I'm not getting much flavor from the vapor. I'll keep vaping it and see what happens. -
Why Citric Acid, And Why Only Sometimes?
Christopher replied to fatalis's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
Well depending on how you created your liquid and what you used it would end up tasting strange, smelling strange and spoiling fast. Again every liquid is different. If you do create your own liquid, please make sure you do so at your own risk. -
Joye Atomizers Metallic Taste...
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Well I know it's not the VT juice. The reason why is because the same thing happens with Liquid Express Juice, Arno's Juice, Dietsmokes Juice, Johnson Creek AND Electro Nic Stix Juice. Before I came home tonight I stopped by a friends house an picked up some DSE atomizers. Both are brand new, I put some VT juice in and no problem. Keep in mind that I've been have the metallic taste happen almost instantly after I use a Joye atomizer (with the exception of a few which seam to take a week or so for some reason) I'm going to dry burn an atomizer and see if that helps. -
So as you guys know I know I usually change my atomizers out every month. Well every month has become every 2 weeks and every 2 weeks has become right out of the box. (Seriously brand new atomizers right out of the pack taste horrible) Let me explain. For some time now I've complained about a metallic taste in my atomizers. This usually doesn't happen right away, but when that taste creeps up, it's REALLLY bad. I mean I can't describe how bad it tastes. So I've tried just about everything, water, boiling, vinegar and an Ultra Sonic cleaner. All of my atomizers taste metallic. It's ridiculous. I've purchased and received close to 20+ atomizer this month. So I finally thought to myself, this never used to be an issue before. Yea sure you would get the burnt taste every so often from the fibers touching the atomizer, but I don't use carts. So I thought, "every single atomizer from China is bad?" I don't think so. Then I thought well MAYBE it's my juice god forbid. So I started using juice from other suppliers straight. SAME thing. Ok maybe it's China's juice? So then I moved over to some JC juice that I had laying around. Same damn thing. (Using a new atomizer each time by the way) Then of course I realized... Joye Yup, every single atomizer that I own, 510 and Penstyle atomizer is from Joye. I still stand on my statement that they create TONS of vapor. They really do. BUT something is wrong with the Joye atomizers. I brought this up to a few suppliers, some thought I was crazy others where starting to become aware. This isn't an issue with suppliers themselves (I've ordered Joye atty's from a few suppliers to see if it was just the supplier or the manufacture) It's the manufacture they are all the same. So I think it's time I start ordering from some other suppliers and see what else is out there. Perhaps some RN's or DSE's. This could take a while to find the right atty again. I suppose my question to the members is, has anyone else noticed a metallic taste as of recent? Specifically NEW 510 atomizers and 801 atomizers from Joye? Help me out guys we need to get to the bottom of this mess.

In all honesty I've left batteries in their chargers for a long time. I just don't want someone else doing the same thing, then come back to the forums and stating "vapor talk helped burn down my house"

Vp2 With 801 Low Bridge Aromizer - Chris's Recommendation
Christopher replied to VapnRealtor's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
Your very welcome! Glad the atty is working out -
Many people store their juice in the fridge and seem to have good luck with it. I either sell my juice or vape my juice fast enough to the point that it doesn't need to be placed in any type of refrigeration. Keeping the liquid in a cool dark place should be just fine. (And out of reach of children of course) But placing it in the refrigerator doesn't seem to cause any ill effects.

When I days I mean like 5+. I'm sure the batteries would be fine but I don't see why you would need them in there for that long
-
Yup it can get pretty cool. We normally have about 30 members watching but only about 10 people in chat so it's not to bad. Today I opened up the video chat for about an hour this morning. I also started picking up the Vapor Talk Hotline so people could call in. I don't think we will have a dual video with Sean and I for a little while as Sean just started his new job. Once he gets some free time I'm sure he'll jump on the forums

Yes from the United Kingdom. But you would think I was from a none English speaking country with some of the posts I've created with Typos

I Need To Clean My Janty Stick Atty ....help?
Christopher replied to EasyE's topic in General Vaping Discussion
That's the first time I've ever heard anyone put the atomizers in the oven. Interesting idea! It doesn't seem to make anything peel or fall apart?
