Holy crap. The irony behind this is just short of amazing. For those of you who don't know Ruyan created the electronic cigarette and holds most of the patents. More here: http://www.quamnet.com/newscontent.action?articleId=1262167

Don't Forget To Clean Your Chargers
Christopher replied to TheGreen's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Yup this is pretty important. I clean my charger once a month, especially on the 510 units. -
I should have a video review done in the next week or so Lots of stuff going on in the store so time is a little short! If anything I'll have Sean create a video and send it over

Can I Use Any E-Cig Pack To Hold Other Brands Of E-Cigs?
Christopher replied to nemesis's topic in New Vapers Forum
First off I wouldn't really go with Blu to be honest. You would be better off getting a 510 and a PPC to go with it. You can get the 510 here: http://www.electronicstix.com/Starter-Kits_c2.htm And the PPC here: http://www.electronicstix.com/Accessories_c3.htm (They have them in black and silver) -
Do you just copy and paste that message every 2 months?

That is normal. The atomizer you are using is created by Joye. It has 4 large air holes which you can see if you turn the atomizer upside down. Another reason I like to use this atomizer.

The Janty "ego" Video Preview
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I'm sure you could vape and hook it up to the computer, but it wouldn't be a truth passthrough. It would work the same way the Janty Stick does, just keeping the battery charged enough not to die -
Johnson Creek Weighs In
Christopher replied to StringDancer's topic in Vaping Legislation & Regulation News
@lilk, just so you know we went on an SB400 hate spree and the Vapor Talk army sent emails out by the masses. SB400 has since been vetoed -
Filler is supposed to be attached, however sometimes the manufacture will skip the processes to save a bit of money. This is fairly normal.

Vapor Talk Coming To Your Phone
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Well I use the G1 to access the site and although it work wells (my phone has a large screen) it's still a pain. It's hard to navigate around the site. Since using the new skin though, I can answer posts much like I do at home. I have a feeling Vapor Talk Mobile will get more popular over time. -
So I'm always working on the latest greatest way to keep Vapor Talk just that much cooler than everyone else Once thing I noticed is just how many people access the site from their cell phones. Man it must be a pain to read the forums on your phone! Well I've been testing a mobile version of the site over the past few weeks and it's almost ready. Yup, not only can you waste time at home, but you can do it on the go as well! More server bandwidth here we come! In a few more days I'll launch the mobile version of the site. You can post, preview read and do almost all the same things you can do now, but on your cell phone. In fact the skin should work on PDA's as well as many other mobile platforms. Many of your donations helped make this a possibility so thank you. I'll post an announcement when the mobile site is ready. Just another reason to stick with Vapor Talk Thanks Guys!

Schwarzenegger, Starting To Really Like Him
Christopher replied to Christopher's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
For those of you who haven't figured it out, look to the left of the message. Look at every first letter on the left it spells out F-U-C.... you get the picture -
So far this is turning into a fantastic topic and I'm going to pin this thread. @Kmel there is absolutely zero scientific proof that nicotine alone causes cancer. None. I've looked. In fact the benefits seem to be of positive nature rather than negative. That said however California requires that stupid statement and although the state as not specifically contacted us about the use of nicotine in our liquid, it was suggest that we place the warning and hope the users are smart enough to see past the warning. I believe the warning was tied in to the use of traditional tobacco products used in apartments and business. I believe it has become outdated as it refers to cigarette use and not the use of nicotine/ecigs. However the way the law is written is applies to anything containing nicotine. I'm on the fence about removing the statement. Especially in the VT store. It's more than counterproductive. If Vapor Talk ever builds enough capital I've actually thought about going up against the state about it. Who wants to open Pandoras box with me?

Joye510 Battery/charger Problem?
Christopher replied to variven's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
Without having the unit in front of me it's hard to tell if it's the batteries or the charger, but I'm leaning more towards the charger. If you purchased from a US supplier they should warranty the items. Shoot them an email and get it replaced. -
Actually not really. The reason why is because they double stack the batteries to create 6 volts. When you double stack batteries say in a flash light for example the discharge is very low, but when using an atomizer it's quite a bit higher. What's happened, is one of those batteries discharged much faster than it was designed to. You say it's 1 in a million, actually it's not. There are a few modders that have had this happen to their customers but they brush it under the rug hoping nobody will say anything. Lucky for them the fan boy base is high enough that people will keep it quite. That women said something, which is great because it needs to be known. Some of these modders have no idea what the heck they are doing. They see $$$ in the ecig world, create something and just start whoring it out. Without much safety in mind. There is reason many of these people sell via PM messages. They do this crap out of their basement with minimal liability.
-
Hence the reason I only push the VP units on the site. 1. They have protected batteries. Currently the only mod WITH protected batteries. 2. Those pretty little holes on the unit are not just there for the lights. If your battery does goes boom for whatever reason, say a protected battery failure (hope for the best prepare for the worst as they say) those holes will allow for the release of pressure. 3. The bottom cap on the unit is deigned to blow off as well in case of pressure. Hence the reason it only catches a few threads. Jeso worked in the Aero Space Industry for many years which is why his products are not just hollowed out metal tubes. Evapers is more than correct when he states some of these customs mods are just pipe bombs waiting to pop in someones face.
-
Well I can tell you that the only difference between the two is battery life and size. I'll let other members chime in on what they think about the units as I think I've already said enough on the forum

Hey your very welcome! I feel I'm almost on the forums 24 hours a days (it's 5am in sunny California) Actually safety is a big thing for me and one of the main reasons it's taking FOREVER to get the store up and going. Other than testing the market I wanted to make sure I could get the safest version of the product possible. We of course managed to get push to turn bottles rather than "turn and crack" which is a joke. We even added a nice warning message on the bottle. Something many supplier did not want to do. I thought, well it's important. People will understand and accept the risks. No point in lying about it. You may have noticed that one of the only custom mods I really suggest on the forums is the VP units. Many never really stopped to wonder why, other than the obvious pretty lights and overall quality of the build, is the safety features it provides. For example for those of you that own the VP units did you know that the holes around the lights are actually there in case the battery explodes? Yup. It very unlikely that this would happen because the batteries are protect (currently the ONLY custom mod with protected batteries) so if the battery does go boom, those holes are vents to allow the pressure to release. Very cool. The button cap is also designed to blow off as well. This will leave you a little startled but safe. Most modders think ahh no big deal, but actually someone just had a custom unit explode on them yesterday. They are ok, but I'm sure their face has had better days I pocked fun at some people in my video for worrying about the batteries but that's only because I knew of the safety features in the unit. In fact I spent almost 2 hours talking to Jeso yesterday about safety features and other things that can be done to make it EVEN safer. He's a smart and honest guy. Thanks for the positive comments I really do have the members best interests at heart, especially after posts like the one above.
