I agree honestly I wouldn't go with either of the units you narrowed down. I would go with the eGo but it's out of stock. So your next bet would probably be the VP2 if you don't mind the size.

For the most part Jeso breaks it down pretty well for everyone. But yes if you use a 510 atomizer the battery life will be shorter. This is because the resistance on the 510 atomizer is much lower than say a Penstyle atomizer (302,304,801 etc) it heats up much faster and uses more power. Either way on a VP2 for example your still going to get well over 4 hours using a 510 atomziers. I usually managed to push around 5 sometimes even 6 depending on how I was vaping.

The reason for this is because the center pole is being pushed to far down. I'm willing to guess that if you screwed the adapter on a little tighter with an atomizer attached the light would turn off again. If this happens again you will notice a little hole on the side of the 801 fitting. Look inside that hole, you will see another hole that leads inside the center pole. Use a paper clip and GENTLY lift the center pole until it's flush with the 801 fitting. If you still run into issues then that is covered under warranty and can be repaired quickly

Yup so true. And because it's so new taking the rude approach isn't the best way, knowledge and patience is what will help this product become accepted. If it's related to smoking it's automatically going to have a negative view.

Hey Pam! When taking a drag off the ecig make sure you take nice long slow drags not short drags like a cigarette. This is something you will learn to improve over time When the vapor runs low and it's the battery, it will start to blink letting you know it's time to charge. If your not getting enough throat hit it could because the MG isn't high enough for you, it could also mean your not taking in enough vapor, try taking long slow draws and see how that helps

The penstyle atomizer is probably hands down the best atomizer on the market ESPECIALLY for custom mods. The problem is EVERYONE calls them DSE 801's. In fact it's become a generic term. So some suppliers may state "DSE 801" when they're actually selling RN4072 for example. I've tried tons of Penstyle atomizers and I can say hands down the Joye 302 atomizers are the best. Created by the same company that creates the Joye 510 obviously, they work amazing and last a very long time.

At the moment totally wicked has exclusive right to the 5 battery charger. I hear it works ok. Some report a buzzing noise from it other say it works great. Perosnally I've never used one.

Most of the cartomizers come from the same company. Are you sure it was fiber glass inside the cartomizer? I've seen the inside of a cartomizer and I can tell you it wasn't fiber glass.

Also, here is an interesting link that shows different drop of rates and how they can change dramatically depending on the battery used.
