Sounds like there could be an issue with the center poll. I'm not sure if you purchased the spade from VT or DS but I would send in a ticket so the unit can be sent out for repair.

Oh I agree with you 100%, but these are actually American Suppliers...Meaning, suppliers in the states are selling SLB510s as Joye 510's and some of them know they're not genuine. If they can't tell the difference or claim ignorance I feel they shouldn't be supplier.
-
SLB is a company called Silbao they create an imitation version of the 510. You can usually tell if it's a none genuine atomizer by looking at the bottom of the "510" atomizer, if it has a washer inside the atomizer then it's not a genuine Joye 510 product. I will be working on a guide soon so that members can tell the difference between a knock off 510 and a true Joye 510. This link may help, the following shows Janty Products next to the SLB models: http://www.jantyworld.com/news/beware-of-copies.html The reason why your mega batteries probably work without issue is because currently, there are no knock off versions of the mega battery... yet. So your mega batteries are probably legitimate Joye products, however the small batteries may be SLB. In SLB's defense some people like the SLB atomizers, but regardless, suppliers should mark them as SLB510's and NOT Joye510. It's false advertising and not very ethical.

It's unfortunate but keeping electronic cigarette prices low also means cheaper products. It's always a good idea to give a back up of everything in the event that anything ever decides to die out.
-
Never heard of them, looks like Bauway's version of the 510. I have not heard any reviews about their quality. To be honest genuine Joye 510 kits don't cost much I'd still with what you know works best.

That is correct, with cartomizers you cannot remove the filler. You can only refill them about 2-3 times.
-
That's because the Chinese passthroughs use unprotected batteries. The protected batteries (used in The Spade) are a tad larger.
-
We would love nothing more than to make the spade are 5 volt unit but it just isn't physically possible. Like SmokinHammer said you need much larger batteries to handle the power. The spade would need to be much much larger. But I do agree the spade is a slick looking device thus the reason we will offer The Joker in all black

oh I'm very sure it's paid adversing. Good thing we have forums!

Let me clear something up here before rumors start. LifePO 4 batteries are not protected because they are very stable. They don't explode under correct use. In this case although the user thinks he was using Lifepo4's he was probably using a CR2 unprotected batteries marked as a Lifepo4. Why? Because we've received batteries from China marked as Lifepo 4's and guess what? They where CR2's unprotected. Some of these modders don't check before sending the units out. If your creating a custom mod you better damn well know what your doing. Oh but wait it gets better we've actually had manufactures in china offer to maker CR2's marked LifePO batteries at no extra cost, in other words flat out lie at the expense and safety of the consumer. When you purchase batteries from a vendor in hopes of saving a couple of bucks you better hope they're trust worthy. With the amount of money some of us spent on cigarettes it's amazing just how cheap some people can be. I personally only use Tenergy Batteries in my 5 volt unit. (American Company) There QC is extremely high and I wouldn't recommend anyone use anything else. Another important thing to keep in mind is the user. People often mix and match rechargeable batteries, this can be VERY VERY dangerous. You risk one battery discharging faster than the other, then BOOM! So please, purchase from trusted companies, spend the extra dollar, and if you have "LifePO 4" batteries that are ink sprayed, toss them out and get yourself some Tenergy batteries. Make sure your using a Tenergy charger as well, this is also important. Vapor Talk has been warning about this for months, it shouldn't have taken someone to blow half there face for users to finally get it. Be safe and enjoy your 5 volt device! Just be smart!

The FDA studies where questionable at best. They claimed to have found 1 chemical (diethylene glycol) however it was in such extremely low quantities (we're talk micro grams here) that it's unlikely it would cause any effect on your body. With that said, even it if did indeed cause issues, common sense say one is better than 4,000 chemicals found in traditional tobacco. It's also important to keep in mind that this was found ONLY in Smoke Everywhere's cartridges, it was not found in NJOY or any other supplier for that matter. The press however has had a field day with this one small test result.

I was sent this video and thought I would share it with you. (It's a little intense so be warned) The siren you can hear is what is called the "I.D.F" alarm (In-direct fire). This is activated when the advanced warning radar on the base picks up in-coming rocket/mortar fire from the militia/insurgents attacking the Contingency operating base on the west of Al-Basrah, southern Iraq. The red tracers you see in the night sky are ammunition rounds from what is called the "Phalanx" guns which are mounted all over the C.O.B. My brother was out there in 2008 and experienced this. To all our troops currently in Afghanistan, I'm sure we can all agree, kick some *** and stay safe. (Language warning) Another video which shows what some of our troops endure out in the field

I'll write a check right now to anyone that finds a 500mah 3.6V AAA batteries. They simply do not exist. Trust me, if they did we'd use them in the spade. We have tested Ultrafire and Surefire they are 360mah. Any supplier that sells 500mah 10440 batteries is either A. Ling about it B. Doesn't realize it's a miss print. The batteries would be larger. (and that doesn't include the extra length from the protect circuit added) Oh and by the way we have them in stock

There is currently no other supplier other than Dietsmokes.com and Janty that carry the eGo. Yet. There are some other suppliers planning to carry various versions of the Ego but not until around March.

Sent you a PM You will have to send your PT in for repair as covered under the warranty.

I don't think these are genuine Joye 510's. I would send an email and ask. Last I checked Joye does not create silver banded Joye 510's.

Although I usually use the 510 I think the 302 penstyle atomizer works better -

Just make sure that of course there is indeed fiber inside of the cartridge. Otherwise you'll fill the cart and it will leak all over the place. Completely blank carts (meaning no wicking at all) are used for direct dripping.

When I fly I go into the bathroom and vape with no problem, BUT I'll blow the vapor into my shirt. That's usually good enough...well at least I haven't set anything off yet
-
Most "smoke alarms" are actually particle detectors. If there is a noticeable change in the air it will set the alarm off. So yes, vapor will set off a smoke alarm.
-
Because the electronic cigarette is such a new product they file it under "nicotine use" and you are subject to higher premiums.
