Vaping And The Visually Impaired
Phaseman66 replied to Phaseman66's topic in General Vaping Discussion
-UPDATE- Well, today I delivered to my friend her new Joye510 with a couple of sets of cartos. I'm waiting to hear back from her after a few days of use to see how she likes them and how the cartos especially are working out for her. I gave her some prefilled caramel machiatto cartos from Dietsmokes and two cartos filled with Vaportalk Tobacco and Dulcis in them. She seemed to enjoy the flavor and she was able to use the e-cig without any problems. I really hope that these will do the trick and replace analogs for her. In the meantime until I hear back from her, I asked her if it would be alright to let the folks at VaporTalk know who she is and with a huge smile, she said I could finally tell. (I've been bursting to tell you all for weeks now). This is no ordinary Lady. Her name is Virginia James and in the 1950's, she was one of the most famous if not THE most famous Las Vegas Showgirl. She danced at the Sands Hotel in the Copa Room and also opened the Follies Bergere at the Tropicana a few years later. This Wonderful Lady dated Frank Sinatra and stole many, MANY a man's heart during her incredible career. To have even met this woman was an honor. I'm including some links here for you all to look at and see and hear this wonderful gal and hear about her in her own words. I really also wanted to thank all the VaporTalkers again for stepping up and helping a smoker get past the analogs. You are all fantastic people. http://www.library.unlv.edu/oral_histories/addl_pages/virginia.html http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/1999/Oct-15-Fri-1999/news/12153867.html A picture of Virginia in costume: http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/1999/Oct-15-Fri-1999/photos/james.jpg http://articles.latimes.com/2009/mar/19/nation/na-folies-closing19 (Some of these articles are from a few years back, but she is just as vibrant now as she was back in the 50's.) -
Same issue here. LED will not light, but Joker still works and vapes just fine. LED came on just fine out of the box but doesn't work now. Hard part is, I don't want to let this thing go to send it in for repair.

Really great to have you with us and even better to hear yet ANOTHER success story with Vaping Vs. Analogs. FTJoe is on the money yet again with his pushing for backups. (I'm STILL adding backups to my arsenal). I can totally relate to trying everything out there just to see if there's a magical pv I don't yet have, or a technique that I need to try out to see if it's my personal 'sweet spot' of vaping. Another great thing about vaping is that it's constantly changing, upgrading and renewing. Awesome story! Keep on vaping!

Vaping And The Visually Impaired

Let me start this post by thanking everyone who offered to help/gave their advice. (I even had someone who wishes to remain nameless, offer me up pretty much everything in his personal stock! ) Special thanks also to Kitsune, who went above and beyond my call for help and offered to fill up cartos! You ALL ROCK!. I can't think of a better vaping community to belong to than this one. Quick update, I ran across this offer through Dietsmokes.com and think it may be JUST what I'm looking for. This lets HER decide if she would rather use a manual or automatic battery, still uses genuine Joye 510 parts, and should be quite servicable if something goes wrong with it. Plus, I can always upgrade her to an Ego battery if it proves the regular batts just don't cut it. I'll update how she likes it and how it's all working out for her once I give it to her. Thanks again VaporTalkers! -
Had to post it, being from Chicago, and since Las Vegas really doesn't have a pro ANYTHING. (that is, unless there's a SHOWGIRL League that they haven't told me about.) Best of luck to the Flyers too!

I was just flipping through my favorite reviewers twitter feed and noticed that he's got some scary stuff goin on. I'm sure some of you at VaporTalk have seen his vids or maybe gleaned some useful info from him. Nick's a great guy and I hope that everything works out alright. Maybe drop by his youtube page if you get a chance and let him know you're thinkin' about him.

Assault On The Us Constitution

Not only are they NOT taking away anyone's rights to bear arms, but there's NO way they COULD do that at this point in time. The gun manufacturers have been given a free pass to make as MANY guns as they can possibly make with zero liability for doing so. The black market would simply explode. The past has shown, there can be NO prohibition, on something that was legal at one time. IT simply won't work. It just become criminal and drives the price for that item up dramatically. Not to mention the obvious and sudden trouble they would have attempting to retrieve those banned weapons from their owners -
Very cool to see/hear this - Only bad thing is realizing that it was 30 YEARS AGO! Talk about making an old arcade rat feel older! I can remember when the sounds of pacman, donkey kong, asteroids and tempest used to fill the air together in a beautiful symphony of... BUT I DIGRESS! Good times.

Welcome to VaporTalk, and you're NOT alone. I had the charger from my first starter kit go bad, JUSSST as I was really getting into vaping and as a result, I had to use analogs for a short while. I would DEFINITELY follow the advice of FTJoe and get those backups, you'll be glad that you did. Good to have you with us, see you around the forums.

It's no wonder why the FDA doesn't want this to come to light. Think of all the prescriptions that vaping replaces.

That's awesome DDave! As long as it's HIM blowing rings and not the little bug! I know if I got a pristine car of that vintage, you'd have a hard time getting me to park it, unless I was outta juice

Looks like Njoy got on the cartomizer bandwagon. Notice also how they are measuring the nic levels -1.8% nicotine by volume? What's up with THAT? Anyone use one of these yet? I still use my Npro from time to time and wondered if they are good.

So I live in Las Vegas, this will be my 10th summer here and I'm wondering.. I came to Vegas from Chicago, where in the summer we would turn on an air conditioner to cool off but in Las Vegas, many people use what is called a 'swamp cooler' or 'evaporative cooler' as a more inexpensive way to cool their homes. I never knew these existed until I came to live in a desert state (they don't work well in high humidity) and was really pretty amazed at the job they can do when they are working right. Long story short - These things cool using hot, outside air forced through a pad of wet material, and in the process warm dry air is changed to cool moist air. Heat in the air is used to evaporate water. Now, I've already begun to notice when I'm out in the hot dry air that when I vape..I'm expelling a little cloud of air conditioning! It actually cools the air as the vapor dissipates. (or maybe it's my imagination?) I'm kinda hoping that someone here has a temperature sensing gun at home and might want to give it a try on a warm day (preferably LOW humidity) and see if I'm right or wrong. I used to use a temp gun like that when I built spraybooths for a living, but alas, it was a toy the BOSS owned so I didn't get to have much fun with it. I'm dying to know if it's just my imagination or there really is something to this.

I have an explanation. Hips. When a woman sits down to take care of business, if the roll is close to the commode her hips will brush the roll. If the end is on the outside of the roll when this happens, it will lower to the floor. If the end is against the wall side, when this happens, the end will go UP as her hip brushes against the roll and thus keeps the end off of the floor. This is not MY explanation, but one that was related to me by my wonderful wife whose hips were one of the MANY things that attracted me to her.

Fda Court Case - They Are Pushing And It's Working...
Phaseman66 replied to Christopher's topic in General Vape News
The FDA won’t approve of e-cigarettes yet because they think they may cause cancer. The weird thing is, real cigarettes are proven to cause cancer but are still legal. I think they may want to check on the alarming rate of BPA found in our canned foods (You know, the ones we're supposed to keep around for emergencies..oh yeah, and feed to our kids) Yet, I've heard NO warnings from them to my pregnant wife to avoid canned foods! TRY DOING YOUR JOB FOR ONCE FDA! They want E-cigs to be classified as a "new drug" so that they can line their pockets with the proceeds once 'approved' by the FDA. According to the Wikipedia entry of the Food and Drug Administration "New drugs receive extensive scrutiny before FDA approval in a process called a New Drug Application or NDA. New drugs are available only by prescription by default. A change to Over the Counter (OTC) status is a separate process and the drug must be approved through an NDA first. A drug that is approved is said to be "safe and effective when used as directed."" Seems there is MONEY to be made in this, and where there's MONEY, there's government intervention. -
Who Vapes With The Windows Down?
Phaseman66 replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
So...has anyone ever LIT the end of their pv? I did when I first started vaping. Got in the habit of carrying my lighter around and nearly lit my poor Njoy Npro.
