well, after using just the LR atty that came with the ego, i have to say that i really like them.. so had to order a few LR cartos spendy little habit though not nearly as bad as 9 bucks for a pack of smokes, even if you replace the cartos every 3 days, it still works out to two weeks of vaping for the same price (not including juice) but i still have close to 150ml of juice here for now... waiting for the new VT flavors

What are the drawbacks of them?

you are right! i totally forgot about that... I was using the LR one today... not sure which one i like actually, for some reason i think the regular atty produces more vapor but that may be my imagination my cartos shipped this morning so i should have them early next week, and drip tips came in today battery lasted all day with no issues Edit: my mistake, I was using the reg atty Not sure the difference though will have to experiment

The only advice I really have for the spade is to get some extra batteries and DON'T charge them backwards in the charger Great device though and really nice looking, but battery doesn't last quite as long as the ego But on the plus side, the batteries aren't proprietary pieces and just can be popped in I still love mine

Well just for that reason I have a backup 510 with charger that I leave at work Along with a bottle of juice and atty Been burned before. I had charged my spade battery backwards in the charger and killed it And noticed after I had gotten to work Though I turned around and decided to work from home that day :-) Glad I have that option most days

thanks for the tips! ordered some today... was finding this morning though that I was getting much better and consistent vapor while using a cart over just dripping thinking the cartos might end up being the best of both worlds, should know next week when they arrive. would be just great if there were local stores that sold supplies

had ordered it from puresmoker on monday afternoon when i had given up finding my spade.. of course right after i ordered it, my wife called to say she found it in one of the pockets of the suitcase. great device! shall test the battery life during a full day at work, but my guess is that a single battery will last me all day just fine. the spade actually lasted most of a work day for me as i am not a heavy user I am a sucker for new gadgets but i expect this to last me awhile figure my drip tips should arrive within the next couple of days

I am getting back into it.. I had gone back to smoking for a bit earlier this year work stress but i love my new ego, i had thought i lost my spade over labor day so this was a replacement that would be great if a lounge opened here, but i wish i knew there was one in spokane. i was just there a couple weeks ago to see my parents and go to the pig out.

VT tobacco is pretty much the only thing I use. Have tried a number of different ones but that is pretty much my goto juice

Will do Question though, what is the benefit of using a carto if you drip? (with a drip tip) Does it give you the benefit of dripping but still allow to vape when you can't drip?

Thanks! I actually was looking at both carts or cartos... I have never used a cartomizer so not sure of the vaping difference, or if the mega carts work with the ego and the cover

is there any company that sells steel (or even silver) carts? I drip mostly so would be using my drip tip, but a cart is easier while i am at work or in a mtg (or in the car) just would like a tip to match my shiny new ego when it comes in thanks D edit: i did find a site that had silver cartos but hadnt heard of them before clouds of vapor

yeah, the spade would be a good backup... i dont even see myself using the 510s much was thinking of a higher volt device also, but was unsure of the benefits

Thanks! I ended up getting a silver ego for now. BUT. My wife found my spade in the suitcase in one of the pockets. Oh well now I have both Did also order a t-tip that should make dripping a bit easier

thanks yeah it is sad, was a great device... but it still may turn up i was leaning towards the ego... with a stainless t-tip now to decide between a silver or black model

good morning i havent been around the forums in awhile as my wife and i slipped back to smoking... but have been back on the juice now for a good two weeks.. my dilemma though is that over labor day i lost my spade while traveling, i am currently using my backup 510 but am looking for a replacement. rather than get a new spade, i was wondering what new stuff has come out in the past year that might be a better buy. i have seen a lot of nice reviews and comments on the ego, and i may be leaning towards that.. especially since it will take all my old carts and attys thanks for any info darrin

thanks for everyones help the issue was that the batteries werent seated in the charger fully i was able to bring back the dead battery to a full charge, and it seems to be working just fine D

well will give it a try.. the other battery stopped working so need to try and charge it well put it in the charger and did have to adjust it a little and the light went red... that MIGHT be the issue with the other one good thing for spares

my second battery seems to be working fine... the one that i might have fried is still sitting in the charger, and has been green the full time.. going to go down and give it a try.. update: nope, got a light for less than a puff and then the battery went dead again almost scared to recharge the other

no matter what way i put the battery in, it never went red... always has stayed green even tried the one that i know works and have been using

thanks Jeff, think i ruined the battery oh well I have one that works, and will try to find a place that sells them. probably not super easy to find, perhaps at a camera store
