  1. Sorry to hear you have cancer of all things. What a terrible terrible ordeal to have to go through. Switching over to vaping will help to put some calm moments back into your life as you contentedly vape your favorite juice. The eGo is a great starter kit device, which is also still used by many veterans of vape. They have wonderful flavor, fast charging, and good life. I still love mine even after all these other mods I've collected since. You can drip into a carto to top it off but first you remove the drip tip ( you hopefully replaced the little white seal ring plug with a mouthpiece/driptip). Remove the DT, tilt it sideways and drip fresh juice into it like you are pouring a beer, with the goal of keeping juice out of the little hole. If you do get juice down the middle, just blow it out. It might gurgle a bit for a few vapes, but it'll recover eventually). Welcome to VT!!

I just received mine yesterday and fell madly in love. Only time will tell how well it holds up, but for the price even a month is cheaper than cartons of smokes, so it's well worth the expense of finding out how long it will hold up. It's lightweight. It doesn't weigh much more than my little Volt. (cig size ecig). But, of course, it's bigger around. It's smaller, much smaller than my SB and way much lighter. I got the red one, and it's a pretty red... it looks almost pink in some lights, and sometimes it gets one of those pretty highlights of orange... It's what I personally call the sherbert colors. It's VERY user friendly! Just push the button up or down, you don't have "access" a menu. Plus, you can lock your preferred voltage by pressing both buttons. It has an on/off feature by pressing the button 3 times. There's a manual for it online, but it doesn't come with one. http://lavatubeecig.com/instruction-manual/ It's great!
  3. I had the same symptom about 3 months in. It lasted about 2 weeks. I did somersaults too after learning it was a healing symptom. Isn't life grand!
  4. I love the usb ego, the Silver Bullet, the Reo Grand, the Volt, the Copper Q3, the OldGoat, my Marks Mod, and whichever one might be skipping my mind at the moment but that I have in rotation. They all have their place in my vaping world. With that said, I can't wait for my LavaTube to get here! The Variable Volts will let me put my carto/atty/ and flavor right where I want it... each carto is different even if rated at one particular setting. (a 1.8 might be anywhere from 1.6-2.2). With the LT I'll be able to dial it in. I haven't yet gotten to experience it first hand, but word is, it's a great little affordable VV mod and with it's wonderful adjustments to your carto and flavor, I would definitely go the LavaTube route. (but they're all fine mods that you speak of).
  5. The LavaTube KnigtRider is an inexpensive way to experience the VV world of vaping. Volcanoecigs has them.
  6. Congrats!!!! Happy Anniversary too!!!!
  7. Yes, they're compatible. The volt carto's are 1.8 duals, and vape quite satisfactory. I purchase the prefilled ones because they cost the same as the empty ones, plus I get extra juice for the same dollar spent, plus... it's so easy to just unwrap and vape, especially when you have the curious George who wants to try it out.
  8. Boba's Bounty loves my Reo Grand by Reosmods.com The best BONUS thing about my RG is that it's also the best DD device on the market. It's never messy, and all the excess goes right back down the tube into a bottle. Of course, it works great the way it's intended to of course, which is from the bottle to the atty, and I enjoy it that way as well. Oh! and pretty soon he's releasing the Vv editions that he and BuzzPro guy built together.
  9. Yep! The Volt is one heck of an eCig. It's tiny, like a traditional, but it packs a steady 3.7volt current until the battery dies in about 3.5 hours. The Cartos are great too. Just change your carto every time to change your battery and no problems with burning flavors or whatnot. I won a Volt kit a few months ago and I have become a huge fan of the sealed Automatic version. I can use them hands free while playing xbox or sweeping the floor. (cough cough, well, okay, I wouldn't know about sweeping the floor lately, but hey, it would work!). I like their RY4 and Desert Ship so far. The DS reminds me a little bit of my favorite HFCT from LX. Oh! I won my kit from SmokelessImage.com
  10. Congrats on being 2yr smoke free, Snubbers!! Your post really hits home with me too. The times I grabbed traditionals were during times I had to go without the internet, the VT forum, during highly stress periods. Had I of been able to log into my favorite support group here, I wouldn't have had such an awful time of it. This place rocks.
  11. Gosh the year flew by. Seems like just yesterday when everyone was excitedly awaiting their Provaril's. The thought of dropping one ... unspeakable horror ... to scratch one up, dent it, or possibly shake loose a wire. Your post relieves the dreaded what if's of owning such an innovative (and expensive) mod. I'm so glad it's okay and that it really is built to last!!
  12. I'll drink to that! Happy New Year!!
  13. Kudos for doing the written follow-ups! Maybe more reviewers will follow in your vapesteps. We can always hope anyway. Speaking of reviews... do you do requests? If so... I'd love to know more about the Switchback (way cool!!) and the awesome new Zenesis with kick. I'm on the waiting list for the Zen, so the review won't sway me, but I'd sure like to know what I'm getting myself in to from a users point of view. Thanks or not, whichever it is.
  14. <--- loves Cisco LR 1.5's (306's) on the Reo Grand and Old Goat type mods. (bottom feeders). In any case, just be sure to let it cool before dripping, and it should last a good month (or few weeks at least).
  15. Here's one of Scotty's earlier videos before he became a polished reviewer. (pun not intended?)
  16. I totally agree with DayVape. The USB ego rocks!
  17. Haha do I know gnaw or what Another thing just crossed my mind. The EMDCCd are huge and really easy for half blind or shaky handed people to refill. Hope your research is going smooth.
  18. Merry Christmas to you too! Sorry to hear you had problems, but it is great hearing that you're getting past them and moving forward! Kudos!! I would not increase the nic mg. You can increase TH in other ways. I'll let the diy folks fill you in on that. As to draining a carto... personally, I can go through a miminum of 5 boge or volt style cartos a day and I refill every night. The only type of carto that I don't have to constantly refill is the EMDCC, but I do have to top it off often for some dumb reason. Hopefully others will have an idea on how to fix that wee problem. The only way to avoid draining the carto is to perhaps purchase a Reo Grand. I have one and absolutely love it. I change the battery once a day, and the juice bottle every other day or so. It just keeps going and going... and it's the perfect Direct Drip machine, it never ever gets messy. But it is cold in the hands at first. But, knowing Grandma, she prolly has her nice robe with pockets to set it in and warm it up nicely before using. I use the LR attys but a lot of Reo owners love the Resserectors from CrystalClearVaping. You can also use the Boge CARTOS, and they'll stay moist with the Reo. Good luck to you and your family!
  19. Direct dripping (even on my Reo) is so far for me the only true flavor bursts with most flavors. Some flavors burst in cartos, like PinkSpotVapors "Jamaican Me Crazy" and "Black Mambo" and a few others. Also TastyVapor "Atomic Cinnacide".... (but be careful with cinnamons and cloves).
  20. I agree with the others, our tastebuds go through many changes throughout their healing stages. Changing your flavors throughout the day helps a lot. ( I use 3 different pv's filled with 3 different flavors for rotating easier). McQuinn, it sounds like you were one of the unlucky ones who recieved a dud batch that season. A good Boba is fantastic.
  21. It depends on your illness. I get fewer colds and flus now than in my pre-vape years. I used to get those flues all the time where I couldn't inhale and it would drive me nuts. So far, since I've started vaping almost 2 years ago, I've only had 2 flues, and only 1 of those flues was difficult to vape my regular nic mg, but when I cut the nic back, I was good to go even with that flu. Your mileage may vary
