  1. Oh sheeze, you're right. doh'. I skimmed over Grimm's review of the regular non-vv gripper and saw the deep well for the XLcarto and ... well, no need to say anymore. I'm so easily confused at times. Too many reviews running through my head at the same time. ,
  2. I agree with the others. It also might be a chemical that you're lacking. We get addicted to more than just the nic when we're smoking. Also, some people need a few of the chemicals that are found in smoking that relieve depression, ADD, and so forth. With that said, you might want to look into the WTA eliquids. So far, I've tried Aromaejuice's P-38 which is really good, and the cream brulee is nice, etc.. Some need to steep, some are fine right out of the box. http://aromaejuice.com/ Another place that is even more popular is Vapelicious, especially their RY4. But they're always out of stock on purchase day. Keep trying! (notice the spelling, it's Vapelicious with an "e") http://vapelicious.com/ Use them only during the strong craving times, like after eating or during work breaks. Best of luck to you!
  3. Wait. I totally forgot that the Rebuildables won't fit on there lol. It's for long stemmed carto's, not regular attys and rebuildables. Right? Still no problem. I have tons of xlong cartos that need using up.
  4. I'm sold on it for sure now. Plus it's affordable enough to replace when lost or damaged. Gosh, hopefully not lost ... the Rebuildable attys cost more than the pv!
  5. Awesome find! I want one!!! Is it a rebranded Strata??? Kind of a mix between the Strata and the Z-atty-u?
  6. That's good to know about the eGo adapter and the clearomizer thingies not working well together. I like them on my Twists too, so it's no big deal for me, either, but it would be nice if they did fit well without the adapter for sure. I agree. The Gripper might be great for testing the ohms of my DID or any other rebuildable I'm building on atm. I love the readout screen and the menu. Thanks for sharing Phil's video with us. I respect his honesty and humor. Not bad for the price, not bad at all. Thanks for your review!!!
  7. I like the vents on this one, and the size. I might seriously contemplate adding it to my arsenal when I can. Not a bad price! Oh! Here's a video review by Scott:
  8. Congrats on your decision to quit smoking! Now is a good time for you to do so. With the advantage of being able to lower your nicotine mg intake as you go along, I'm sure it won't be long before you're home scott free once again. Back to base one. Oh how I wish I never had started smoking. Good for you for catching your breath so early in your smoking habit. I love both the Volt by xmokelessimage.com and the eGo-c-TWIST by TheVeteranVapor.com They both rock. The Volt is one heck of a cig sized one, don't let the size fool you. It really does pack a good satisfying vape, unlike most ecigs in their "size" bracket". Being an infrequent smoker, charging the batteries probably won't be any problem for you at all. They last about 3 hours between charges, when they're constantly being vaped on. The eGo TWIST is one that everyone should have in their arsenal against smoking. This one allows the user to adjust the battery voltage output to their particular ejuice flavor or type. Some flavors prefer a cooler volt, while others demand a hotter vape, and with the Twist you just turn the knob til you reach a nice position. Either way you go, you'll come out ahead and no doubt will be back to try the other one anyway just to see how it goes for you. Most of us do use an assortment day in and day out, for various flavors, outings, and so forth. It never hurts to have more than one kit or type on hand at all times. Besides, like Nana always says, "you can never have enough back ups!". When you vape, it's different from an analog. Be sure to take gentle slow draws, release a little bit of vapor and then inhale. If you have any questions of any sort, hop on by and let out a shout. That's what's so great about VT, the posters here rock!
  9. PBusardo did some nice comparison reviews om youtube. Here's a review on the V2.5 model, that might help.
  10. I'm glad you're discussing this with your Dr., it sounds quite scarey. I hope all is well and that it's just gunk breaking up off the old grill and that once the majority have cleared away a new shiny grill will happily be vaping the best flavors in the universe. It might be a sensitivity to the flavors though. Try vaping some pure VG without flavor for a few days, see how you react. Then do the same with pure PG. If you are okay with both of those, a touch of flavoring to one of them for a few days, increasing the flavor to normal. Then, do the same with the other. Then mix them together. Somewhere, somehow, a sensitivity might rear it's ugly head and you'll be able to make an informed decision on the right mix for your body at this time. Cough heartily, get that grill cleaned out good. Best of luck to you!
  11. Nana! You go girl!! I'm right there with ya. I was floored when Russ of ClickBang discovered that his chain vaping amounted to a whole 15 minutes worth of vaping per day. Mamu made him a new mod with the new Russian Nivel chip installed in it, and the new chip has the ability to keep track of every second vaped. If the same counter were on a ciggy, the amount of time spent smoking would be astronomical due to the smoke that is constantly burning on the end of the one of those awful things. There is no vapor burning in between puffs, like there is with ciggys. The vapor also dissipates from the air quite quickly, unlike the lingering smoke from a ciggy. Fifteen minutes is nothing.
  12. I've run into the same attitude, from a cigar shop. Snooooooooty. is too mild a word. They were even snooty and rude to my hubby who charms everyone. It's their loss. On the other hand, the headshop was totally different. They were excited about the new brand coming in, said it's going to be great and there's lots of accessories for it. I tried to pinpoint a brand, but they of course refused, in case I was a spy for the competition lol The gas stations are being sent promotional material from BT, along with their "contracts". The race is on...
  13. Dang I'm getting good at this whining and nagging. :::polishes knuckles on shirt::: My Mini came to 98.15 (I think! Dang it, I already forgot). I got so excited I forgot! lol P.S. Now there's only 28 left in stock for Preorder that ships August 20 (takes 2 days to get to NY and then 5 days or more to leave customs and then 2-3 days to my door! Can't wait!!! August 29th will be a good good day. )
  14. SIZE Differences: Wick hole 2.8mm on mini DID the bigest possible in 14mm diameter!! Wick hole 3.5mm on Rgular DID SS posts and nuts will be available If you're new to the Rebuildable Genesis type attys, the Regular DID might be a bit easier to learn on. Just a small tip. Might not even be a neccessary tip lol. I won't *know* until I have a Mini too. ::: off to nag the hubby:::
  15. Cuzz I luvz ya baby! VAPOR x Cholo: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/euro-suppliers/296166-new-genesis-type-atomizer-did-1.html The regular DID like I have has a 3.5 ml tank (3ml for juice .5 for air circulation).
  16. Right on!!!! Congrats!!! Dang that is going to be one sweet setup!! The P+18350 is top of my wish list and I hope to pick up the Mini any day now. :stomps foot impatiently at hubby's wallet: They cost pennies a day for the rest of your life. It's like buying 1000 attys for 100 bucks. Extra Kanthal wire and SS mesh can be bought on eBay really cheap and a sheet of mesh will last a good 10 years, a 20' roll of wire just as long... pennies a day! I used a combo of all the tutorials I found and I'm still on my original wick and coil!! (it's starting to dull, but still vapable and it's a good 3 or more weeks old. I forget! Time to clean it, perhaps change the coil. The wick will last another month at least.). You've no doubt already seen all these, but I'll list them anyway, in case you missed one or in case someone else is interested. 1. Jack Frost method!! Very important first step. Here's a very short video tutorial. (most of us just cut the wick in half, so don't worry too much about the size.) . 2./3./4/: DID by Igetcha69 Tobacco Paper (igetcha) VAPOR x Cholo: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/euro-suppliers/296166-new-genesis-type-atomizer-did-81.html#post6810880 Dang, We need to start a DID thread! There's a lot of tips and tricks to assure success. I'm so happy for you!
  17. The post is dry but the battery is wet and sticky? Have you been vaping a juice that contains cinnamon, citrus or clove? Lemon Coconut Cookie mix just cracked one of my clearo's, and the crack was so small I couldn't see it, but my battery was so sticky wet I knew it was a gonner. Replaced with a new clearo, different juice and all is well again. There's a long list of known suspects floating around the internet, if I run across it again, I'll try to remember to post it. Refrain from those types of juices unless you have lots of clearo's and/or polytubes on hand. Then go hog wild! The flavors are so worth the extra clearo's in da house.
  18. I agree, it is subjective. The best vape time depends on if we're coming or going, working or playing, watching movies or making them. They all have their place. I love all my devices. If I had to pick just one... it would be hands down ... the DID rebuildable atomizer. It fits on all my mods to date. I love the pure flavor from the ss Wick, and I can make my ohms to suit my liking. And when I don't succeed with making the OHM of my liking, I adjust my vape with a Vv mod. It's also available from a store/website, and is affordable. I have the regular sized one and am picking the mini DiD up shortly for my eGo TWIST. (haha, I even use the big one on my eGo TWIST, but it's really top heavy. The mini is better suited). oops, you meant which mod, battery device itself, for it's battery time? For length of time, with the ones I have, I'd say the SB, the Reo Grand, the LT and the eGo. Once I get the mini Provari,, my answer will probably be the Provari. The Shockwave has longer life, it has a huge battery. But I haven't used it. You are on a quest for the biggest battery in a 3.7 mod or which DNA or VV device saves the most power? There's a huge difference in applications.
  19. Welcome and CONGRATS!! yeh, you can even rinse with everclear (vodka) if you want a quicker dry time. (evaporates quicker). Have fun trying your new juices!
  20. Check out this short vaping video. Notice he doesn't get any dry hits? yeh. Sweet atty!
  21. Those are nice for DDing as are the DCA306 by goodsense. You're going to be in the flavor now! oh... btw... today the DID mini's went up for Preorders!! and ... get this!... they are ssMesh Wicked!!! Unbelievable. Usually the tiny ones are fiber wraps (like the beautiful Penelope is). I hope it's as great as the large DiDs are. But, knowing Jim, they certainly will be. ::: off to practice patience for tiny wrapping of tiny coils on tiny wicks on tiny atty bodies ::::
  22. Me too Jdog! I hope to pick up an extra regular plus the Mini. (it's my bday month, I get to string my purchases out til the well runs dry). I'll race ya!
  23. That's great news Jim! I'd hate to see you miss out. I was fretting just a little for ya, Amazing how well that little gadget produces, I agree. I still use my LT, to gage battery life, plus it's set up with my DID that I absolutely love and can't do without. (I'll get the mini DID for the eGo when it's on the website in August. Can't wait!) Between the Clearomizers (Kanger on mine) and the DID, this is the best vaping year EVER! Welcome back!!!
  24. Good tips, both of youse. It is difficult to see in the wrong light. At first I thought I'd never find those numbers. But now it's pretty easy. (I hand it to the kid to do it for me lol). (the kid who is over 30)
  25. The Did Shorty is nice on a smaller mod, like the mini-pro, for instance. It's just slightly smaller, so that it's not as "top heavy" on the mod. The mini is even smaller, it's for the eGo type size mods. I have only used the regular DiD so far, but will eventually own a few of each size. If you have a nice sized mod, would start out with the regular size and then at a later time purchase the shorty kit. (shorter center post, smaller cap). You'll love it! It's one of the few attys out there that puts a "heavenly" smile on the reviewer's faces as and after they take a vape. It's ThaT good in both vapor and flavor. and it's tops on wicking the juice. Hardly ever a dry hit. Good decision! (he ships once a week. It takes 2-3 days to hit NY. Customs then holds it for about 5 or more days. Once it's released it will probably arrive at your place before the tracking kicks back in. Unless you go the alternate more expensive way, then it hits your door 2-3 days after he ships it via Fedex or UPS). Congrats!!! You're going to love it!
