Welcome back, not only to VaporTalk, but especially to vaping! I loved the eGo for several years, and now I'm enoying the eGo Twist and the Vision Spinner. (they're eGo's with Variable Volt so we can torque it up when needed). They're great for out and about, affordable, easy to replace if lost, and they deliver with nice power!

I rotate my 3 RBA's (DID20, Gemini, Mini DID) all day every day. They each have a different juice in them. Tobacco, beverage, fruit. For awhile, before I got the Gemini to add to my other 2, I used a Viva Nova thingie, but the little piddler is resting in peace now.

ahhhhh, that's so sweet. And they're worth liking too much too! and yep, that like limit has GOT TO GO.

Daily consumption will rise... I vape at least 4ml a day, and often 6ml. Your mg nic strength will lessen though. Be sure to have Zero mg in fave flavor on stock, so as to dilute as needed. A wick will last at least 6 months. No problem. They can be taken out, washed under the faucet or put into an Ultra Sonic cleaner. I usually just torch the gunk off mine, and remove lingering blobs with an old soft toothbrush. The coil will last anywhere from 6-8 weeks, more or less. I just had to rewrap my Mini DID and felt dumbfounded getting started, because it had been sooooooo long since I'd wrapped a new coil. YMWV (your mileage will vary). That baby went for a long long time. Remove the wick, fire the button to heat the coils, then dunk the coils in distilled water, for a shock bath. (be sure NOT to dunk the mod of course lol). The boogers will fly off. Any remainders can just be groomed off with a soft toothbrush or ... if the wire uncoiled when you took the wick out because it was soooo gunked up, then just run a papertowel along the wire to clean the soot off. Just anneal the wire again, and rewrap, or cut off a new wire to anneal and wrap. How often does it need cleaned or dry burned? That mostly depends on your ejuice. If your juice is clear, and not too sugary, it will go a week to a few weeks between dry burnings. If you use to dark, sugary juices, you'll want to dry burn more often... a few times a week... maybe a few times a day, just like with your regular attys. The good thing about the Genesis type RBA, is you'll be able to see the soot and clumps appearing or overtaking... every time you remove the cap to refill, or to scoot that wick back away from the negative post, or whatever needs doing. They're much easier to keep track of, than the typical store bought premade atty. Hope this helps to answer your questions.

+10 McQuinn Thanks for the review OP. Like McQuinn said, it's nice to hear they're finally improving, but it sucks they still have a ways to go to catch up with the Volts and other better delivery systems. Why oh why do they lie about the amount of puffs in those? Stupid marketers.

You're right, of course, Case. You got me to remembering back, and I remember I didn't try it until a few months of vaping the Apple's, Bananas, and other great flavors. What a different out look I may have had if I had of tried that HFC tobacco first. I might be warning people to stay away... far away lol. There are lots of great sample juice packs at various Vendors. Altcig.com has some of the most affordable juices around, and, of course, we either hate em or adore em. I'm at this moment enjoying their Bob's Krave Kutter... it's nutty, dry, with caramel and vanilla. Like a Ry4/555 mix or something. Not too bad. Another one of theirs I really like is Caramel Cappuchino. I'm a cappy fan. I also love their Irish Cream. (strong flavor tho, watch out!). So, with that said, 3 out 5 tried of theirs so far, I feel confident enough to recommend them to others. The best part? Beverage, fruit, dezert, and so forth, and will feel more confident shopping at the other more expensive stores. If you hate them, it's probably because they used too much flavoring. Shake the bottle good, take the cap off, and let it sit in a safe dark cubby hole for a week, putting the lid back on and shaking it every day. (it won't evaporate). That's called "steeping". Hopefully you will enjoy enough, to learn your palette. If you hate it, it's okay. Just keep it in an igloo and revisit in 6 months. Our tastebuds change as they heal from smoking.

CaseAce has your back. The only thing I can think of to add, is the prefilled Honey Flue Cured Tobacco from LiquidXpress.com 12mg if they have it. It might not be your cuppa-tea... some love it (like me) and some hate it. But I leave you the link, because I don't know what side of the fence you'll fall on. If nothing else, they're great for in a pinch when your other carto's need replacing or whatever. Never hurts to have backups! Just ask Nana.

He fills in the missing spots in the comments section of the video. if that helps. But yes, you're right, and I wish he would have redone it, and made it shorter to boot, like it should have been. What the hay, it's my bandwidth overages, not his lol. With that said, it gives a good visualization of the mystical Oxiization method, called "torching".

I don't know the size, they didn't specify, and I didn't ask. (I should have!). Maybe try a little bit of vaseline on the o-ring, for the cap to slide easier? Or, more bags of o-rings. I'll go search for the "101 uses for spare o-rings of all sizes" topic...

In case you didn't pick up this important tidbit in the video's, I'll say it here while thinking about it... Whenever you vape an RBA genesis type atty, hold your mod so that the wick hole is pointed towards the floor. This helps to keep the wick inside the juice whenever it's tilted. Easy, common sense, yet one that's often overlooked just as easily.

Way cool. The pic in this reply post really explains the Washers concept. The washers become a conductor, because they are touching the positive post, and because they extend out aways from the center post, the wick is now closer to the "new" center post. The pic will explain better than me.

The only fix I've heard so far, is to use thicker o-rings. At least they're cheap to buy bags in assorted sizes.

These past few months certainly have been busy with releases. Too many neat things all at the same time. I feel for you! It'd be a hard call to make. This is a 3 part series, by Rick. It's a long video, and he takes extra time, to drive the point home. It won't take you, the user, near as long as he took. (and if you use a stove top's blue flame, it will be even faster). Rick is a good person, and very helpful with his vaping experiences. Scott, Igetcha69, has a lot of RBA and Hybrid tutorials. Most of his oldest videos show how to oxidize and wrap a coil on each device. Lately he is skipping that part and getting right down to just the mod itself. This is one of the older videos where he oxidizes and coils the RBA that I own and love, the DID. A lot of you will probably start out with the AGA-T series type of RBA. They are from China, like a lot of our vaping gear comes from. China is brand new to the RBA, and still have a lot of quirks to work out. But they are passable, workable, with work arounds for some of the quirks. They're dirt cheap, and an affordable way to learn how to set up an RBA. For a pleasurable experience, though, be sure to save your pennies for a genuine RBA from a reputable modder. The modders usually get the important things right, such as size and placement of wick hole and the air hole, top quality SS, and so forth. But these are nice for learning, and for in a pinch. (there are others, but you really don't want to hear my opinion on some of them). Zen's tutorial is one that really helped me to "get it". His Zenesis is a Genesis style atty.

I can't edit, there is a time limit on the edit function. It's still readable once the < doodads > are familiar and overlooked, I hope. A few things that need to be covered that were missed earlier: 1. Make sure the wick is as close to the center post as possible, without touching. 2. If you're over the age of 25, a good pair of dollar store reading glasses will be highly appreciated. I use these and/or a Jewlers Visor. (sometimes both, when my eyes are really tired). 3. Line the air hole in the top cap over your wick. If you desire a stronger throathit, move the top cap's air hole out of alignment with the wick. The further away from the wick, the stronger the hit. (less vapor results too tho). 4. If your air hole does not line up with the wick, you might have to wet sand the top cap down a notch. Just set the sand paper on the table, then wet the bottom of your top cap and plunk it solidly down onto the sand paper and move it around a little. Check for fit. Repeat as needed. 5. Videos! We need videos. You're probably asking why I didn't include the videos earlier. Well, once we get to youtube, we have a tendency to explore and get lost... well, at least I do. This way you also have a nice place to find the post that explains whatever part you are looking for. Together, they will make sense. There are tons of RBA tutorials on youtube. Look for Hybrid, or RBA either one. (the Hybrid's are RBA's). Everyone has their own style, their own way that works well for them. By watching many, you will get a feel for the way that would work for you. Some don't even torch their mesh anymore... which is cool... but.... it's also controversial due to the machine oils on the mesh and the Kanthal. I wouldn't advise avoiding the torch step, unless you boil your mesh. (many of them boil, but forget to mention that fact). Otherwise, anything is a go. You'll see. Good luck, and good vaping! Way to go MSE!! That looks great. I can't believe you were able to pull that wick so far over towards the post without the coil digging into the wick. (and yes! it needs to be as close to the positive post as possible, without touching, like you mentioned). I don't know why they placed that wickHOLE so far away from the post, but they seem to do that on every one of their attys, and especially even more so with the new imporved T+. (I don't have to worry about that with my genuine DID series, the wick hole is just right placed). OH! I ran across a post today that said to use some .M2.5 washers. Another poster also mentioned that the slippery/slimey o-rings are an easy fix. I've asked them both for fuller info. Hopefully I'll be able to help you tomorrow with it.

Right on!! This makes it easier to clean, change out tanks, and all the fun stuff. I figured it had to come off, but, then again, being China, ... I wish there were a way to make that top cap stay on tighter. I'll keep my ears open for any tips as I read the threads in the various forums.

Congrats on your new Twist kit!!! I wouldn't sweat the 15 bucks, you got yourself a nice kit, be happy! I've never shopped at this store, but I assume they're ok. The main thing is, you're on your way to a better way of life. Vape on!!
