Now *that* was sad!! Him for being a control freak, setting it up to push all the right buttons, video taping it for his own gain, ... (but I would have to!! What a weirdo she is!!!). Her for not seeking help to control her responses to a control freak. She needs meds, he needs a life.

Electric Angel Mechanical Mod or Innokin SVD
Uma replied to DragonGunner's topic in General Vaping Discussion
The EA is a very nice mod! A few of my online friends have one, and they're mostly in love with the way it feels in hand. It does have it's "quirks", like any gadget, but as far as I remember, they are manageable, fixable, or tolerable. One friend did sell his, to pick up the Nemesis, and has been over the moon happy for months now. (as have all the others who've received one). I'm picking one up for my Bday whether my spouse likes it or not. Like Imedic said, you have to go with what feels right for you. If you don't like it afterall, or if you turn into a Mod **** like many of us, you can always sell it on the classies, recoup your funds, and try out the next one that catches your fancy. (never pay over retail for a used mod, unless the goodies that come with it make it worth the while.). Good luck to you!! Life is a journey, not a destination. Enjoy the ride, smoke free. -
Woot Woot!! That's awesome!!!! Cutting back, or quitting, either one, without stress, priceless. It's the stress that'll kill ya.

Welcome to VaporTalk!!! For more power, you might want to try the eGo Twist or the Vision Spinner. These are loved even by those who have the Tim the Toolman Taylor type mods. Yet they are small, affordable, and great for dialing in to suit your particular flavor or mix. As you're contentedly vaping away at 4.2 instead of 3.3 volts, you'll be able to calmly (ROFLMAO!!! OK, this is not so true, because when the heart sees that mighty fine Mod, all heck breaks loose inside our spirits),.. but, for idealist sakes, you are set up nicely to research calmly for your next new Mod. Best of luck to ya Ain't it great how we go from "Having to have a smoke" to "Having to Have that MOD"!!! I love it!!!!

I use a tiny coin purse with 2 zippered pockets for carrying. It's slightly padded, keeping things nice. The large main pocket holds a 10ml bottle of juice, an extra eGo battery, extra mod batteries. The smaller pocket holds a paper clip, wire, mesh, and extra mouthpiece DT. Here's a photo... it looks huge in the pic, but it's not, it's really small. I also have a few eGo cases full of stuff, and a Volt case (my fave, because it is deeper instead of wider), The iTaste fits inside the eGo case great, complete with charger, extra clearomizers, and even the manual with all the extra languages ripped out of it. These are nice cases, but I do wish they were a bit deeper. But they're great if they're going into pocket instead of purse, that's for sure.

You might want to write them and inquire for info in your particular areas of concern.

Steeping by ultrasonic cleaners is the new rave this year. It really does work nicely. DIY'ers have taken to it like a duck takes to water. All it does is hasten the steeping process, so that we can enjoy the flavors earlier. It's cool to see a store promoting it as their specialty. It means that we, the customers, won't have to wait a week, it's pre-steeped and ready to vape. That's one of the reason's a lot of folk really enjoy the DeKang jooses, ... by the time they arrive here in America, they've been shaken, steeped, for a good 2-3 weeks... they're ready to vape. Thanks for the headsup on this store!

I haven't tried it.. haven't even researched/read up on it yet. Let us know how it works for you.

You've managed to tweek your way around it's negative issues, quite easily. That's a huge plus in my book. I can see how the rim would interfere with manuevering(sp), but what an good one for practicing on before investing in something like a Fogatti that can be a challenge due to the sunk-in deck. (Great for holding the extra joose from a great wick tho). I might invest, just for that alone. (got my heart set on snagging a Fogatti Hybrid within the next 10 years lol, they're that hard to get!). Looks like I'll be busy on youtube on the 1st of the month. (already over bandwidth for this month... like 2 weeks ago lol).

Over Discharge and Mechanical Mods
Uma replied to ArnieH's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I'm not a rocket scientist or anything, but I assume he means that it depends upon whether your mod is up or down. Sometimes the battery is inserted nipple towards the top, and sometimes it's towards the bottom. It depends on how the Modder made that particular Mod. So, he was lightening up the air a little, by saying "It depends what you call top and bottom". But, I could be wrong. -

LOL. We all are. Hey, maybe we can continue on with an update on battery info itself? A lot has changed over the years (thank God!!), and it would be good to get the best of the best out there now. Basically, with eBay leading the way with rebranded clones and phonies, about the only ones I know to trust are IMR from AW, and the RTSVapes who supplies them. (never got a phoney from them yet). What about the Panasonics? Who are the trusted Vendors with those? EFEST? (I bought a few eFest, and mine didn't last near as long as they were touted to, but they might work well for others?). IMR- MNKE's rock. What else is out there and what other vendors specialize in batteries? (I guess I could go research, but I've been pretty happy with what's working and haven't had the motivation to dig into it). I bet Will Black knows. Where is Will anyway?? He should be in here talking up a storm, not me. -
Sweet! I'm looking forward to the updates with it. I know you were very hesitant to get it. What makes it difficult to set it up? Is the wick too far from the ties?
-
Good deal then. I might have to pick one up one of these days.

Here's one. I don't know how correct it is. Cigarette ingredients

I echo BluCavvy. The Twist and Spinner have just as much "power" as any mod, because of it's special pulsating current. They're actually fantastic little devices for the buck. Unfortunately, a set will not last you for forever, The Provari will last a long time. If and when it does need repairs, it only takes a week or two because they are here in America. You'll get to see your ohms, battery life, power up, power down, LED on/off, .. all the basic readouts that you'll ever need when and if you move on to other types of atomizers. You can use a pretty large atomizer/tank on a Provari, but they're completely silly on an eGo type. The VW can be had with a good solid mechanical mod and a Kick. Great for when you get into the rebuildable attys or huge tanks. There are some new DNA20 mods out there now, that might interest you. Fabulous mods. (and I'm sure some flops as well). I haven't used an Evic yet, but I've heard great things about them. (the heads came off, but I think they've fixed that quirk, right guys?). I haven't used the Zmax, and I've heard both good and bad about them. It's pretty large, correct. I obviously am no help with deciding between these two. My apologies. I wouldn't have spoken up at all, but I wanted to bring an echo to BluCavvy's thoughts.

LOL, okay, so now we have a battle over batteries? This is twisted fun. The Protected batteries of old weren't as safe as the IMR (AW-IMR) because they didn't have the Safe Chemistry that the IMR's have. The Safe Chemistry battery doesn't "blow up", but the old fashioned Protected batteries could. So, Vapers switched over to the AW-IMR type of batteries, for the safer chemistry. A lot of Vapers missed the Fuse protection that the Protected Batteries had, so they started using the one time Fuse with their IMR's. Best of best worlds. Except, now we need to buy a truckload of fuses, so we always have a fuse at the ready in case one pops if we over drain it, over charge it. So, next, they came out with a reSettabe fuse, so we didn't have to replace the fuse every time it blew. We just had to take the battery out, check it with the multimeter for charge levels, if okay, put it on the charger and replace the battery inside the mod with a charged battery that is at least an hour off the charger. The fuse would reset back to functioning. Finally, companies came out with a safer Protective Battery. The Panasonic is one of them. It's a great battery!! But, it is a new concept. Some trust it, some don't. Even here in this thread, we have one who doesn't trust it, so he uses an extra fuse. This makes the battery, with 2 fuses, too long for the mod. It can not close completely. To remedy that, it was suggested to use the regular sized IMR battery with a fuse, which will fit like a glove and his mod will now close completely, the Battery is Safe Chemistry to begin with (does not explode), and with the Fuse added to the equasion, he can still feel safe. If not a fuse, then use the circuit board called the "KICK" with the IMR battery. A Kick will not fit with the Protected Batteries. The Protected Batteries are longer, because they have a fuse built right in. No, I don't know everything, and I'm still learning a lot of things, but I do know that fitting a Kick or even an extra tiny Fuse inside my mod with a Protected battery just isn't going to fit correctly. I want my set up to perform optimally, and leaving threads exposed is not exactly allowing the set up to perform to it's maximum. Either go with a Protected Panasonic or go with an IMR with a fuse added or go with an IMR with a KICK added. All 3 are protected and by golly all 3 of the safety ways fits inside the mod. Adding a Fuse to an already Fuse Protected Battery will not fit. There should always be a drop in performance. (unless you are vaping with a KICK, or a Provari with power chip thingie or VW and then it drops during the last few puffs). The resistance of your atomizer plays a key part as well. There are quite a few variables. There we have it. It wasn't a thread about battery battles. It was a thread about: 1. help! My battery over drains!!! 2. using a Fuse with a battery that has a built in fuse already, making the entire battery so long that the mod won't close completely. 3. Resistance in ohms and in fuses can make a difference in the Griz came in and cleared up the questions that were floating. He corrected and confirmed and just overall set many records straight. I luvz ya Griz! Thanks!!!! (PS. I'm not upset, I'm just trying to keep this thread on topic). -

LOL, I'm just glad everything's settling down and you're finding that you do find a drop in vapor production after all. That really had us baffled, and worried. I've heard the Panasonics were fantastic, but they haven't been put through the test of time with vaping yet, like the AW-IMR's have been. I didn't know if it was your battery, your battery and fuse, your battery/fuse/current from the cap, or what, but something sure was sorely wrong. I learned that I've been tossing my 3.2 out of paranoia. That's good news! But, the relevant issues were solved? Then we brainstormed well. -

I loved those machines. They had a tendency to calm the adults in our mist. Today everyone is road rage crazy angry. Except, of course, the Vapers, who seem to carry around their own portable machines wherever they go. You can spot a vaper by the backpack(s) they lug around
