Over Discharge and Mechanical Mods
Uma replied to ArnieH's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
Yep. Paranoid. But it works for me and my chronic CRS. Plus the ones that lose time, oomph, or that anything changes at all, that get tossed. The Panasonic is a new battery, popular this year. It is majorly different from the protected batteries of old. Perhaps stating the specifications of your particular battery earlier might have been a wise choice. The Panasonic can pull the amps that others can not. You need to read the charts of your particular battery and know what it is capable of. You never did answer why you don't trust your Protected Panasonic. PS. The Checkoff list, was just that. It's the typical checkoff list for everybody with any battery holder/holder. It was not meant for you specifically to run down the list with. I thought you'd be smart enough to figure that out. My apologies. -
hehe, I'm so old I can't even make out the first two let alone the last one. .. and no, I don't need to be informed guys.

oops, sorry about that! Type in essential oils case at Amazon and a lot of different styles pop up. Here's one I like a lot. And it's even purple inside. http://www.amazon.com/5-Bottle-Purse-size-Essential-Carrying-Case/dp/B00C0OC77S/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1374858959&sr=8-4&keywords=essential+oils+case

BCarter, they're probably great people, when not in each other's company. (and when not undergoing button pushing moments). but I doubt it hehe. I bet your friends are right.. I bet they're both wacko's who both need counseling and meds

LOL Jeff. Get him Blu!!!!

You'll end up with both a VV/VW and a Mechanical Mod in the end anyway. Trust me. I'm not familiar with the Blade Slide mod, nor the SID, so I can't recommend either one. (doesn't mean I don't, just means I can't). If you go for a Mechanical Mod, make sure it is completely wire and sauter free. Personally? For your first ever Mod, I would go with a VV or VW or combo of the two, that has all the safety features built right in. If your atty is shorted, it won't turn on and vape. If your batteries are low, it won't vape. They also give a readout of your battery level, your ohms, your volts... they're pretty darn sweet for learning the concepts that go with vaping. The Provari is just VV, but it is the safest, most durable, handiest mod out there. Even folks with chronic CRS, like me!, can use it really easy. (CRS? = can't remember "stuff"). It is so straight forward it's ridiculous. Plus, they are made and sold right here in America, which means, that if it ever needs fixing, you'll have it back in 2 weeks time or less, and the shipping will only be 5 bucks. (if you have to ship it overseas, you're looking at ... might as well just buy another one, it'd be faster and cheaper). Hope this helps you decide. I'm sorry I don't know the ones you've set your heart on atm. If I find time later, I'll try to research both of those for you. I know the iTaste VV, V3 is pretty sweet. I don't know it's lifespan, or what problems may come up, if they're fixable or not, so I can't recommend them as a tried and true last for 6 months at least 40 dollar kit, but other than that, I certainly do recommend them.

Lung hits, compared to mouth hits....
Uma replied to haynchinook334's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Then by all means, cut down on your nic mg levels. Anytime you're getting dizzy, means you've achieved your quota for the time being. I had to switch from 18mg down to 12mg & 6mg after switching over to a genesis style attys, because those are quite a different producer of all things vaping. My cravings setup that used to be 36mg VG (like Bobas Bounty), was dropped down to 24mg VG Bobas Bounty. I'd vape the higher dose, only during super cravings, or for those break times where I had to go 2 hours without a vape, etc.. Most of my time I vape 12mg now. Sometimes zero, to be honest. Zero nic lets me take a deeper lung hit. That satisfaction we miss from smoking. (and never noticed that we were taking gentler inhales over the years because our lungs had changed gradually). For a more satisfying deep lung hit, smoking type vape? Zero Nic for the win. For calming your Jonsies? A higher mg in a VG base. (until you are calm. Switch to gentler when you're calm). For all day long vaping? A nice steady 6mg - 12mg PG/vg mix, in a variety of flavors and even zero flavorings. For more vapor. VG. Larger air holes. For more sweetness. VG For more flavor. PG I just woke up, I hope I'm not off track of your questions. Summary: A variety of batteries and atomizers loaded and at the ready throughout the day, for your personal needs, is... a typical day in the life of a veteran vaper. (anywhere from 2 to 10, whatever floats your particular boat). These are just suggestions, not rigid guidelines or warranties or guarantees. It's what works great for many vapors. -
I vape such a variety of flavors, even non-flavored throughout the day, week, that I don't really worry myself over it. I've got one flavor that is colored up a real pretty green, which I vape for about an hour a day, to change my palette up. (it's a really strong flavor!). I try to stay away from oil/butter flavors, even though those can taste the best ever. But, it's been recommended to vape only Water Base Food Flavorings, to avoid the microwaved buttered popcorn syndrome. (I forget what it's called). The flavoring keeps me vaping instead of smoking, and if it replaces 4 million problems with one new one, so be it. I'm a grown up, & if I can't handle a problem by now, I never will.

A divorce is the best thing that's happened to either one of them, I agree. What a sad situation. I hope she sought the counseling and medications she needs in order to live a full productive life, and find a man who will love and support her, like her ex should have but didn't. Just because she has a problem doesn't mean she doesn't deserve a rich and happy life with someone who can love her fully back. I hope he matures and finds happiness too, and may his children or new wife never have problems they can't face together, as a loving team. (Thanks Blu, for speaking up when you saw what I saw. I'm not crazy afterall! )

Oh! Check out the "essential oils cases" at Amazon for your eLiquids. Sweet!

WTG! I think you'll really like it, it's a nice one. Just like Imedic said. So portable! In a few months time, if they hold up well for even 6 months time, these will be highly recommended by us old-timers and not-so-old-timers alike. They're just so overall nice. I bought mine to check it out, and then give it to my nephew... but he hasn't seen it yet. lol. I might have to buy another one to give to him.

That's like a little camera case! Love it. Here's an iTaste kit in an eGo case. Even the manual fits as long as the extra languages are torn out first. (love the battery charger!! can take it with you anywhere, provided your cell phone's charger is also an adapter).

fda and analog menthol / looks like fda is wanting to end flavors
Uma replied to tzymroz2013's topic in General Vape News
I wonder if this has anything to do with the Nightly News blurb the other day. http://www.nbcnews.com/video/nightly-news/52558842#52558842 Oh, and did you hear the one about how Ohio's big pharma payroll helpers (ALA, AHS, blablabla) have decided to oppose the bill selling eCigs to minors, because of the taxes they'd lose. lol. Sad but true. E-cig bill called a ‘Trojan horse’ | The Columbus Dispatch So, by declaring eCigs Menthol to be bad, they can overly tax the citizens again, and by declaring they don't want to ban them from kids, they will make even more money as one by one the kids try them to see what all the fuss is about. Politics. Can't live with it, can't live without it. -

Yes, larger air holes produce more vapor. You'll often lose flavor. It depends on where the air holes are placed. Every device is different. Some people prefer 2 tiny air holes instead of one large one. (some devices call for it, such as the uey wick attys). Increasing the VG levels helps with vapor production too (also reduces flavor, but adds sweetness). -
Aha, thanks!!! I

LOL, yep and nope. Yep, he's a control freak, and nope this wasn't the first time. But, like I said, I would have wanted to record it too! (even if were only the 2nd time). He was ready, he was pushing buttons to get her reactions. She needs meds. She needs help. Lots of help. She was held "hostage". A lot of people have their phobia's...

Anyone on here read books....
Uma replied to SouthWestPayDay's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Because I've been spending too much money on vaping, my next book was going to be Rick Austin's "Secret Garden of Survival: How to Grow a Camouflaged Garden in the Forest". But the PrepperJournal guy gave it a thumbs down for lack of instructions, so now I don't know what I'll read. Maybe I'll get it anyway, what the hay. -
Sweet!! Glad it's a keeper. :: off to wipe the forehead:::

Just arrived last night, and haven't set it up yet (hopefully will tonight), my new Nahual RBA and my new Stiff's Pipe Stem Drip Tip. For now it is on my Roller, but as soon as my Stiff Nutz Groove Pipe is here, it will go on it. Can't wait!! My magic wand. and here's the Stiff Nutz Groove Pipe, to give you an idea of the overall method to my madness.

Link please!! I use a makeup bag to hold all the chargers... phone, eGo, Volt, Kindle, ... my goodness how the list goes on and on. To have one easy to find everything vape related in one bag? priceless. Gimmethelinklady!!!

T3S vs T2 (Ego CC Longwick) full comparison
Uma replied to bcartervol98's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Excellent review with FAQ's spread throughout the thread. This should be a STICKY THREAD so newbies find it easy. Thanks for doing this BCarter!! -
Just make sure it's Stainless Steel, etc.. like, A-1 Kanthal... If you need guidance when you're at eBay, or any other place, just open up the Mesh Company's link in a new tab, and compare all the technical abbreviations.

<--- add another 10 hr at best user that goes through at least 4-6mls a day.

Nothing like a good pipe on a winter's evening while reading the good old fashioned novel on a Kindle. If all goes well, I'll have a Stiff Nutz Groove Pipe in my arsenal in the next month or two, just in time for the crisp nights of Fall. I'm not real confident in the FastTek products, like the poster before me, and I hope the pipe works fantastic for you!! There are a lot of creative and excellent pipe makers out there, so if the one you got doesn't perform up to par, be sure to check out the many others on the market. (epipemods.com, vape-mods.com at FB, for instance). Congrats on purchasing your first pipe!!!
