Anybody do any "hardcore" camping?
Uma replied to blucavvy's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
haha, I live off grid... a few years were very much how you describe. BUT, I cheated, by using an inverter hooked up to a car battery, to charge my eGo's and cell phone. We now live in luxury with solar panels, batteries, and an outdoor shower. Oh! And finally a fridge!!! It's a tiny little Black and Decker, but it plugs in and makes ice and keeps the mayo cold. There are a lot of helpful sites for people like you and me. Here's a few: Knowledge Weighs Nothing Off Grid Survival The show DoomsDay Preppers on National Geographic has lots of interesting tips... and characters lol... Their website also has tips, like how to purify your water, make a stick/branch shelter, etc. Youtube is chalk full of Preppers and Survivalists tips too. (I could live at youtube) There are lots of places, and forums, on Survivalists and Preppers that will help you lots. Have fun! (and never leave home without a box of tampons, steel wool, and a 9volt battery). PS. This site has a list of helpful sites: -
That's gorgeous Mark!! Can't wait to see the finished product. Congrats IMedic! You're going to love it, I'm sure. I have one and use it all the time, would be lost without it. One of these days I'll get another one.

TAPOUT!!! Not only is that an awesome case, but YOU HAVE A POLDY!!!! Congrats!!! Lookin' sweeeeeet. What is your case? I've found a few online I like a lot, but they're pretty expensive by the time I get the foam and stuff. Meanwhile, the mods get wrapped in foamy paper stuff, and shoved into my laptop carry bag zipper part. (live in fire danger area, must be ready to leave at a moment's notice).

I've been doing some mixing finally.. I'm late to the party like you... and I still go into a panic when somebody asks questions. I dunno! I dunno! I plead, I dunno!! Post your question in the DIY forum, though, so the non-panicky peeps will find your plea for help easier. (they subscribe to the sub forum I believe). You've one good helper so far, and it never hurts to have more.

I haven't tried them yet, which is surprising when you stop to consider how much I love more wraps on my gennys. I've always liked lots of coils to hold the juice. I'm not much into the sub-zero ohms, 0.8ohm is as low as I am comfortable going, just too much vapor. I like tons of flavor and lots of vapor. Once I pick up an RM2 for my Reo's, I'll for sure do the micro-coils with cotton wicks. I hear nothing but good about those. Will I attempt it on my genny? I really don't know. I'm kinda happily stuck in a rut...

The Empire PV Mod...It's Baaaaaaaaaack!
Uma replied to Rixter's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
Easy; come, easy go. Ya snooze ya looze. Oh well, didn't need one anyway. ::: off to cry me a river::: -
Aren't they great!! One one way to baby your atty is to make sure it has eliquid in it before you test the ohms. The mods have to turn the atty on to get a reading.. which is a dry burn if the atty is dry or dry-ish. The long barrel is the one I have, Rix! I hate spitting hot eLiquid, and the long barrel assures I don't get smacked in the lips with a hot spittle. Love Hanah, he's a genius. and no, I still haven't used mine until I pony up and get a spare on hand lol.

Single 18650 Vs. Stacked 18350 Batteries
Uma replied to Rixter's topic in Variable Voltage & Wattage
PLEASE keep them in sets though!!! Do NOT mix them up!! If you lose one of the batteries, toss the other! Fresh and older batteries charge and discharge at different rates.. it's very very important to keep this in mind at all times. -
I know right,! It looks sweet in many ways... like gold plated contacts. I already love the regular good old genny one.. it's so large I don't even need reading glasses to set it up lol. Can't wait! (and I'm not a hybrid person!).

Wow, way to go Rixter!! Great find on the spare parts for the AGA series too. This post will be so helpful for not only the RSST but for the AGA-T+ folks as well. Kudos!!

Oh nice, they do give a % to support the children of agent oranged Vietnam. No, I haven't tried the various other flavors yet, just Pluid. It drives me crazy they don't say what flavors might be tasted. I've kept my eyes peeled for info though, and so far, I've heard: Maha Raz is like a Chi-Tea with roses... a Pot-Pouri that grows on ya, or it doesn't. Needs a lot of steeping. 710 is like a chocolate... but not quite a good chocolate... and needs a lot of steeping. The two safest bets are Pluid and Agent Orange. (but they're all worth trying I imagine! and he's busy in the kitchen creating even more exotic flavors to try).

Valid arguments, but until it's signed on the dotted line, let's FIGHT!!! FIGHT!!! FIGHT!!!!

Sorry I haven't had a chance to gather my act together yet. I hope to join the fun soon though.

I'm an old dinosaur still groovin to the iPod pods... But I know what will be on my Christmas list now.

Arnie, yes, you're right, it probably should not be vaped 24/7 that's for sure. LISTEN UP IMEDIC!!! LOL (nobody really knows if coloring is awful or indifferent or what, so it's best to be on the safer side of joy). IMedic, I'm that way with GVC. Love the GVC. (Grant's Vanilla Custard). <---- even harder to get now that the word is out Rixter, you missed the key word, "trying". They're trying to have it on the shelves every week. Hang in there.

Grim says the eVolve Kick v2 is out. Goes up to 15 watts but feels just as good as the DNA 20... and, unlike the DNA 20, it actually still fits the mods like the original Kick 10 did/does. Same price too! Here's Grim Green's blurb on it. KICK V2

LOL, like as if it needs twisting!

How do you know when you have "Officially" become an e-cig geek?
Uma replied to ArnieH's topic in General Vaping Discussion
LOL, my Grandson has backed me 100% on this vaping journey, because he hates the stinkies. He knows more about my mods than I do sometimes. Lately, during my 3rd year of vaping and mod collecting, he's thrown up his hands in defense. "You have too many to keep track of anymore! Why do you need so many?"... He's right. And I'll quit collecting, right after I get my Nemy, MicroChel, L/B Versa, SDv2, Groove Pipe... honest I will. -
If Gov Regulation of the E-cig Makes it Expensive

CASAA helps by organizing data and giving outlines on how/what to talk to your newspapers, politicians, etc. They know the language, they attend public meetings, they do a bunch of work for the vaping communities as a whole. They promote the good, quiet, side of fighting. There are other grassroots orgs forming for downright battle though. -
Help me get through to my doctor! And one other thing.
Uma replied to spydre's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Congrats on switching over to vaping from smoking! You might be a patient that needs to refrain from nicotine as well as from the smoke? If so, you're in luck, because the eLiquid makes it so easy to wean ourselves off of nicotine. What is your MG strength right now? Do you have more than one battery/clearomizer set up? If so, then save the mg you're vaping now for those strong cravings times in one ecig and vape a lower nic in your other setup the rest of the time. (there are only about 6-12 cigs a day that we jones for, the rest are habit and boredom). As your body adjusts, introduce an even lower MG level perhaps in a 3rd setup. Having it available in a 3rd setup will let you go back to your tried and true very easily and effectively any time you feel the "need". To help educate your DR, about the eCigs, you can find a collection of helpful info on sites like CASAA.org or Dr. Seigel's Blog, etc. Stay away from ALA, ACA, ACS,...you know, all the "helpful" orgs and societies who are subsidized by the Big Pharma and Big Tobacco companies. (cig tax monies). (American Lung Asses), etc. As far as the picnic? You'll be fine!! Everyone will be saying.. "ohhh that smells so good!! Blow it over my way!!", .. "What are you smoking in that thing?"... etc. Just chain vape through any cravings. The hardest one will be the after meal/after treat, with beverage ones. But you can do it! If your setup can't chain vape, (dry hits), then load a second one and be ready to chain vape by alternating them. You can do it!! Especially when you realize how awful the cig tastes after you take a hit of your vape. In fact, when I first started, I had a cig in one hand and an eGo in the other... I would take MORE hits off the eGo because it tasted better and it also provided MORE vapor! Both. After a week, I could no longer stand to light up a cig at all. (I was a 2 pack a day smoker for over 40 years). If you can't, it's okay. You still smoked less overall, than you have in forever. You are set up to start your new non-smoking life tomorrow. You'll be fine. Relax!!! Oh, btw, I had a Dr. appt last week... 100/70... (makes my jogging/exercising hubby so crazy jealous!!!), but my Dr called me in or consultation after receiving my blood tests back. I stressed and stressed.. hubby kidded and joked.. "they're going to take away your chocolate!"... etc... my BP that day? 135/80. Quite a jumpt!! But the Doc just laughed and said she'd never ever take away a gals chocolate, ... it's actually good for us... but she is worried about my bad cholesterol levels. That's it. Nothing else. Just watch the pizza intake, and stress levels. Stress will get us before anything else does. Just ask Big Pharma, who gets richer and richer off those dang stupid pill commercials, smoking propaganda gum/patch/etc.., ... Relax, enjoy your vape, and we'll hook you and Doc up with some proper studies and literature off the net for her to research. ECLAT studies is one... -
It used to be next to impossible to get it, but not anymore. MadMurddck, recently gave/sold the recipe to VapingWatch in order to produce enough for the masses who demand it. Until now, it was just MadMurdock trying to supply the public, as well as create more flavors. He finally caved in to VapingWatch and now we can get it every week. The restock every week. That's their goal, anyway. But the more who buy it, the further they'll get behind... The Agent Orange, is just the opposite of Pluid... it's citrus on the inhale and licorice/anise on the exhale.

If Gov Regulation of the E-cig Makes it Expensive
Uma replied to Bebop's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Ohio and Rhode Island both have already vetoed bills to ban it from minors. Why? Because the politicians can't use the "kid card" if they pass that one simple straight forward bill. The politicians love playing the "kid card", make us Vapers look evil, so they can raise the taxes higher and higher.. But one of these days, the public will wake up and all the politics in the world ain't gonna save the politician's butts. In the meantime... Arm yourself with learning how to DIY your own juice, and perhaps your own mods. (there are tutorials everywhere online, just be safe!). Learn how to build an RBA and an RDA. (it's really simple once you get past the dreaded learning curve). Stockpile on nic and attys that rock your world. (T3S, Protanks, whatever). Learn how to stealth vape to the point that zero fog escapes at all. Buy stealth mods, pens, etc.. that are easy to sneak. They might ban it so they can raise their taxes and garner some mighty big FINES off us, the can't quit smoking for the life of us folks unless we are vaping. They can kiss my arse. ::: off to dig a survivalist shelter::: -
Apple is nice! Hang in there, each day is different until it settles in to where it wants to be.
