Any Long-Time Ex-Smokers That Have Started Vaping?
Mike replied to Jimbo's topic in New Vapers Forum
I used to smoke and vape and I then I lost interest in smoking. I quit without having to try very hard but I tried hard in the past and couldn't do it, even with chantix. Vaping made me want to smoke much less until I got to the point when I said it is now time never to buy cigarettes again. That was 3 years ago. In your case, I don't see any harm in it. Using an eCig and hanging out with the smokers can be a pleasurable activity. Just don't over do it by chain vaping all the time and what ever you do, don't go back to smoking! -
Clearos like Vision, T3 and Vivi Nova are easy to change flavors also. Just give them a quick rinse with water, shake them dry and fill em up. Some stronger flavors will might linger in it for a short while but it will quickly take on the new flavor.

Am I the only one that always carries 2 or more PV's so I can have a flavor choice? Probably not but just wondering how many other vapers are constantly switching from a few different favorite flavors like I do. I usually have one tobacco type flavor and one bakery type flavor at the least at any one time. If I had only one choice it kinda drives me nutty. Anyone else like this?

Welcome to vapor talk. I also quit smoking on December 30, 3 years ago, but I had been vaping a couple of months previous. I didn't want to make it a New Years resolution so I quit a full day before the New Year. I've tried everything in the past to quit and I smoked for 25+ years and if I can do it, anyone can do it so I think you're in good shape. It's a lot easier with the help of this forum.

Congrats! You will always feel good about not smoking and it gets better. Food will taste better, your clothes and car will smell better, the list goes on and on.

Sounds good. I can imagine what nutty cookie might taste like but how would you describe nightshift?

Some juice makers will get the viscosity just right by adding a little distilled water or pure grain alcohol in their all VG juice but it still tends to gum things up quicker.

This is true. The vivi nova uses the inner 510 threads and an adapter is not needed but the T2 clearo uses the eGo outer threads and you will need an adaptor. The original Vision clearos and the V3 also uses the outer threads so you should pick up one of these 510-eGo adapters for any mod you get that doesn't have it. It will come in handy.

This thread might be borderline on the rules of the forum so I'm shutting up now!!!

I would say that's probably pretty accurate although I don't smoke it but I like the aroma very much.

Another note: Halo's G6 is also sold under different names and you could probably get better deals on kits/batteries and empty cartos. I believe that a G6 is a second generation kr808 and goes under other names like VOLT and so on. These are a pretty decent type of ecig and you can try any juice in them but 100%vg mixes are the ones that could give you problems when it comes to wicking but some of them will work just fine also. With that said, your better of choosing a 50/50 mix or 70/30 or 80/20 pg/vg. Halo's e-liquids are a mix that they won't disclose but they will tell you that they are less than 50%vg.

Welcome to Vapor Talk. This is a very cool and laid-back forum. Lot's of good people with good info and a nice place to hang out. Make yourselves at home and post whatever is on your minds.

It doesn't matter where you are; the best place to find juice is online and have it mailed to you. It will usually arrive in a few days or less and there are countless reliable vendors.

Hello and Welcome. There are lots of folks here from Canada, A !?!

I got a 10ml of "Z weed" from Juicy Vapors. It had a familiar looking leaf in the description and on the bottle. I just had to see how closely they got the flavor. It tasted like pine, kind of like a Christmas tree. Not even close. I doubt you can get that flavor without using the real thing.

What kind of sweetener are you using? I'm not a sweetener expert but I use cotton candy or sucralose. Either one of these I would use at a very low % like 2 or 4%. I don't know what you're using but that could be what's giving you an undesirable flavor. I made some Black Tea from a flavoring I have but I don't recall the strength of it or how much I used. I do remember it tasting very much like a strong tea and that I couldn't get it to taste like a sweet tea. I've also heated up PG (about 50ml or so, enough to cover a teabag) and made my own tea flavoring. It came out pretty good but doing it this way does not make a super-concentrated flavor. I would need about 50% of this to make the juice. My brother took this idea and it is his main vape. I think my own flavoring is better than the one I bought. I was able to have a sweeter and better tasting tea this way for some reason. All I do is heat up the PG to about 150 degrees or so and put any kind of teabag in it for about 10 minutes and then squeeze it out. Much of the tea flavor is now in the PG but like I said, it's not very strong but it works great. Wish I knew a little better about how to sweeten something but I use cotton candy, marshmallow and sometimes suclarose but only small amounts. Too much of one of these will ruin everything. I do remember my store bought tea flavoring to be very strong so 5% is a good place to start but you might need more or less. First try to get the tea flavor strength right then slowly add something to sweeten it but start at 2%

Oldie Just Visiting - Hi! And Happy New Year!

Good to see you here Dave. I miss seeing that crazy looking bird. Stop in often! -
That's all good if it seems to help you. I have experienced cough relief just by not smoking but vitamin c is something that we all need whether we eat it, drink it or vape it.

Hey There. Just Joined And Fairly New To Vaping.

Welcome Deckyon. Mixing 2 or more store bought juices IS a form of DIY. Enjoy!!! -
A big glass of orange juice will give you more than the recommended dose of vitamin c for the day. Just like coffee or soda will give you caffeine(there was talk about caffeine in e-liquid). I only want flavor and some nicotine in my juice but that's just me.

Looking For A Good Tabacco Flaver
Mike replied to freecountry420's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
Don't think that there is one juice and only one juice that you will like. Just because you didn't change cigarette brands for years doesn't mean that's the way you will vape. Most of us have several favorites which are very different from each other. As far as tobacco flavors I would suggest trying Turkish blend, some type of cigar or pipe flavor, or something that describes a "real" tobacco flavor. Also try Winston, Camel or Mboro, these seem less flavorful but that's how a cigarette is. Don't be afraid to try a desert flavor or something totally different, this could be your evening vape. Your tastes will probably change from day to day or from morning to night and your find yourself craving a different flavor. This is how it is for a lot of us. I don't know how we all were satisfied with the same brand of butts for so long, Vaping is much different that way. -
I didn't even plan on staying up and celebrating but my friends talked me into it. Happy New Year to everybody here at VT.

I have now tried it and I know how it works: It works great!!!
