  1. I've noticed smells from many juices but only at close quarters. Nothing that smells like anologs though. The French Toast I had did have the strongest second hand smell that I noticed. There is a distinct smell(and taste) of maple syrup. watch out for maple flavorings as many of these contain maple sugar which is no good for the atty.
  2. I had one little thing to do taday and nothing seems to go right for me. I had a copper pipe to solder and make a house call and check on a couple of things for a friend. Wouldn't you know I can't find the solder. Then I run out of propane. Then the puppy does what puppies do all over my floor. One thing after another. What's a guy(or girl) to do when nothing goes right?
  3. I watched one last night with my wife, very freeky, could be possible in the future if you had an imagination. It's called SURROGATES. Just came out for rent. Some of the scenes were shot right here in Taunton, MA at the old Paul Dever school. There is another movie due to come out this year starring Leonardo DeCaprio that was also shot here in Taunton. At least some of the concentration camp scenes were shot at the Mill River factorys where I go dirt bike riding. I think the name of that movie is ASHE CLIFF it was shot before SURROGATES but has been delayed. A couple of towns over is Bridgewater where Tom Cruise shot a movie scene. They staged a plane crash in a field and set of an explosion that could be heard for miles. All this "Hollywood" stuff around here has only happened recently over the past couple of years and has been the talk of the towns. The Paul Dever school grounds used to be military camp of some kind during the world wars. Lot's of history here but if you ask a local they'll tell you Taunton is boring.
  4. I don't mind the smell of tobacco but I feel embarased for people who smell like an ashtray. We all smelled this way at times but I've noticed so much until now. As for the smell of vapor, I had just one comment. I was vaping French Toast and my buddy in the room said "What's that? I smell something." After I told him what it was he said "Put that away, it's making me hungry!"
  5. Lot's of good points made here. I wouldn't want to see a non-smoker take up vaping any more than to start smoking. I have alot of friends who smoke but the one's that don't I wouldn't tell them too. Same goes for vaping, I wouldn't recomend it to anyone unless they were already hooked on butts. I have one main reason I like it here and I said it on another thread. I have the oportunity to discuss anything, anytime, with some of the coolest people on the planet.
  6. Looks like you don't have to go to Mad Vapes for info, there's alot of info here! I got enough stuff at Radio Shack to make several of these for under $10. Be creative and be safe. You don't have to make an exact copy of what's out there, making your first one is a great feeling no matter what it looks like.
  7. I like what some say about the 801 and 901 but have no idea so I would use one or both of these and look into the RN40802 which I haven't even heard of until today. These should get me buy until I can make my own from scratch!
  8. I get inspiration from all types of music, there isn't much I don't don't like. I definately am a rock and roller though. Here is another feel good story about the best musician I ever watched play(and still do). My dad. He know how to play the guitar better than anyone I've ever seen. He knows every chord every scale. Every music note, etc. He loves Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed and a slew of people I don't even know who they are. He was in a rock band in the 50's and 60's called "Dimentions" and quit to have a familly(kind of like me when I played with "Local Anesthetic"). He is the one who had a 4 string banjo lying around and that's how I got a hold of it. He then bought two five string banjo's, one for me and one for himself. We no longer have banjo's but we both have guitars. I've also played flute in the 3rd grade. Never was good with Keys(Piano, Keyboard) but I think I read somewhere that Chris is.
  9. Thanks alot! I'm working hard on my own songs. Those songs were written by John Hendrickson and I like a lot of them too(he has about 100 songs). He has no problem letting me play guitar on some songs and him on bass but I want to play guitar on songs that I've wrote myself. I do enjoy playing bass and will continue to listen to all types of music.
  10. Bluegrass was the first music I played at age 5 on a 4 and 5 string banjo!
  11. That sounds great. I'd love to fiddle around with a fretless but never have. I've been playing bass for about 9 months now ever since I took the position with Nostragarlic, the band I'm currently in. I've owned a base for 15-20 years but never really played it until now. The transition from 6 string wasn't that hard but a totally diffeent mindset. I mostly play guitar at home and bass with the band. Do you play any other instruments? Good luck with your new bass.
  12. I've ordered from so many places I don't even know. I only knew about this for a short time. I did notice the "washer" inside a couple of them and I thought those might be genuine. I've done lots of tests with my brother and his meter and what I said is my opinion but all of my 14 or so 510 attys are very durable. I've only lost a couple. The only other I know about is whatever is in the 701 cigar which is large in size and still works since last November. I'd love to try the others but have no reason at this point. So I can't say "I vote for the 510" without trying others. I'd also like to add that I don't think it's right for suppliers to pass of SLB as Joye even though I have good luck with them.
  13. I would always get the best deal I could because they are so expensive. If I were to buy a pack at liquer store I would have to pay $8.00 here in MA. In RI even more. Some stores would have them for a little under $7. I would get them at BJ's wholsale club for $65 a carton. That was my weekly bill. I don't spend nearly as much now that I'm vaping. If I have a cupon code I will use it but don't really care because I'm already saving lots of $$$.
  14. I have lot's of experience with Janty 510, SLB 510, and whatever else I have. I noticed that the genuine joye/janty attys work the best at 3.7 but also work well at any voltage. The SLB work better for me at 5 and 6 volt and not as good at 3.7. I've put some of these to the test and really abused them with 7, 8, and even higher. I've burnt juices in less than 2 seconds and not killed them. I put a meter on one of my mods and it read 6.2 and I used it like that all day. I've since adjusted it to 5.4 and it works great and still has the same atty. All my mods are homemade and so is my PT which I run at 6. I definately like gold band attys when I'm using 3.7. One other thought is the other atty manufacturers are getting sloppy haveing a lot of orders come in after the Chinese new year. The last time I bought attys they were left over from before.
  15. They gave me gave me good service and replied to my questions after the fact. I thought the hand written note that came with my order was nice. They(I think it is a husband and wife team)informed me that they were right around the corner from me in Hyannis, Massachusetts. I don't remember what I ordered from them and I'd like to hear what others think.
  16. I need help with putting pictures and links up. I'm not all that good with computers. This clip is worth watching. Cut and Paste!http://www.coolestone.com/media/292/Robin_Williams_as_the_American_Flag/
  17. This guy is really funny and as he reminds us of the Symbol of our Great Nation. My link
  18. How 'bout a green front end loader with a bucket full of spare parts and juice bottles and vapor coming from................................the operator's cab?
  19. I didn't mention that a mistake was made on one of my orders. I was sent a 30ml bottle of Cool Rush(menthol)by mistake. I knew it wasn't my taste so I tried to email back but I was having computer problems and didn't know if it went through. On the 3rd day when my computer was fixed I had an email stating "I'll take care of that" when I checked my mail that same day there was a 30ml. bottle of Flu Cured in my mailbox. Thanks again, Rob...liquidxpress.com
  20. I want to begin by saying I know about some negative opinions about some of the suppiers out there. Everyone here seems to agree that other than the Vapor Talk store, Jason and Arno (ElectroNicSticks/Awesome Vapor) are the best when it comes to costomer service and overall saticfaction. I've personally used all of them multiple times and I think they are doing a great job. I can also say the same for all orders I have made related to vaping with other suppliers such as E-cigarette-usa, Word up, Vermont Vapor, Halo, Juicy Vapor, Totally Wicked, Liquid Express and the one I can't remember. I am one of the lucky ones who has never had a problem in any way shape or form. I've gotten every order in just a few days after placing them and costomer service has been excellent by all. I can't say I liked everyone's liquids but you never know unless you try. For those of you who have had problems don't forget that it's not easy to run a buisness and it can become very frustrating to the supplier as well as the customer... I remember now, The package came today from Parked at Dietsmokes. His red, white, gold and black attys are a perfect match for Sweet Dawn, Midnight and Dulcis thatI know will be here tomorrow. Use this thread for positive feedback only. I personally salute all suppliers I've delt with
  21. I got a high score on an IQ test when I was in 7th grade. All that did was get me into the highest level 8th grade class with all the Apple II computer geeks and teachers pets. I didn't like my classmates that year and won't take an IQ test again.
  22. I know I have 510 attys from differnt manufactures. The one with the "washer" inside has a different ohms reading. It may not perform as well as a genuine joye atty when used with a standard bat. But with 5 or more volts it works good. Mabey it may be better? last longer? when it is used at higher voltage. Besides it being SLB or otherwise not genuine Joye, why are they unliked? Are they generally unreliable or just because they're not as good? Do you think a Joye atty would last longer in a 5 volt mod?
  23. Snubber and NeRo9k have me very interested in the 901 atty. Does anyone know what is in the 701 cigar? It works well and seems to last forever. It was my first and I still use it.
  24. I like TH but I think I like flavor more. Never tried the 901 but I think I might check it out. Here's an idea; why not build a double barrel mod with a 510 atty and a 901 atty? Put Traditional Tobacco in the 510 and Dulcis in the 901 and You'll get Vapor Talk RY4 with a serious kick!
  25. This is what I do too, have 2 at the ready and alternate. It gives a little time for the liquid to wick and I can go back and forth several times on a couple of drops in each. Don't drip and drive unless your vehicle is stoped, it ain't worth it.
