Just had to put my Volts in a picture. These and the eGo are my everyday vape. Note the stealth cap and camo wrap and the diamond end cap on the black battery(blue led).

I'm not up to date with other battery manufactures and don't know which are reliable but I've heard bad luck stories with some. I've only used Joyetech and have not had a single one have a problem after months of use. The only reason I had to replace a couple of them in the last year is because I snapped them in half in my pocket while working construction. I've dropped them from second floor windows and they still work. I doubt the eGo batteries that are sold in the fleamarket could stand up to that. I wouldn't know about kGo but I know that Joytech stuff can take a serious beating and produce a saticfying vape, day in, day out.
-
I think they are the same thing. Before the tank came out they were just called eGo mega. Any battery that says eGo will work for anything that people use those batteries for. It's wise to make sure that it's a Joyetech because other companies make these batteries too and they say eGo but they are known not to last as long or like to break after a short time.

What Kind Of Music Are We All Into?
Mike replied to blucavvy's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
My kids used to watch Hanna Montana and Drake and Josh. I like some of thier songs. I like when my kids ask me to play a song from my era like "Goodbye to Romance" or "Rainbow in the Dark". But it scares me when I catch them listening to Pink. Great music but that chick isn't very appropriate for 10 year olds. -

Hi. fb. It's good to have you here. It took me a couple of months to quit smoking but that was before I found this place.

Nostragarlic update: John hosts open mic every Monday at Steve's Backstage pass and continues to write and perform his songs. The flood of 2010 delayed the release of his album. This is one of the last songs recorded there. I'm on the bass track but not shown on this vid.

I'm surprised that it would happen there. I thought they had a simalar mentality as New Hamphire"s Live free or Die. Last I knew there were no helmet laws or seatbelt laws, they didn't even have building codes when a buddy of mine buit a house up there. Go figure.

Anyone remember this thread? Well, the bad boys from Taunton are gearing up for a summer of concerts starting in Cape Cod, MA on July 4th (private party but you are invited). After that, who knows but one thing's for sure, we're gonna make some noise this year. The band I found myself in is called Deception and they've been around for a while and have originals and we play covers of Alice in Chains, Colective Soul, Red Hot Chile Peppers, Puddle of Mud, Bush. Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots and lots of other things that you wouldn't expect 40 to 50 year olds to play(I'm the youngest band member). As for the Vapor Talk song, quite frankly it really sucks but I'm still working on a way to put it in even if I have to totally re-write it. If you can't make it to beautiful New England this summer I'll be sure to post a vid and who knows, mabey we'll tour the country and we'll come to you! Vape on, Rock steady.

I found this in my mailbox: To our wonderful customers, past and present: Whether you are still a Vermont Vapor customer or not, if you still use an e-cigarette, please take note of this email. There is an unfortunate development in the U.S. state of Vermont. The Vermont Human Services Committee is holding a hearing March 14, 2012 (this Wednesday) at 10:45AM to take testimony on a bill - H.747 @ http://www.leg.state.vt.us/database/status/summary.cfm?Bill=H.0747&Session=2012 – that would not only effectively shut down Vermont Vapor, but would ban all e-cig / etc. shipments within, into, and out of Vermont. One or more people from Vermont Vapor plan to attend and we urge others to contact the Human Services committee members (info below) to express your opposition. Also, Vermont residents should consider attending or, if that isn't possible, make sure to highlight that you are a Vermont resident in any emails you send or calls you make. This bill would harm every e-cig user, not just this company. Whether you are a Vermont resident or even a Vermont Vapor customer, if this bill passes in Vermont, it will provide a blueprint for other states to do the same and must be stopped. Sincerely yours, Adam -- Adam Tredwell, President Vermont Vapor, Inc. http://www.vtvapor.com/ 20 West Street Fair Haven, Vermont Cell: 802.345.9550 Office: 802.779-0185 Fax: 802.779-0186

I agree with you both. Especially what mega said about adding a bit more of a different tobacco flavor. 555 and other "traditional" tobacco flavors don't have the actual tobacco flavor I crave. Funny How I have a differnt view on tobacco flavors now that I haven't vaped them in so long. The only problem is the only flavor I have now is 555.

That's what I'm talking about. I've been waiting a long time for a 901 and I just found out about this 306. I'll have to get both of them. And I'll have to get an adaptor for the 901 or a big battery for it, and more drip tips.... Damn, I've been ordering alot of stuff lately!!

Congrats to you for not smoking. About the eGo, if it is creating a decent vapor and seems to be working properly then mabey that's not the juice for you. I can't imagine that you got bad juice but anything can happen, I suppose. I don't think 24mg is too much for you especially if you smoked a pack a day or more. 16 or 18 would also do the trick. Harsh throught hit and a good strong TH are two differnt things. higher nic will give a better TH but not neccesarally a harsh one. Other properties of a juice can give a harsh TH such as too much alcohol or certain flavor ingredients. Most of us here want a strong TH but if you are getting an unpleasant one then something must be wrong. If you are getting a good plume of vapor the eGo is probably working good. If you get a headache you might want to stop. You don't want to take in too much nicotine. As far a cig-brand flavors. None of them actually taste like a cigarette but there are plenty of good tobacco flavors that IMO taste better. Marlboro, Winston, Camel, Hilton, are all very simalar and they vary from suplier so do 555, ry4, turkish tobacco, flue cured etc. You will stumble accross one you like more than others in time but ANY of these should be OK and not extremely harsh at any mg. level.

Short Reviews On Several Atomizers And Cartomizers
Mike replied to twelveday's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
Volt Cartos These work surprisingly good. They match up perfectly with the small Volt batteries. They hold enough juice to last longer than I expected and the vapor and TH have been consistant after many refills. The flavor quality is another story. Much like other similar cartos I've tried. It puts a slight overtone of "carto" taste to the juice which in some flavors is worse than others. I don't mind at all with some flavors and it's not anything disgusting or very noticable but it's always there with these kind of cartos. Having said all that, I like the Volt and have been using it every day since I've got it. I've been giving them as much use as any other PV I have. Kinda feels like I'm cheating (smoking anologs) when I use it because it brings back memories of how I used to hold and drag off of a cigarette. -
Hey Mega, I got some 555 from the Vapor Room and it's pretty good but what kind of mad science do you think I could do to it to wake it up some? I don't know if there are certain flavors that go with 555 better than others, thought you might.

Nice review. I like how you're not embarased to say you had a noob moment, lol. I'm alot like you with the 510's. I never tried a 901 or any other drip attys but I will get to them eventualy. I might get to the 306 first because I like what you said about it and my Mark's mod needs a fresh one.

The eGo C can be a great ecig when it works properly and it usually does but there are lots of things that can go wrong and it's not the perfect ecig. There are no perfect ecigs imo but I have to say that I do like the tank. I know how to make it work for me because I used the first tank eGo for many months and had very little problems with it. The eGo C is almost the same but more complicated in a way. If you read the thread in "help it broke" you'll see what I mean. Seems like it's a lot more complicated than it is but It really isn't. It is enough that I wouldn't talk people into it. Even though I like it a lot and would never get rid of it. I might put a drip tip on it and direct drip sometimes and I might get on of those elegance clearomisers and try that out but I won't stop using the tank. It works great for me.

One other thing I want to add about juice not wicking from the tank. When you puncture the tank there is a small round flap that stays connected to the inside of the tank cap. I sometimes take that off because if the tank is rotated in a certain position it could restrict juice flow. I always line up the tank with the button but when I put it in the first time I line it up perpendicular to the button to puncture it and then rotate it 90 degrees. I haven't had an issue with this if I remove the tiny flap or not but this is what I've heard and I can see how it could make a difference.

It takes a few puffs or more(up to a tank-full) before a new atty is broken in and the flavor tastes like it should. I like to drip 2 drops in on a new atty before I put the tank in. This helps it not be so nasty on the break in period. If it is still harsh and nasty after a while you may have wicking problems with that atty. If so take out the tank and drip 2-3 drops in. Put the tank back in and try it. If it is good for a couple puffs and then gets harsh again that means it is not wicking properly and you might want to try a different atty but save that one because it can be fixed. I would never stick anything inside the spike tube because there is a tiny metalic wick inside that when compressed will surely screw things up. Also it could push something into the coil wire which could break it completely.

Here's a change of pace. My version of a recipe I looked up. The original version used LorAnn Banana Cream while I used CK Banana and LorAnn Marshmallow. I also used some VG, about 25%, because I like lots of vapor. Juicy Fruit Gum 1.5ml pg with nic(60mg) .7ml pg 1.3ml vg .5ml LA Bubble Gum .75ml CK Banana .25ml LA Marshmallow Makes 5ml / 18mg/ml Notes: I was very accurate with my measurements and after a quick vape I think that I've got another winner. I'm gonna let it steep and come back to it later. The TH was very strong with this one and I'm not sure why. Banana helps the bubble gum flavor without it tasing like imitation banana.

I had a couple attys that were a little clogged and not producing as much vapor. maveric said: Quote Dry burn it. Take a small utensil (I use a laptop repair tiny screwdriver) and pry the spike from the atty body. Insert body back onto holding cup and place cone as usual. Hit the buttton for 3-5 seconds and watch for the smoke. Blow the smoke away, repeat until you see the red glow all across the coil. You will now have grey ash on the coil which is the burned away VG juice residue. I use a trimmed back flux brush (.50 at local hardware) to brush away the residue. Atty will come back to life and is now good to go. VG juice and sugary flavors are hard on the Ego C. I have great luck with my one and only menthol, as it burns real clean. PG juices tend to ignite quicker and atty will last longer between dry burns. Atty eraser is an absolute must for me and the Ego C. Don't even bother with atties anymore and test all juices through the C tank. I have one tank filled with atty eraser and run it following dry burns and flavor changes. ** this worked great at the atty was better and hotter and cleaner than ever BUT I had wicking problems after I put it back together. A tiny metal wick sits in the spike tube and I think because it was lost was the reason for wicking problems. Or mabey because of the wicking material around the coil was removed. Don't Know, Don't care. It's a great dripping atty. Like I said before, You don't have to do this to drip. You can leave it as is and drip into it whenever and go back the the tank anytime you want. I don't see the need for "atty eraser". Even with alot of flavor changes the old flavor seems to fade quickly. I do think that VG juice is harder for the C to wick when using the tank.

It works great. Just like dripping in anything else. The drips will find it's way down to the heating coil through the spaces that the vapor would come out if the tank were in or it will go into the spike tube. No matter how you drip into it the juice will reach the coil. I have a couple attys that I removed the spike and the metal wick fell out. It won't wick properly without that when the tank is in. Now I've got use out of those attys. Don't get me wrong, I like the tank and use it all the time but It having a drip tip makes it much easier when I'm DIYing with so many different flavors and such. Also with the spike removed and all wicking material out I can go from flavor to flavor with very little remnace of the old flavor.

I picked this up from Indy Vapor Shop. They also have LR heating coils. Coupon code: vfforum . 5 Attys and drip tip for $29.96 shipping included. There's no need to tamper with the attys to use this drip tip. It comes in handy when you don't want to fill a tank. Type A is what you want for eGo C.
