As you know there are a number of flavor makers and depending on which flavor and who makes it determines how strong it might be and the actual taste in the end. I can generalize and say that most Lorann candy flavorings are quite strong and need about 10%-15% and Flavourart tobacco flavors are even stronger needing only 2%-6% etc. There are always exceptions so I'd like to discuss what we have learned about any or all specific flavors that we have experimented with so we can all learn more about them. I'll go first. Cookies n Cream by BlueMist DIY Flavoring-- vanilla ice cream with a slight "Oreo" cookie chocolate. Very tasty on it's own. Never tried to add anything to it. Can use 25%, more or less, for a great tasting vape with no perfumy taste. Graham Cracker by Capella and Tobacco Regular by Flavor West--1st time I've used either of these so I took a shot in the dark and used 10% each in the same mix. I did good. I have a nice graham cracker tobacco now. I actually can't remember if I used less of the tobacco flavor or not but the total flavor % was 20%. Cuban Supreme by FlavorArt-- A good base for a cigar flavor. Tastes like an expensive cigar but I like to add things such as marshmallow, bavarian cream, English toffee and/or chocolate. All you need is 2%-6% of Cuban Supreme flavor. Artificial Apple by CK Products--This smells and tastes like freshly sliced green apples with a slight apple candy flavor. 15% is plenty, probably less.

You really cant beat the price for what you get. A kit with 2 1000 mah batteries and a charger and cones and a couple of attys for what? $45 right? The batteries alone are worth that IMO. Now you have what it takes to try any compatible drip atty, carto, clearomiser or tank system that you choose. I don't hate kgo, I just like my ego better because it's like an old friend and I like the hard, clicky button better and the regulated battery even thought the kgo battery is not regulated and puts out slightly more voltage, I couldn't notice any difference. I actually have 4 close friends/family members who all have kgo's and so far so good. I would recommend this to anyone but just like any ecig kit you're gonna want to grab different attys and such that doesn't come with it. Oops, my mistake. kgo's have 1100 mah batteries.

Hello RG, Welcome to VT.

I didn't realize there were so many. I picked up one from one place and one from another and they are identical from what I can tell. They are not bridgeless and I have no idea what manufacturer. One came with a drip tip the other did not. I've been using the first one for a month now with great results and the other I only tested out for a short time and put it away for later.

I'll drink to that.

One last comment about eGo C. I can't say I'd recommend this type of delivery system but the ego tank system in general has kept me satisfied for a long time now and I have more recently purchased booge cartos, vision clearos, attys of every resistance, VV mod, dual coil clearos and tried them all with different juice mixes etc. and I can dial in my ProVari to make any of these things work to the best of there potential but I always go back to eGo c because it works for me and when I want that extra good flavor and vapor I use the ego with the lr306 drip atty but most of the time the ego tank works almost as well without the need to drip. Just pull it out of your pocket and hit the button, it's very consistent. The down sides are that it sometimes can't keep up with a heavy vaper and the attys can get "fouled" easier than other attys, both problems have a lot to do with the type of e-liquid that are being used. I do like the draw better than the Visions and I seem to get as much if not better vapor and flavor with ego c than any other clearo or carto so I'm sticking with it but I will use my other toys too and keep an eye out for other systems.

This has been my experience also. The ego C is not meant for dripping but it does work and there are ways to eliminate or at least minimize the leaking and dry hit issues. The atty is like a cup and when you drip into some liquid may fall to the outside of it and it can't get back in. Removing the spike tube will help the juice not fall to the outside and there are other McGyver ways to make a good drip atty out of it but I only do this to old attys that loose flavor because I take them apart and dry burn them and clean them and they work great again but with all the wicking material gone and the spike tube wick no longer good I leave it all out and drip on it. I'm happy with a fresh lr ego c atty and tank for a couple of weeks but sooner or later the flavor and sometimes the vapor taper off. Doing this I can get about 200% more life out of an atty with even better vapor and flavor than when it was new. Or you can just toss it and use a fresh one with the tank. Flavor and vapor are pretty darn good when used like recomended but if you want the best dripping experience with your eGo get yourself a lr306 atty with a drip tip. The 306 have a special drip tip made just for them and those attys last a long time and flavor/th/vapor from a lr306 with an ego type battery doesn't get much better from any delivery system on any battery or mod of any kind. IMO the only thing that comes close is standard resistant drip attys on a higher voltage mod.

There's one called Woo by smok and it's not talked about much, at least not here, but by brother has one and he loves it. It has a ego threading and takes 2 batteries and is regulated at either 4.8 or 5v and is only $25 without the batteries or $60 for a complete kit with 4 batteries, charger, juice and other stuff. I don't have a link and not sure where he got it but it might have been clouds of vapor. He only paid $25 because he already had batteries but I don't know if you can still get this deal.
-
When you direct drip what kind of atty do you use? I have a drip tip for ego c and can just put that in place of the tank-cart but I haven't used it in a while because I usually use a lr306 for dripping but this comes in handy for c attys that don't wick well or ones that are de-wicked and setup for dripping. I can get a lot of extra life out of an atty doing this and an old atty cleans up nice and is very usable for a long time. I also like Vision clearomisers but a eGo C setup(or a Volt e-cig) is my first choice when dripping is inconvenient. I seem to get better vapor and flavor from eGo C but so many others swear by Vision clearos. C attys with a tank and Vision clearomisers are the next best thing to dripping IMO but there are new things coming out all the time and I haven't tried everything either. My brother made a homemade atty that stays submerged in eliquid that has potential and there are other delivery methods that might prove to be great.

Any Of You Volt Lovers Check These Out?
Mike replied to blucavvy's topic in General Vaping Discussion
The whole reason I got a Volt is for a small battery but this could appeal to me if I decide to have a dedicated lr901 dripper or something like that. -
Searching For A Blue Raspberry Flavoring

In your quest to create a blue rasbery flavor you might accidentally create something that is even more tasty and noteworthy. If this happens let us know and post a recipe! -
Any Movie/show Watchers Out There?

I took my twins and my nephews to see The Three Stooges last night and yes I did stealth vape, nyook, nyook, nyook, Oh a wise guy! -
I think they are among the best vapor and flavor producers too. I've been using them more often than the clearomisers I have. That is why I'm bumbed about loosing a complete eGo C the other day at work. I think I dropped it outside at my boss' house. I haven't lost hope on it, I'll continue to look for it and hopefully it shows up.

I now can remember times when an old wet atty wouldn't fire right away and I held the button in for 3 seconds and listened. Nothing. Pressed it again for 3 seconds and listened, nothing. Pressed it again and listened, Snap, Crackle, Pop, It worked fine after that.
-
That shouldn't be a problem. When you put in a new atty or an old one just make sure there isn't any juice all over all the parts. Wipe everything clean and put it together and there is no reason why it shouldn't work. Even if it is wet or dirty it still should work but it's good practice to do that. If it doesn't work take it apart and do it again. It might not be sitting right in the base or something, other than that I'm stumped. BTW You can change flavors on the same atty if they are not drastically different or extremely strong. Those attys go from flavor to flavor quite well. I will pop the tank cart of and tailpipe a couple of toots to vape off much of the old flavor and then put a tank of a different flavor in and the new flavor will take in a few more toots.
-
Yes, just push it back together. This happens to me all the time. If you put enough "snapping" force to the battery the factory seal will loosen and it will separate. I've had them completely separate to the point where they were only connected by 2 little wires and they still work as long as the wires are still conected. Just press the parts back together and you're good to go. I've tried super glue and gorilla glue but it sometimes still happens because when you accidentally apply alot of sideways force something has to give. I've lost a few betteries this way because the wire conections broke after it separated but I am extremely rough with them at work and this only happens when I crush them by accident when they are in my pocket.

Who Offers The Best In Flavors, In Your Opinion?
Mike replied to Dejavu's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Sounds good Bam. I'll give that a try. Just waiting on some more nic. I usually do the warm water bath also as I believe it brings the ingredients together faster and reduces steep time. This is a good tip for premaid juices that are made to order and they are delivered quickly. They are usually steeped long enough in the mail but this wouldn't hurt. Thanks for the tips. -

I want a good recipe that uses a lot of vg and fruit. Is 60% VG as high as you would go or do you go even higher. Do you thin it at all with anything? I get plenty of vapor with much less vg so I never experimented with a lot. I was thinking that pg was better for flavor and less steep time so that's why I don't use much vg but I would like to whip up a batch of that Strawbery Custard that you are talking about and with a lot of vg just to see for myself. -
This is true about not tasting like cigarette smoke but there are ways of getting a realistic cigar or pipe tobacco flavor. These are the tobacco flavors I'm interested in and there are many variations such as sweet, dry or with fruity flavors added.
-
I have 3 of those flavors and also Cuban Supreme, Cumarin Pipe, Perique Black and Regular Tobacco to name a few more. Perique Black has a smokey burnt wood taste and Cumarin Pipe has a real nice pipe flavor and isn't as concentrated as all the others. There are so many combinations of these flavors to get different tobacco base flavors and then you can add non-tobacco flavors to it. The possibilities are endless and I've only scratched the surface so far but I like Cumarin Pipe on it's own and Cuban Supreme with marshmallow, chocolate and Bavarian Cream.

Welcome tica. Congrats on deciding not to smoke any more of those smelly sticks.

It would depend on the mod. The one I have(ProVari) is "smart" like that. It blinks slowly at first but lets you continue vape but it shuts itself down at a certain point. I can also tell you that Joye eGo batteries can be run dead or halfway or anywhere in between and charged whenever you feel like it with no ill effects. I've even left them on a charger for 2 days(by accident) and no explosion or decreased life. Well over 100 cycles and the button and ability to hold a charge is like the day it was purchased.
-
There has been an explosion of kgo sales recently and the 3 charger problems caught my attention because they all happened within a very short time of each other. I still think there's something up with thier chargers and batteries to make them not friendly with Joyetech. This technology is probably the reason for the problems that are happening. I have 3 close friends who have been vaping kgo's for a couple of months now and have no problems at all except for those crappy slb attys. Joytech doesn't pay me to endorse thier product or to put down their competition but I've tried a lot of Chinese products and by far Joye is the best all around. It's no wonder why everybody else wants to copy an eGo.

That sounds like Bella Velencia or something like that from Halo. I did a review on that a long time ago. It does taste like a strong cigar and it has a very realistic flavor. I was blown away by that one and Torque 56 and a couple others from them but Tribeca was not one of my favs. I've always said that Halo has it going on when it comes to making quality liquids.
