  1. I'd. like to know what type and resistence of atty people are using to vape at 6 volts or anything over 4.8v. I only. go to 5v when I drip on a st. res 510 and I haven't used this setup much lateley. I usually use 2.2ohm clearos at 4.2v or the lr. ones at as low as 3.2v.
  2. I'm not a chemist, I just pretend to be one whenever I DIY but I see no harm in certain artificial or natural flavors and definitely not in PG or VG either. If those organic juices taste good to you that's great but don't buy them thinking they are healthier or have other benefits because IMO they don't.
  3. why can't PG be 100% organic? PG is not a synthetic compound is it? It is a type of universal solvent much like water. At least that's how I think of it.
  4. I found a great French Pipe flavor. RTS Vapes has some imported Chinese tobacco flavoring. I only tried the French Pipe and it is tasty. No need to add any complimentary flavors but cinnamon bun and/or waffle go well with it. 6% French Pipe flavor 25% VG PG with nic to make 18mg/ml Great flavor, TH and plumes of vapor.
  5. I take an educated guess on the flavor percentage. Usually up to 20% on non-tobacco flavors or I start at 5% on tobacco flavors or very strong flavors like clove or lemon etc. Then mix up a small amount, about 3 - 5 mls. trying to be accurate with my measurements so if I nail it I can recreate it in larger quantities. A couple drops on a drip atty works the best and if it isn't brand new and has an old flavor on it then keep vaping until the old flavor disappears and you'll get the flavor you just created eventually. Then just go from there. You might want to add more flavor next time, or less, or you might not like it at all etc. It's mostly common sense and your taste buds will tell you what is good.
  6. That V2 is definitely cool looking. It has real blue led numbers, the one I have is only back-lit with blue led light. As far as watts and voltage go, I'm not power-hungry. My PV's are usually set between 3.6 and 4.4. Whatever the watts is, is good enough for me whether I'm using a ProVari, Twist C, or this new thing I got.
  7. Nice day today for some 2 wheel fun. ....couldn't get the vid to load
  8. This has a 650mah battery and can be used as a true pass-through using a 2 amp charger.(2.5 amp max). It features a blue led screen with battery level, volt setting and toot counter. 2 button, up and down, volt selector near screen, 3v-6v in .1v increments. eGo threading and a familiar eGo fire button. USB to mini USB cable for charging or PT. Threaded end cap screws off for use as a PT or to charge. Had it less than a day but I like it a lot already. The blue led reminds me of my ProVari and so does its performance. The puff counter is a nice feature also. I picked this up at this place -->http://www.free-cigs.com/Ego-Pass-through-VV-Stainless-Steel_p_126.html
  9. I like to change flavors a lot and I used to change nic levels too. I would vape 24mg at times when I couldn't vape very often and 18mg when I can. Now I only vape at 18 but I think I might cut that in half or try 12mg again. I seem to get a real strong TH on all my DIY and store bought juices that are all at about 18mg. Sometimes I think that I get too much of a TH but at the same time I think that 12mg or less might not be enough nicotine for me.
  10. Those beat the mods I made way back when, I should have made something nice out of wood, after all I am a carpenter. Nice job and welcome to Vapor Talk.
  11. There is a ban of e-cigs in public buildings and work places in my city. Vaping is not very popular around here(Massachusetts) and the laws vary from county to county, set in place by the board of health. No one seems to know what the rules are and it isn't much of an issue, I vape everywhere and I don't get asked not to but I do it discretely. I'm not against these laws because it's not very fair to smokers to let people vape where they can't smoke...even though we can get away with it. ha ha, lol.
  12. So I decided to grab a couple of Dekang juices for a memory jog. I ordered "Cigar" and "Vanilla" and Brian threw in some "3&5"(555). The cigar is a really good flavor and is very tobacco-like. The vanilla sucks and it is what I expected but I got it to DIY with. It was a nice surprise to receive that 3&5. I used to vape a lot of this stuff back in the beginning. I've read where vapers describe it as a nutty cigarette type of tobacco flavor. That's not exactly how I would describe it but then again, I have a hard time trying to describe certain flavors. It does have a pleasant tobacco flavor that is not too strong or sweet and it is very popular. The cigar flavor I got has some similarities and a more pronounced tobacco flavor. I like both of these a lot. They both have some kind of "outdoors" taste like that of a swamp(not in a bad way, the kind of a swamp that you'd want to splash in). These juices sure did bring back some memories and if you are hesitant of buying Chinese e-liquid, don't be. These e-liquids are consistently well made and steeped to perfection by the time you get them. The PG/VG ratio of the juice that Brian carries is perfect for me and might be perfect for you as well. Special Thanx to TheVaporVeteran.com
  13. I like the Vision V3 for the smaller size and great shape/look. Sweet-Vapes has these. I like the T2 from thevaporveteran because of the easier draw and they hold more juice. I think the replacement coils are cheaper for the T2 and if you buy 10 or more they are even cheaper, $2 a piece. They both work well but I prefer the T2 for several reasons. They are also called eGo CC cleoromisers (changeable coil). One complete clearo is under $5 and a few extra coils will last you a long time. The Visions may be slightly more but they are a good choice also.
  14. Take a drag of a traditional cigarette and blow the smoke through a tissue or cloth. Now try the same thing with vapor from an e-cig. This simple experiment will give you some idea how nasty tobacco smoke really is and how much you really shouldn't worry about e-cig vapor.
  15. Welcome to Vapor Talk!
  16. Got some more flavors and nic. on the way from RTS Vapes, A couple of T2's and some Dekang juice from theveteranvaper, and a new VV eGo type PT/battery from somewhere else. It's been a long time since I ordered anything so I don't think this is too much.
  17. I use 2.2ohm coils with the T2 on the twist battery with no issues. I keep the voltage low, at 4v or less. Any more and it gets harsh and looses flavor. I don't think it has anything to do with the air coming in. Actually, I like the easy draw much better than the tighter one on the Vision. One problem I've had with both the V3 and the T2 is separation at either end of the glass. More so with the T2 but the newest one I have is new and improved and this hasn't happened yet and I've been using it for weeks.
  18. I believe there are several of these type of PV's now and I'd like to know more about them. Please write a review if you pick up something like this.
  19. I certainly hope that he gets well... and makes more Boba's.
  20. An electronic hookah is a definite possibility. I'm not sure how a real hookah is supposed to work but I imagine it is something like a water bong. My brother and I were messing around with homemade attys and he came up with the idea of having this atty completely submerged in liquid. When I or more persons draw in, air comes through a tube and bubbles through the e-liquid and past the atty, etc. Having a coil completely submerged in liquid and getting it to work this way could be something that will come out soon and I want you to know that it is nothing new. We made this thing a year ago and lost interest(we are not the guys who are interested in inventing mods for mass production). Also it doesn't have to bubble past the atty. Low pressure above the submerged atty with certain other requirements will make this work very well and vapor production is the best possible and you'll never have a dry hit again. I can see a design for this in my head for a practical device and I'm surprised that I haven't seen something like it yet. But when you do, remember, I told you so and it was the idea of my brother and myself.
  21. So, it's been a long time since I had Boba's. Does anyone know when it will be back in stock and why would there be this kind of delay on a popular juice? BTW, the flavors that jump out for me is HONEY, SWEET BEER, TURKISH TOBACCO and some kind of VANILLA or other SWEET CREAM. I'm not one to say that it tastes much like graham cracker.
  22. That thing is enough to power your fridge, TV, some lights and all your battery chargers. OR you could use full power to a custom ultra-high resistance atty and give new meaning to vapor production and throat hit.
  23. Damn you mcquinn for making me think!!!
  24. Hmmm. I never knew the true definition of a "Mod". I think that it is something that doesn't look like a cig-type, pen-type or eGo.
  25. lol, I remember that. What was that guy's name? Parked or something? What happened to him?
