If you do decide to go with a 510, do yourself a favor, and get the manual batteries. They are sealed, unlike the auto batts, keeping your juice from running into them and ruining them. And trust me... you WILL leak from time to time! They also allow you to take longer drags... allowing you to get more vapor, etc.
-
You should seriously do the 510 then... it's tried and tested! As you have already seen... many people here recommend it to firs time users. It's pretty easy to use and is a fairly reliable unit. The only downfall really is the battery life... so that's something you would need to get a routine with. You just need to always have a charge one waiting in the wings.

Sorry, but I'm going to stick with what I said in the other thread... and I know you don't think it's something that you would like. But it's just my opinion now that I've been right where you are and thought the same exact way. http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/featured-products/wicked-tornado-e-ni-or-electronic-2-product.html ... or the eGo, it's one in the same... just a different name. They are alot smaller than one might think too... I was seriously shocked when I firs got mine. It's just such a beautiful looking unit... so much so that you would take it out wherever you go and not be afraid to do so! I'm sorry... I'm just trying to save you time and money here by telling you what will happen. We've all been in your shoes and have done the same type of thing. I swore that if anyone ever asked my opinion on what e-cig to get... that I would tell them the eGo/Tornado, 100%! But you need to get what you want... not what everyone tells you I suppose.
-
I agree 100% with that statement!! Well... I guess the only part that is different for me is that I prefer them at 4.75 volts! It's seriously ALL I use at this time... except for an occasional vape session with my Tornado and a LR atty. LOL.
-
THAT is a beautiful knife !! Amazing craftsmanship!
-
I even put the trusty multi-meter to the batts to make sure that wasn't it. Everything was fine... so maybe it was the atty(s) that I tried. Maybe they needed "broke in" longer... or something. Either way... I have totally gone to cartos anyway!! Even though I still top them off every 10-15 drags... the flavor is so much better than any atty out there! Nothing like a good, topped off carto at 4.7 volts!!

What Kind Of Atomizers Are Used For High Voltage?
DAYVAPE replied to Popsicle's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
Why do you need them on your pass-thru anyway? Is it a 6 volt PT or something?? -
So true! I kinda forget about this ban thing! That would just suck for us really bad!
-
Man, those are sweet looking! But $160 - $300 though?? At that price they should definately have some way to select more than just the 2 voltages. No thank you. LOL! I love this statement. E-Liquid: 15 ml bottle (about 300 drops - roughly 1 drop per cigarette with 3.7 volt unit) - $9.95 I'm pretty sure I don't get an entire analog worth with 1 drop!
-
I brought this up in another thread I had started... But, I definately don't "enjoy" 3.7 w/ LR anymore... it just doesn't compare to HV vaping to me. The other day I has switched to my Tornado w/ LR atty on it and I thought something wasn't working right for a minute. Then realized that it was the difference when going from 5v to LR atty. So, my Tornado has become my main backup device!
-
It's definately different IMHO. I've never tried 6 volts... that just seems like it would be a bit much for my liking... especially knowing how fond I am of 4.7-5.0 on mine. Everyone likes different settings... which is why I suggest you look into getting something with variable voltage, or at least something that has more than one setting.
-
THANK YOU! LOL!
-
For me... I totally prefer the curved ones over the straight ones for some reason. And I can't stand the feeling of metal in my mouth... gives me the willys! I have a couple stainless T-tips that I use from time to time. I can't wait to get these new ones... any day now!
-
I don't know... I have a TON of backups! It's almost rediculous, and even a little sad, leaving all these like new mods/attys/batts hidden away all alone in a dark drawer. I mean, I could fully setup probably 10 different people... they wouldn't need a thing! I suppose the minute my Buzz breaks down I would still be a happy vaper... so I'll sit on the stuff!

Crazy stuff right there! And I have no doubt that we are in for a wild ride! -
That's not really sick... that's just downright funny!!!
-
I will go ahead and guess that it will look like that of a small box. I kept getting flashbacks of Nuck's Fist Pack while the vid was running.
-
I'm just happy to know that I'm not the only one that felt this way. I was beginning to wonder just how CRAZY I was!! And, I totally agree with what some of you have said... the eGo is much more stealthy, etc. while at work. I'm sure I would be doing the same thing if I had to be careful. BUT THAT'S NOT THE CASE FOR ME!
-
Oh wow... so you really are going to enjoy your drip tips!! Those are, in my opinion, one of the best inventions yet introduced into the world of vaping!
-
Just as I figured... man, it should be a crime to let all the gear I have just sit around and collect dust in the drawer! Oh well. I see a nice PIF "gift basket" taking shape one of these days! Seriously though... I don't think I could fullfill my vaping needs with this little crapper! LOL.
-
So it's been quite a long while since I've used ANY 3.7 volt device! Evidently it's been a really long time... because I thought I'd throw a brand new LR atty on my Tornado and chill with it for a while here at work. Well, I can safely say that the LR atty/Tornado combo is a complete let down after using my Buzz and other 5v mods for a long time. I still get decent vapor production, etc. with it, but as a whole it just doesn't even come close to what I have obviously gotten used to lately! I definately wouldn't be able to say that it's close to vaping at 5 volts. I remember how much I disliked having to take such long/slow drags to get anything out of it. And, I noticed right off, how much cooler the vapor was vs. the HV mods. Don't get me wrong... I'm not going to ditch my Tornado gear because of this observation! These still make excellent backups!! And my goodness... I forgot just how blazing hot these attys got until just a second ago! Is this a common reaction when switching from HV back down to said combo??
-
OH YEAH! That was one of my favorites!!
-
I actually do alot of DIY too... but I do things with the "eyeball method"... and make a small bottle first to taste/tweak to my liking, then I can make whatever size I want after I know what goes in it. This will sound crazy I'm sure... but I find myself mixing together the stuff I buy from different vendors to come up with some hybrid flavor. Let me just say... I end up with alot of amazing tasting stuff using this method. Anyway... sorry, but this cat has no recipies to share with anyone!! Maybe I will soon... I actually have/use nic base, flavoring, PG/VG, etc.
-
Keep in mind... once you do remove the wick/bridge from the atty you will never be able to use it with a cart. It also takes a pretty steady hand when trying to do it. I have done it to multiple attys... some it helped tremedously, others it made worse. I wouldn't even do it unless you have an atty that isn't working properly... then what is there to lose??
