Well... I guess it could have been much worse!

What was the nic strength on the juice? That can sure make a big difference in how bad it hurts!

Low Resistance Cartomizers And The Ego
DAYVAPE replied to bobthesalesclerk's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I'm currently using The Buzz for variable voltage. You also need to understand something... the mah rating of a battery has NOTHING to do with "kicking butt on your eGo"!! It doesn't mean how powerful the battery is. All it means is how long your battery will last... the "battery lifetime" thing I'm sure you've seen talked about. -
And to answer the one question you had... 510 cartos will work much better on the eGo, IMO. If I were you... I would go with a Med. Resistance carto and see how you like that. The standard ones work... you just have to make sure you do the long/slow/steady drags each time. I like to give mine a go when I need to vape! Glad you like it thus far!

If not "stockpiling"... maybe just a nice little "stash". I ordered a carton of 50 cartos today! It could honestly just all be bad for us when we wake up one morning! Sux to even think what might happen...

I'm not so sure there ARE any good ones!!

Air Force Bans Electronic Cigarettes From The Workplace
DAYVAPE replied to Brian's topic in General Vape News
Hey, I resemble those remarks!! I never have understood why everyone has to "stealth vape"... that's just rediculous! I MIGHT think of doing it... IF IT WERE ILLEGAL!! Thanks Snubbs!! -
Yep...under "Buying and Selling". My link

I actually have some of these: Cartos They are lower ohm than normal cartos so they run hotter... which is great if you are a eGo user. They work quite well in my opinion... you just need to remember that since they do run hotter, you need to make sure to keep em nice and wet while in use!

How Often Do You Change Carts Or Add Liquid?
DAYVAPE replied to girldragon's topic in New Vapers Forum
Yeah, if you wait till then you waited too long. Once it gets burnt, it's burnt... try to do it before it gets to that point. It will just lengthen the life of them alot... and the taste won't go bad nearly as quick. Just my opinion. -
Vaping At The Bars And Pubs
DAYVAPE replied to AimeeG's topic in Vaping Legislation & Regulation News
When I do use it in public I just pull it out and use like normal. I don't TRY to hide anything... just act as "normal" as I possibly can and answer any questions if they should come to me and ask. No need to act like I'm doing anything wrong... as I am not unless it says not to "vape" indoors or something. Vape it like you own it!! -
How Often Do You Change Carts Or Add Liquid?
DAYVAPE replied to girldragon's topic in New Vapers Forum
Wether you use a cart or a cartomizer... you will need to add drops/top off every so often. IMO, if you are going to use one of the two methods, I would say go with cartomizers. They are really easy to top off when needed and you dont have to worry about burning it up because you will easily know when to add juice. Also nice because you don't have much, if any, leakage from them. And if you change juices during a day you can simply take two with you that have different juices in them and you are good to go. In summary, you will really need to add drops/top off no matter what method you use... unless you just direct drip on the atty. I have found that cartos are just easier to maintain on a daily basis and the flavor/vapor/throat hit are all great from them. The last thing I would highly recommend is that if you end up with an eGo... you would want to go with a 'medium resistance cartomizer' instead of a standard one. They just burn a bit hotter and provide those things we crave when using them. Lets see... I like the ones from here ok: CARTOS Or you could go with these CARTOS and get a 510 to 901 adapter to use with your eGo. I will quit rambling on for now! -
Man... I was going to try Bobas Bounty sometime... but after all the crap you've been talkin' about it I just don't know now!
-
Uh, are you sure you aren't smokin' a little somethin somethin along with your vape??

I actually started vaping since my different doctor's appointments with the surgeons, etc. So, I didn't get to talk to them about it... would have liked to though. I'm definately going to start lowering my nic a bit at a time and see how I do. I sure never would have guessed I would be having a back surgery in my mid 30's!!! What worries me is that alot of times people end up needing multiple operations once you start down that path. At least that's what I've been told by a doctor.
-
I'm sure happy to hear that most are a success!! Thanks! How long prior to surgery should I have "cut back" on meds?? Like months?? Ack!
-
Great point Kits... cuz I have to eat quite a few Percs a day as it is. I don't wish this on anyone. I know what I'm going to have to do... I just keep reading crap about poor success rates and other horror stories! I need to just do it and hope for the best... it can't be any worse than I feel on a day to day basis now!

RIGHT HERE.

I hear you there Snubber!! Hell, I can give educated guesses as to what and why!! I don't know... there have just been alot more recent studies suggesting that the lack of blood flow, etc. to the affected areas will slow healing considerably. A couple of cases that I read about the doc seriously wouldn't do a certain procedure on someones back if they smoked! That's crazy man.... I just don't know. All I know is it's been a long 5 years trying EVERY other "treatment" under the sun! Injections didn't do jack for me AT ALL. What a total waste... and of course they wanted me to get "a series of two or three shots"....AT $500+ EA! What a crock!

So, I've been doing some research since being diagnosed with "degenerative disc disease"... and am sad to find this little bit of information. - Smoking Tobacco Among the many harmful effects of cigarette smoking on the body, early and more severe degeneration of the back is getting more and more attention. Nicotine—in any form—blocks the transport of oxygen and important nutrients to the spine's discs. Starved of oxygen, the discs are much less able to repair themselves and tend to collapse at a much earlier age than is seen in non-smokers. This painful collapse—degenerative disc disease—can lead to chronic back pain. Moreover, should any surgery be needed, smokers have been found to have much slower healing times and a high rate of failure to heal. You see, I live with chronic pain every single day in my L5/S1 region (low back). The doctors are telling me that the only fix is to have surgery and install a metal cage between the two bad discs and fuse them together. The two surgeons I've talked to also both asked me if I smoked... saying I needed to stop that for sure. Not only do I not want to have some doctor jacking with my SPINE... I also don't want to cut nicotine from my diet. I like nicotine! I don't drink caffeine... and now I need to stop this too? It just isn't cool. But, I guess if I want to heal after surgery, I don't really have a choice. They actually said I need to be NIC FREE for at least 2 weeks prior to, and after surgery, if I want the best odds of healing properly, etc. Anyone with any back surgery stories that will make me think I should have this done? I'm looking for some positive/uplifting stories!!

I too say..... WELCOME, and feel free to ask away whatever you may!

Low Resistance Cartomizers And The Ego
DAYVAPE replied to bobthesalesclerk's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I just keep finding myself going back to what works... and that is a regular 510 carto at 4.5 volts. I doubt it will get any better than that for me. I've tried umpteen different low res/med res cartos on the eGo and nothing... I mean, nothing compares! -
Wow!
