  1. Yep, you are correct.... there is the regular atty and LR atty. 510 is the connection. And the eGo has a 510 connection.
  2. Only mine is a much better version of that! Pffft... lanyard.
  3. You might want to consider this: http://www.vaportalkstore.com/products/Revolution-e-Cig.htmlder It uses cartomizers instead of atomizers which means you won't have to drip as often or use the crappy cartridges that comes with the 510. The "carto" is a cartridge and atomizer all in one.. you just top it off when it need it and vape away. Really user friendly and easy to use... a great first time unit to vape with. Just a thought. Otherwise if you want a 510 go to the Suppliers list that is here and use one of them... they wouldnt be on that list if they weren't good people.
  4. I dislike the mega cartos for the eGo with a passion. Sure glad there are so many choices!
  5. Like we mentioned in your other thread... great starter units are the Joye 510 or the eGo. You can buy a PCC (Personal Charging Case) separate for either one of them. But the 510 is the closest to a real cigarette... so that might be what you do. I will tell you this though... almost everyone that does that ends up buying an eGo pretty quickly because the battery life of any of the small "stick" type ecigs don't last long at all. I'm talking a couple hours if you are lucky! And the eGo will last you upwards of 6 - 8 hours... and many people get longer than that out of them. Everyone wants one that "looks and feels like a real cigarette" in the beginning... and thats fine if thats what you do, just be aware that you will probably get tired of charging and switching out batteries all the time.
  6. Well, if you are anything like most of us, you won't be able to resist the temptation to buy new mods. There are so many really nice mods out there it's crazy. I've dropped a pretty penny buying stuff I don't NEED to buy... but it was just too cool to say no too. Not to mention all the darn flavors and vendors out there that I hear great reviews on... then I'm off to their site fillin' up a darn shopping cart with goodies! When you are ready to move up you will know it... and when that happens you will find yourself drooling at the mouth while you are shopping and checking out all the pv's on the market.
  7. Man, if you are used to using regular cartos on your eGo, then you are going to die when you see how LR performs! It's in another world when it comes to 3.7 volt vaping. It closely resembles HV vaping... not exact, but pretty darn close. You will definately be able to take shorter drags than you are currently doing too! I tried a regular carto on my eGo the other night and it was crazy how poorly it worked compared to the same carto on my Buzz at 4.6 volts! Not even close.
  8. You make a very valid point! I've said it before and will say it again... it's difficult to go back to 3.7 volt vaping once you've been in the high voltage world. It just does not satisfy my craving enough. HV is where it's at for me !
  9. Oh it didn't get me anywhere either! I design/sell kitchens ! But I still think my degree helps me read people better, etc when I'm trying to get the job or upsell them. LOL
  10. That's the main reason we're here Ron... we all know exactly how it feels when first starting out. It can be a bit intimidating at times with all the stuff that's out there and the lingo. It makes us feel like we're needed by someone... and most of us can't find anyone that wants us, let alone needs us!
  11. That's funny... you have a degree in Psychology too huh? Me too!
  12. By the way... it's a "510" and not a "501"... just to clarify. You will love using a drip tip with your cartos... it's the only way to go, and it looks great. I can't wait until my LR 510 cartos get here from ENS because I hear they are great and the same people make them that makes his other ones... so hopefully I will be set when I want to vape at 3.7 ! I'm glad those drip tips were something you liked the looks of... I'm pretty sure you will like using them as well.
  13. Oh I hear that.... I have to know too! If I'm adjusting it, to say, 4.5 volts and I turn the screw some and it reads 4.596 I will make certain to tweak it till t's 4.5 even! Madness I tell ya!
  14. I'm lovin' my black Buzz! I have the gray UltraFire ICR 123A/880 mAh ones and the blue UltraFire 16340/1000 mAh batteries. Have you tried to look for both of those? I honestly can't tell the difference on how long they last.
  15. I didn't see anywhere in your posts that said exactly how many attys you actually have... but if you only have a couple I would advise you to pull out that credit card! Although they should last for a while... you could, in reality, have them both crap out in a day or two! Probably won't... but it still could. You might want to pick up another 5 or 6 just to be safe.
  16. Absolutely don't beat yourself up about it... that would be the worst thing you could do. If you've cut back to only 2 or 3 a day that is awesome! You're pretty much there man... now it's just the mental part of it that's keeping you smoking those few a day. Everyone is definately different about this though... that's for sure. I was one of the lucky ones where I totally enjoyed vaping way more than smoking... so it was a breeze for me to throw that pack away! It tastes better, smells better, makes others happier, made myself happier, I feel better, I don't have to go out in the weather to smoke lookin' like a fool, and I'm just having a great time with it... and a bonus to all of that is getting to know some really cool people on this great forum!!
  17. If you are a carto user most of the time then I would recommend getting yourself some 'drip tips'. I'm not aware of any whistle tips for 510 cartos to be honest... that doesn't mean someone won't come and tell us different though. I do know that you can use 901 tips on 510's though... although 901 attys need an adapter to screw on to a 510 battery. They aren't a big deal to use... alot of folks use them with no problems... me being one of those people often times. The 510 carto is a great carto... so if you are happy with them now, I would say stick with them... and just see if you can find a tip that you are happy with. Also, I would recommend the silver threaded cartos, they perform better and don't leak. You can find 'drip tips' all over the internet... everyone seems to sell them. I prefer the Delrin style (long version) tip and they work GREAT on cartos... I actually think cartos perform better with a drip tip because you can pull air easier through them since they are a bigger opening vs. those dumb little white plugs. And when you are ready to top off/refill your carto you can just pull it off and fill it up... it's easier to take it off for me so I can see what I'm doing and how full it's getting. Here are some drip tips and adapters if you havn't seen them yet. Drip tips and adapters. This isn't the only place to get them... but it was the first I found and they are all on the same page. Hope this helped a little... let us know if you need anything else.
  18. Would such a fine group of individuals like ourselves lie to you? Heck no! I've even seen some noobs post and ask if "we all sold them or something"... because of how everyone in here was talking them up and recommending this and that. Too funny! Seriously though... everyone should definately notice areas of improvement, but like you say, everyone is different in how long those results could take. All I can tell people is to hang in there... things do get better and easier.
  19. And you know what's crazy... when I first got my e-cig I totally wasn't doing it to stop smoking necessarily. Sure, I was going to be happy if I cut back, but stopping smoking all together wasn't a big deal one way or the other really. Let me tell you... it was honestly the easiest transition! Within 3 days of starting regular analogs tasted horrible as you all know... and that was pretty much all it took right there. I thought, nice... this is going to be even easier than I thought, especially since analogs taste so bad now that I'm vaping! And the rest was history... I think alot of the transition has to do with your intentions/mindset going into this, but who cares if you still have a few analogs, at least your cutting back frome what you were!
  20. I've always had nothing but great and fast service from TW. Every time my stuff arrives in about 3 or 4 days. Sorry to hear about that... maybe it was just this one time.
  21. Oh that's totally fine to do it that way. We know what they are from the supplier... then just give it a couple turns left and be good to go. At least that's how I prefer my cartos... 4.6 - 4.8 is great!
  22. Yeah, let me know... and I'll see how these from Electronicstix work out.
  23. Oh sweet... because I have some 1.8's from Jason on the way as we speak. I figure they will work great on my MarkMod that I JUST got today! Jason said he finally got the same people to make the LR that make his regular ones. Is it Boge or something?
