  1. Yep, what Beans said! Grab up a 1000 mah eGo battery for around $20-$25 (or 2 if you were smart that way you had one while the other was charging) and a USB Rapid Charger for the eGo battery... you are set then. Any 510 attys or cartos you have will screw right on this unit and you will see what I mean when talking about the differences in the two batts!
  2. I would certainly try multiple cartos from several boxes to find out....
  3. Honestly, I don't think you need to vape any differently than normal. As long as your voltage is dialed in for the proper resistance on the carto then all should be fine. Heck, you should be able to set it to around 4v and get the same results as you would using your eGo.... doesn't make sense really. Have you emailed Notcigs to ask them yet? Just curious... how is the draw on it vs. the eGo?
  4. I don't know.... but here's what I think: I'm bettin' my money you could have a bad unit in your hands... it's happened plenty of times with mods/devices I'm sure. I'd check with the vendor ASAP.
  5. Excellent review... very informative as always! Now I just want one even more though... and that just sux.
  6. I'm thinking its likely a 'dratty' (dry atty/not enough juice) over most anything else. I know as a noob it took me a while to learn how much liquid to add to my atty. I have a strong feeling that your cartomizer isn't full enough with juice. I mean, are you getting a pleasant/tasty flavor when you inhale, or is it just harshness and coughing only?? The answer to that will say a lot I believe. And this may sound silly... but are you inhaling into your mouth first and then pulling into your lungs? Or are you 'direct inhaling' into your lungs only? Just a thought...
  7. Thats a great idea as far as diluting your current juice. Buy some with lower nic to add to it... that way you arent sacrificing the flavor by adding just PG or VG. 26mg is considered 'high' at most any vendor that I'm aware of... so maybe grab some 12-14mg and go that route. It's really up to you and your nic likings! By the way... does the bottle just say 'High' on it? If so, I would guess its probably somewhere between 24-36mg, otherwise 36 or Higher mg is typically 'Extra High' from what I've seen. I started out at 36mg and quickly felt that it was more than I needed and dropped to 24mg. And now, after over a year and settling in at 18 mg, I have dropped again to somewhere in the 10-12mg range and found it's working great. I pretty much found that I HAD to drop my nic level like I did because I vape pretty much constantly throughout the day... and found myself feeling 'nic sick' at times. I just enjoy vaping too much... and of course since I can sit right in my office and vape w/o fear of reprimand, I am taking in much more nic than the old 'smoke break' days. Your body will quickly tell you if you are getting too much nic... if so, it's time to drop your level a bit.
  8. PG = Propylene Glycol VG = Vegetable Glycerin They are used as bases for e-liquids... you can buy it with or w/o nicotine. I would buy some plain PG or VG to thin your stuff down till you prefer it. You can buy VG at many drug stores and walmart type stores... typically in the Beauty section I think. Its actually used a skin protectant, etc. I dont know where to buy PG except for online... many vendors sell both and are quite cheap. Remember that the PG is much thinner than VG... so decide what you need by looking at how thick your juice already is. Of course Beans and her mad typing skills beat my cclumbsy fingers. My guess is that since you are knew to vaping you are probably hitting it a lot...like we all do when new juices arrive, etc. It will more than likely slow a tad when the new wears off... maybe. On a side note: If you guys find that your 510 batteries arent lasting you long enough and you are constantly charging them.... keep the "eGo"/"Riva"/"Tornado"/etc. in mind as your next unit. (they come in all sorts of names due to the fact there are knock-offs abound.) The great thing is all of your 510 'stuff' will work on the eGo batteries. You are basically just upgrading to a much better battery that will provide a more consistent 'hit' throughout its battery life. They dont tend to drop off nearly as quick as the small stick type batts do. So, it will feel like its providing a 'fully charged battery hit', for a lot longer time before dropping off. Just something to keep in mind for the future.
  9. eGo batts/Boge LR cartomizers. Noobie delight!
  10. That was just what I was going to ask you... have they had a chance to steep yet? But I guess so since it takes two weeks in transit. Sorry you didn't like them... it's a lot of trial and error at first, I know this much!
  11. Or skip em all and go with the tried and true 'Silver Bullet' from Altsmoke... a great device even at 3.7 volts! The battery life is outstanding to say the least!
  12. I was going to order one friday as well... the same one actually because there were no others available. I'm holding out until there are more to select from. Let us see it when you get it!
  13. When I'm at home filling up new cartos I much prefer using a syringe to do so. You can poke it in and literally fill from the bottom up... making certain juice is injected all around and saturates the filler. Once you work your way around and up with the needle just stop when it looks like a 'slurpy' on the top... not pooling. Then, when I need to 'top off' throughout the day, I do so while holding carto at an angle and drip down the insides. (try to make sure it doesn't run down the center airway.) Once filler is saturated again you are done... then I simply replace my drip tip and vape away!
  14. Pardon me... but who are you to judge just how much she should be vaping?? I, along with many others, vape all damn day long and have no issues with doing so. At least they are cigarettes like she used to smoke, right?
  15. Figured the $12+ shipping would have been a clue ?
  16. Vapor Kings is where it's at... I especially like how they label the cartos so you know what it is! Very nicely done and not some crazy/redonculous picture on them. Small little logo and 2.0 or LR to tell the difference... just right I say.
  17. CE2 cartos are a major fail for me. Simply don't keep up in the wicking department for how much I personally need them too.
  18. Yeah, because I despise cartos!!
  19. It's crazy... the box I bought were garbage! The draw was horrible on them and all tasted like total ! Part of the problem is that they are crazy long compared to the standard ones... allowing for them to have a messed up airflow/draw. Was quite displeased with them to be honest... I'll stick with the trusty Boge 2.0's once again.
  20. Sweet! Glad you found what works for ya!
  21. So, what was their 'advice' on making your juice stronger? I'd sure like to hear of this trick!
