Also, they have been coming out with a lot of newer/improved 901's, thus making them a better vape. For example, the new 'IKV 901' atty's, they are a great atomizer. Plus, they are being improved a lot and more now and offering more choices of ohm ratings.... from the LR up to the HR versions.

I'm not an Ebay buyer per say... but i'm sure they are out there. I typically stick w/ vendors and pick up extra batteries when I'm buying something else , etc. Just unbeatable batteries though.... here is a discussion of the 'AW IMR HIGH DRAINS' compared to the 'standard protected AW's'. My link "In a less scientific way, I would like to add this... The IMR HIGH DRAINS give you a longer period of that "fresh off the charger" vape. Your over all vape time between charges will be reduced because the IMR's have a lower MAH rating. If you preffer the way your PV vapes best with batts that are straight off the charger, look into IMR's. As far as smaller sized batts, always go IMR."

Things are lookin' up in the carto world! LOL!!
-
Actually, the drip shields look great on the eGo! They fit great right in place of the cone... no kidding!
-
Great review Phil! Hey, you should really try the AW/IMR HIGH DRAIN batteries, the red label ones. They will blow all other batteries away on performance with LR cartos/attys! No comparison really.... the loss in power is barely noticeable until they are nearly ready to charge. They just have a much better power curve. The batteries are actually not a 'protected battery'... but are a 'safer chemistry' then the protected ones. Give those a shot too sometime... you won't be disappointed in them!
-
901's are great... and even better now that the Empire Drip Shield is available. You can get anything from the LR (1.5, 1.8, and 2.0) and on up. I really do enjoy them much more then before... I couldn't deal with the drip hole before... but now that is taken care of with the shield! The Cisco LR 901's with a 'drip shield' are a sweet setup! Also, the IKV 901/ 1.8ohm attys are really nice as well! IKV 901 CISCO ATTYS DRIP SHIELDS

Yes indeed... they are very much beasts ! They pair perfectly with LR attys/cartos... I use the 18650 in my Silver Bullet as well and that thing hits like a tank for hours! I really like how they hardly drop off at all during use... at least it's not very noticeable at all anyway.
-
All I know is that the RED AW / IMR HIGH DRAIN BATTERIES kick some major !! They are the best battery to use in 3.7v mods with LR attys/cartos. Check em out! I use the AW / HIGH DRAIN 18650/1600 mah (LIKE THIS), and even the smaller 18490/1100 mah (LIKE THIS), in my Empire and they rock that thing all day and then some. The power curve is excellent on these and they barely drop off until they are about done with. "AW batteries are well known for being the best. You simply can't get a better battery than the AW." "AW's IMR High Drain rechargeable battery chemistry is safer than Li-Ion, offers faster discharge rates, and is better suited for high power applications." Nearly everyone is sold out... but I did find the 14500's here: BATTERY

Hey there tough guy! No need to be a prick... nobody asked for your opinion on forum reply quality anyway! I honestly don't give a what you have to say... n00b! So how about you STFU and go elsewhere so you can keep on acting like you are 'all knowing', so others can laugh at you too! You come here with the attitude that this forum should be run like you want it to... believe me, you'll will not have too many 'friends' here acting like that bro. I've been around here long enough and everyone here knows me and my 'personality'... and trust me, it's not because I'm lacking anything my friend. I would much rather have a little fun here then try to tell people how they should respond to threads! -

Hey now! You better behave and stop trying to get everyone all worked up again! LOL!

I totally agree Sharon... the Safe Cig is really a bad choice to represent vaping in general. Just another one of those money driven/huge company's out there taking advantage of people by selling them on some sort of 'cartridge plan' every month! Not to mention only offering maybe 3 or 4 different flavor choices! What's unfortunate is that a lot of people end up with one of those places like the mall kiosks, etc... simply because they are out in the public eye getting all the attention of current smokers who may want to quit. It sucks that they have the financial backing to do so or e-cigs/vaping might not look so bad, etc. Not all e-cig kits are Safe Cig kits... for example look at Christopher and what he sells! He will actually sell you a quality 'kit' that has 2 batteries instead of 1! One problem is that people are impulse buyers and will fall for nearly anything these days... especially a new gadget like e-cigs! It just sucks that so many new vapers end up starting with one of those overpriced/low quality products before becoming educated on which e-cigs really offer the best bang for their buck! I am in the minority I suppose in that I actually found VaporTalk before buying an e-cig at all! Thank God for that little lucky moment in time or I too would have been vaping on a Blu... or worse yet a 'Safe Cig'! Hopefully, before it's all said and done, some of the 'good guys' that we all love and support will stand together as one and promote the vaping community properly and honestly as it should! There are still good people out there selling the higher quality products that actually include everything necessary to vape and be successful doing so (thanks again Chris)! Sorry... rant off!

I do remember you! What great things you are doing to help those women... I applaud you for opening your heart and home to them. And you can rest assured that nobody here thinks you are a 'spammer' in any way/shape or fashion. Man, I know i have a bunch of juice that I won't vape either... but I really don't make sending people my 'bad juice' something I regularly do. I know the whole 'taste is subjective' bit... but some of the ones I'm referring to are really bad, I don't know how/why anyone in their right mind would like/vape the stuff! Keep up the good work my friend... there just isn't enough people like you in this world. It must be a great feeling to know every day that you are making a huge difference in their lives! Take care! And don't be such a stranger!
-
It's almost as bad as if a vendor purposely sold overpriced e-cigs to newbies... knowing that there are many other kits out there that are much better AND cheaper ! I especially can't stand those that have those shady 'cartridge plans' that you have to sign up and pay for on a monthly basis. What a damn ripoff that is! Someone needs to start a list of 'Shady Vendors', so others don't fall in to one of those sick traps that end up costing them an arm and a leg, then only get junk in return!

To figure what out? I had it 'figured out' from page 1 / post 1!

Oh, I've tried it before as well, and it simply wouldn't keep the coil wet enough for how much I vape. I think it makes some sense... if the juice is thinner it will more easily flow through the filler to the coil. With the 100% PG that I vape daily I can vape like a madman one hit after another without needing to wait for the juice to re-absorb in the filler material. Not to mention the fact that PG carries the flavor much better than VG ever will! I like strong flavors and enjoy knowing that I'm taking a hit! VG tends to mute my juices too much for me... and lowers the throat hit as well. Can't have that happening to my two favorite things about vaping! Luckily... we all have very different experiences with the exact same item... and that is one of the great things about this 'vaping' thing we love so much! (Note: This is simply my experience... yours may vary from mine!)
-
I will say this... the higher the PG content in the juice, they better it will work in a cartomizer. 50/50 might be a bit too thick... I know it is for me and my back to back vaping that I do. I use/like 100% PG juices... which is nice since it works the best in the carto filler material. You might be alright with the 50/50 though... I've heard of others using it in them. You just might not be able to vape a bunch of times in a row... may need to rest and soak in a bit every 4 or 5 hits you take. Let me know how it goes...

If you have an eGo like I think you said you did... you would need these: Best LR Cartos! And $7.25 for a 5 pack isn't bad at all considering one carto will last me several days easily before it's time to get a new one out. They are meant to be disposable by the way... which is why they are fairly cheap. They come in black or stainless. These are some of the best ones I have ever used... and have been very consistent as well. The ones you are looking at are for the 'KR808' model... you need to get ones for a '510' connection, which is what your eGo has. You COULD use them... but you would need to use certain adapters to do so, and that's just a bit of a hassle if you don't need to do so. Tank attys are a completely different system for the eGo. You buy a 'Tank Atomizer' and it comes with a 'cartridge/mouthpiece' that holds ~1ml of juice. It then is poked down into the atty and is supposed to wick on to the coil. Some people like them... and others don't at all. I believe that the LR version of the tank attys work better than the standard ones though. The problem with those is they simply don't last very long before you need to clean them because they tend to get 'gunked up' so the juice doesn't wick properly. I didn't like them when I tried them... but never tried the LR ones. They were really quite weak in the flavor and throat hit departments for me. And I always got a funny plastic kind of a taste with it. But I new it wasn't something for me anyway... so I just went back to me trusty "Boge 510 LR Cartomizers"... with the silver threads of course! I have yet to find anything that works better than these cartos as of yet... and I have tried a bunch of different things that are available. Hope this helps! I'd just go to one of the many reputable vendors out there and search for "Boge Cartomizers"...then you can pick the 'Standard Resistance' ones or the 'Low Resistance'(LR) ones... heck, give them both a shot and see which you prefer. Oh, one more thing i nearly forgot, if you don't have any 'Drip Tips' then do yourself a huge favor and grab some of those up as well. Most vendors out there sell them... they aren't hard to find at all. (remember, you need one to fit a '510/901' atty or carto. Those go right in place of the original cartridges that come on attys from the factory... and also work well on cartomizers too! When it's time to 'top off' with more juice you just take the drip tip off and drip in to the filler material till it's full again... then replace tip and VAPE AWAY! OK, My rambling is now complete! Sorry that was so freakin' long!!
-
You don't say!?! I have to admit... I'm somewhat beside myself knowing that someone feels the same way I do about it!
-
Something tells me that you are overdue for a new atty... they don't last forever and will eventually have a burnt/nasty taste when vaping. It's the coil getting to the point of no return and gunked up with nastiness. I would highly recommend trying either a new atomizer... or some cartomizers. Grab up a 5-pack and give em a go and see... only spend approximately the same as an atty, but come in a pack of 5. But, you for sure need to think about picking up a few atomizers to have on hand, you never know when one could go out on you either. I think that most people will replace them after 2-3 weeks... and some will make em go for a month or more. It just depends on how gunked up and blackened the coil has gotten. Because it will eventually taste like crap no matter what you do! The atomizer experts will be here shortly I'm sure... I only use cartomizers when vaping, so I'm not of much help. +1 for you my friend! Although funny as hell, Jeff..... I wouldn't want any of my customers walking in on me yelling like that at my computer screen! They may think I'm crazy in the head or something. Your perception of me is pretty darn accurate as to what my brain is thinking in many cases though! The problem is that most people can't take it when 'facts' are posted about them on a public forum... so they then feel the need to fire back with some crazy nonsense to get the focus turned off of them. I bet there are many times that my posts are exactly what a lot of others are feeling as well... they just don't have the 'sack' to post it up like I do, lol. It's not that I'm trying to start something... I just have an issue with being blunt and honest I guess. That's my theory... and I'm stickin' with it! Thanks though... I now have a new background on my desktop! It even looks like he's saying: "Are there really people in the world that are this f'ing stupid!?!"

Would you expect anything less from me Sharon?? I can say with 100% certainty that I was in no way TRYING to be eloquent anyway... BUT, if I offended you in any way Sharon, I do apologize for that. I do however, take serious offense when people are knowingly taking advantage of beginners, all because they are not educated on all of the devices. I mean heck... look at what you can get eGo/Riva/Tornado kits for now! I'd for sure have much more respect for him if he was offering something akin to those... or at least something that is advertising TRUTHS about the unit and vapinng!! I'm sure we will here next that 'he is not in it for the money, he just likes helping others'... or 'it is the best device out there for new vapers because he researched all the others first'. Heck, I thought it was a joke at first, until I saw his 'website' in his signature and went and saw just exactly what kind of "deal" he is offering out of the kindness of his heart! What an uber-super kind of fella he must be! This tells me everything I could possibly need to know just what kind of person his is... I don't care to discuss anything with him in the future.

First of all Beans... I hope you are feeling better and a big thumbs up for voicing your switch to vaping!! I always wondered why some people are so serious about hiding the fact that they vape instead of smoke... heck, I'm proud to break it out wherever I'm at. We should all be proud of what we've accomplished to stop smoking the nasty analogs that had the grip on us for so long! Don't get me wrong here, I use common sense as to where I vape, but I don't worry about it in most settings. Most places I have found welcome it with open arms! And Johns... I too have this same thing happen to me now. Isn't it a great feeling to not even worry that you just left the house and forgot your ecig?? Like you... if I were still smoking I would have turned around and went back to the house or hit the nearest store to buy some! I originally started with 24-36mg juice... and I'm down to anywhere between 10-12mg now with no ill effects whatsoever when I dropped my nic level each time. I think I did it in maybe 3 steps... and waited a couple of months before each drop. Since I've dropped to 12mg juices, they seem to taste much better now, with less of a harsh nicotine hit in my throat. I didn't really crave that hardcore nic hit that some people do... but now the flavors seem to really shine through now that I don't have that big nic hit I got with the higher mg juices! Yay for choices when it comes to vaping!!
