  1. I wouldn't recommend a 50/50 ratio for use in cartos... it's never worked out good for me anyway, too thick.
  2. Yeah, I'm with Viper Ron here... I have a feeling your running your carto too dry. Those need to stay nice and wet!
  3. My guess is that you will never use another cart w/ fluval ever again! Cartos, FTW!
  4. I have found that the regular length / dual coils work better for me than the longer ones... don't know why for sure, but they certainly do!
  5. Keep in mind... you may also want to lower your nic level whenever possible... that made a big difference for me and that 'harshness' in the throat. Nicotine is some pretty nasty/harsh tasting stuff... and one nic can be much worse than the another nic. I don't recall what level you are at... was it 24mg? I know that, for me at least, 12mg has become my 'happy place' when it comes to vaping. I never did like that really strong peppery taste that I was getting when I first started... but that was with 24+ nic levels also! Now that I'm settled in at 12mg... things are wonderful. Try different things and you'll have it down in no time!
  6. PG still creates the vapors... just not as thick. Plus, it certainly tastes stronger/better, in my opinion.
  7. Have you tried prying up the center post of the carto, etc.? They are all a bit different... and some require a little tweaking to work properly. Just a thought...
  8. That's not what I expected to hear... '100% VG works just fine' ?? Heck, I never even had much luck with 50% VG when it came to cartos! Just too thick for my vape pace I guess... I suppose if you took a couple drags and let it sit for a bit before you hit it again, then maybe. But I just like the ease of use, better flavor, and more throat hit with the PG based juices. We all prefer it differently... which is what is so great about vaping, there is a little something for everyone!
  9. TastyVapor has some of their flavors in sample sizes... not sure if they are any you would like to try though. http://www.tastyvapor.us/sample-liquids-p-289.html?cPath=20&TVid=c9d0220fc707d0657c2024232ebb83f1
  10. OUCH! I'd say... a standard Joye atty for $16 ... yikes!
  11. Steeping is letting the juices sit for several days in order for all the ingredients to sort of 'blend' together as best they can. Some juices require it... and others simply do not, it just depends on the juice/ingredients. Often times brand new juices will not taste quite right for some reason... then once they have sat for a length of time, they are all the sudden totally different! Some of the more complex flavors/mixes will require steeping... while some of them will not. Basically, it doesn't hurt at all for you to let your new juices 'steep' for a few days after you get them, and may just be the best thing for them. Hope that explains things a bit...
  12. There is also a short 510-510 adapter... I believe it's at COV. I use them all the time, because they come sealed (or not), and allow the use of a 'drip shield'. It keeps my mods connection from becoming juiced for some strange reason. I also use/like the longer ones too at times... http://www.cloudsofv...10-adapter.html
  13. So, you are saying that 2ml lasts you 1/2 a day 'cause you vape a lot.' ?? I now feel like a total 'e-juice addict'... I don't keep a great eye on how much I vape... but I normally vape more than that around the house in the evenings. Hmmm... maybe I should up my nic content so it would slow me down a bit.
  14. Several vendors on the internet sell 'menthol drops'... and also 'menthol crystals'. I think if they sell DIY stuff... they sometimes sell them there. I use the crystals and make my own drops typically. A little goes a long way!
  15. Yeah, nearly all the fruit flavors with a nice shot of menthol, is all I ever vape at this point. Also, i was never a menthol smoker prior to vaping, so I think everyone should give it a shot. You never know... I pretty much must have my menthol now! Just something about that refreshing cooling feeling you get with it... I like it a lot more than I ever thought I would. The nice thing is that if you use concentrated menthol drops... you can easily adjust the strength of it... sometimes I like more menthol kick in certain flavors.
  16. Just remember... a great tasting, true tobacco flavor is not the easiest thing to find or make. They are hard to replicate since we aren't actually burning anything like with real analogs... not to mention all of the other unknown filler agents and crap that they throw in! I quickly realized this and went to trying the fruit flavors... I soon realized that was what I REALLY liked, especially with the addition of menthol for that little kick and cooling feeling! Keep searching... don't get discouraged... you'll find your happy place at some point.
  17. That's what I'm saying Fran.. cartomizer inside the tanks... you know how I love my Boge cartos anyway! I can't stand CE2 style cartos... so I can only speak for the 'carto tanks' here. And I've never been a fan of 'clearos' either... always seemed to leak too easy for me! I can't wait to see what little tweaks they make to the next version of 'carto tank'... I feel like there is still some room for improvement with these. Should be interesting to follow!
  18. I was too... but keep in mind who started the thread. Kind of a mute point then...
  19. Carto tanks (J-tank, Liquinator, etc.) are a great way to vape w/o the hassle of adding juice all the time.. Once you get them figured out, and know how to fine tune one, they become a great addition. Don't get me wrong... it took me a bit to find what worked the best w/o flooding the carto or not getting any juice in them at all. Good luck in whatever you try... and just enjoy all the different choices we have!
  20. Congrats Tim... keep up the good work! It really isn't too hard once you get the hang of vaping. The only thing, for me anyway, is keeping my spending under control every month! With all the new cool gadgets it hard to refrain sometimes!!
  21. Awe... now those are some really sweet letters right there, how touching!
  22. After I punch a single hole in a Boge... I then fill the carto as I normally would (using condom on threaded end... filling w/ syringe till it's just full, doesn't need to be saturated completely) and then prepare to assemble/fill the rest of the tank. To fill the tank, I slide the carto in (threaded end first) nearly all the way... but leaving a small slit/space for my needle so I can fill tank until 95% full. Once I'm there I slide carto the rest of through and make my final adjustments so that everything is where it needs to be! After vaping most of the juice that was in the carto from the very start, and the flavor starts to fade and I get the drier type hits, then I know it's not working properly. Typically, I will position the hole just barely above the bottom cap, and take another drag w/o firing device. If I don't eventually see some tiny little bubbles then I know it's not pulling in juice like it should be... and more adjustments must be made. After all, juice doesn't simply just soak in through the hole/slit... it must be drawn in while you are vaping on it. This all took me a fair amount of time to figure out when I first got mine... but just keep playing with different positioning of your holes or slots until you find what works. It can be a finicky little setup and everything has to be just right and working properly or it simply won't work. When it's working though... it's working great! Same can be said for when it's not working... when it's not, it's really not... and can quickly frustrate you until you are ready to throw it against a wall! In the end I would have to say this: I' m liking the tighter fitting J-Tank over the Liquinator, and now await the larger 5.5ml tank so I don't have to fill it as often! That's what sucks for me... refilling, because once you refill it, you then must find that 'sweet spot' again before it's truly happy and working!
  23. I have basically had above average transactions with 99.9 % of the vendors I've ordered from over the last 2 years! And, I have made it a point to order from MANY different ones that are out there, just to see what they had to offer in the way of juice/products/etc. The only time I ever had an 'issue' at all was with them as well... so I simply decided to take my business elsewhere and not make a big deal about it. I too work in a very customer oriented environment... and I have learned a hell of a lot of things in the last 10 years, the main thing was that I needed to remember to bend over backwards for every customer !! You really should make it a point to go a little above and beyond what you need to do... because, trust me, they will likely remember it and return again in the future. We must remember... 'the customer is always right'!!
