  1. As of yesterday, I have been six months without even so much as a drag of an analog cigarette!!! Thank you so much to everyone on this forum for aiding me during this journey. I could not have done it without any of you!!! Here's to six more months!!
  2. Well, I keep telling you that I'm very willing to buy the rest of your Boba's stash off you!!! To me it tastes like a premium pipe tobacco...
  3. The Vapor Room has $1 ground, and $4 priority shipping all day today, and tomorrow. They are also offering a strawberry punch flavor for some ridiculously low price.
  4. The Vapor Room Alien Visions Heather's Heavenly Vapes Alice in Vapeland VaporTalk (of course) Those would be my "must-try" recommendations. All vendors except VaporTalk offer premium flavors, made fresh on order. Alien Visions can be a pain to order from if you don't know how to do it. They open daily at 8:00 am PST, and close upon reaching a limit of 300 orders. The trick is to get yourself registered, and add items to your Wishlist. Then, log in to their site a few minutes before they open, go into your cart, and refresh your browser until they open. Once they do, get your payment in as fast as possible, because they'll reach their order limit as fast as 5 minutes after opening their store. Get your juice in quantity. If you like it, you may run out before you can order more. If you don't like it, you can easily sell or trade for a premium!!!
  5. If your juice tastes like chemicals, don't vape it!!!! Chances are it wasn't made fresh.... Steeping shouldn't require shaking. Just let it sit, and mellow out. As a general rule, the more complex the flavor (ie: Boba's Bounty), the longer you should let it steep. The Vapor Room is a good place to start for "fresh-made" juice. They make their juice fresh for your order, it doesn't taste like chemicals, and though it is preferable to let it steep for a few days, you can use it right away with no real discernible incongruity. For pre-steeped juices, I gotta give a plug for Christopher and recommend VaporTalk juice. Though the only one I've had of his was Dulcis. I didn't care for it at first, but it really grew on me after a couple tanks!!!
  6. Men do not mind sleeping on the couch....to us, its just like camping!!!
  7. Welcome to the community!!!! You're lungs are in good hands here, but unfortunately your wallet isn't. By this time next year, you and your man will start to wonder if quitting analogs actually saved you any money. On the bright side though, you'll have a ton of vape gear, and you won't smell like an ashtray anymore!!! :p
  8. Can't go wrong with any of that. Let's hope the old man can convert. Good to see you're still around, BTW!!!
  9. This should help get a nice and easy hit: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=337017 This too: I know its all on how to properly inhale off an e-cig, but the majority of factors working towards getting a "good hit" are directly related to inhalation technique. The VG and nic content of your juice are another part of it, while your equipment comprises the rest of the equation. Personally, I wouldn't ever assume VG content is 50/50. Rather, one should figure unspecified ratio leans towards a higher PG content. Doesn't mean you cannot get a good vape.... this is where your equipment comes in. Having a greater airflow across your atomizer's coil will result in more vapor. If you are drawing too hard, you need more inflow of air, and a hotter coil to keep up. Otherwise, you'll kill your vape. If you draw too loose, you'll just end up burning the wick in your atty, and get very little vapor in return. Therefore, a balance must be struck. And, unless you're a more advanced user with a proclivity for getting all MacGuyver and modifying your equipment to meet your demands, you need to learn to properly draw off your e-cig. Since this is probably becoming more confusing than helpful, I'll leave it there. Save to say that a proper draw is the key to a good vape. Learn your gear, know your juice, and you'll never have a bad vape!!! Hope this helps!!! :p
  10. HA!!!! Knew you'd cave sooner or later.... Personally, I never got the hang of Variable Volt devices. Variable Watt devices make a bit more sense. But, I like to tinker, and I love saving $$$ So, $120 got me this, two batteries, a charger, and enough supplies to never run out of coil and wick for at least two years: Now all I have to worry about is buying juice, and blowing clouds of vapor!!!
  11. Welcome to the forum, and the beginning of your new life!!! Being new, getting everything from one vendor is attainable, though highly unlikely. Yes, you can get reasonably priced starter kits that will come with everything to get you started. However, you're going to need a few extra things to keep you going, and give you the best chances for success. Juice, for instance, is highly subjective. You are going to want to buy way more than you need. And, you're going to want them in a variety of flavors, and nicotine strengths to find what you like. Trust when I say that you really do not want to face the prospect of staring at your last 1ml while you still haven't received confirmation your next juice order has even shipped. My best advice is to: 1) Do your research, and do not be too hasty with your first purchase 2) Buy more than what you need to start 3) Always have a backup or four 4) Learn to properly draw off your e-cig 5) NEVER LOOK BACK!!!! Hope this helps!!!
  12. We shall see when I switch out my Boba's Bounty for something else....
  13. Variable watt and voltage settings cannot be done at the same time. Furthermore, variable power devices will generally reset to an auto-default, or the last setting entered by the user when switching between watt/volt modes. Somewhere in the wide world of vaping, there may be a device out there that will allow the user to set the wattage, switch modes, and have the readout display the number of volts used to achieve the previous wattage setting given the resistance of the attached device. However, as of this posting, I have no knowledge of any such product.
  14. What nic strength are you vaping? That has just about everything to do with throat hit. The general rule of thumb is: the higher the strength, the more throat hit you will get. Vapor production also plays a part, albeit a small one. More vapor = a little more throat hit. Although VG content has a bit to do with vapor production, it isn't everything. Hotter coils + greater airflow = bigger clouds. The funny thing about vaping is that any change you make diametrically changes the vape. In other words, make one change at a time so you can track down the weak spots later. Hope this helps!!
  15. Honestly, it takes a couple weeks of steeping, and a couple tanks for the complexity of the flavors to grab you. But if you really don't like it..... Do you have any more?? I'll pay for it, or send something in trade....much better than running out while trying to get lucky enough to order more. Since Thursday, I've been Vaping nothing but Boba's...and I'm now hooked!!!
  16. Also, with a gadget called "Zorbas," you can turn your mechanical mod into an 18-watt regulated powerhouse. (Personally, I prefer a gadget called a "Genesis" with a 0.8 ohm coil build that turns my mechanical mod into a 22+-watt unregulated smokestack.....but that's just me!! :p )
  17. I'll be more than happy to relieve you of that said, "nasty crap." :p
  18. It's basically a tobacco with caramel and vanilla added. One could say that, with over 120+ variations on the formula, and a 400+ page thread on the "other" forum totally devoted to RY4's, this flavor has developed quite the cult following.
  19. RY4 Since I started Vaping, I've become somewhat of a RY4 connoisseur, trying out new manufacturers as I can afford to do so. My favorite one so far has been Ginger's RY4 by The Vapor Room.
  20. Can't go wrong with a mod. The Vamo is a great starter mod if you want variable power. Otherwise, there are plenty of electrical-base and mechanical mods that are well-built and readily available on the cheap. The Sigelei #8 and 13a, the Natural, and K100/K101 mechanicals are all available under $50, solid battletanks, and attractive daily-drivers. The Silver Bullet is a good electrical-base mod that has been a standard in the vaping community. The only drawback is the price...but, you pay for good quality.
  21. Right on.....I live in SE. Escape Vapors (I think that's the name) is located on NE 82nd ave. right by Madison High School. They're on Facebook. If you have one, get added to the VapOregon group while you're at it!!!
  22. Nothing unfortunate about "store-brand" e-cigs....especially in a podunk little place like Hermiston. What starts as over the counter disposables eventually turns into mods and rebuildables. Ultimately, keeping people off traditional tobacco cigarettes is the result we want to see. Here in Oregon, I've noticed a huge increase in e-cig use and acceptance in the last three months. We even got our first vapor lounge!!! Six months ago, when I started Vaping, the presence wasn't near what it is today. Hopefully, it will increase in the next year to where we will get our Vapor Con NW!!! :
  23. Mmmmmmaybe...... I blame you for this, you know. When out & about and people ask about my RBA, I tell them Uma made me do it!!! :p
  24. Then why the serious lack of vape meets over this way?? Why can't the West Coast have events like the VapeBash and Vapor Con events on the East Coast???
  25. Woah....you're in P-town also??? Good to see a fellow NW vaper on here!!
