Pretty excited about this one. The Aqua is a new-generation RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer) building off the Kayfun platform. Native dual-coil setup with built-in juice and airflow control are among its features. The kit comes with the unit, two drip tips, and a hybrid connection for the Origen mod. The pre-sale for this one went quick!!! I'm sure that the Aqua will be on my radar for quite some time. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mwwBMXCl9Ec#

I hate plastic syringes >:(
CascadianExotics replied to Compenstine's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
Been meaning to do that tape trick. Even though I buy my syringes in bulk, I kind of like the old addage: "Waste not, want not." -
Be careful which clone you buy. Some of them use super-small hex screws which strip easily. So, avoid ones sold with a hex-key / allen wrench.

Out of the ones you listed, the Smoktech is the only one I do not have in my collection. My recommendation for a first RBA would be the Igo-L. The dual coils on the W can be a pain, and the Phoenix is small. Neither of which are appropriate for a starter atty. Don't get too hung up on wick types either. Honestly, you could use any wick type you want. Personally, I use organic cotton balls as a wicking material in all my RDAs.

Marshmallow-kiwi (Frankenvape clone). Probably one of the best recipes I've come up with yet!!!

My condolences, Brian...hopefully, the Oregon - UCLA game will be more entertaining. -
Hahaha. Thanks for the vote of confidence. However, I just started DIY-ing a couple months ago. Kitsune is the queen of DIY around here. DIY sure is fun, though. Not hard to learn, but hard to master.

Gonna have to break out the old MT3, and give this a shot.

The not so hot Lavafire Variable Battery MOD
CascadianExotics replied to Compenstine's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Thanks for posting!!! Even when all the proper research is done, Chinese QA is so spotty, duds will inevitably roll off the production line. Best to pay for a quality device that will last a long time, than to pay more money in the long run for a bunch of devices and fixes. A painful lesson I recently learned... -
I absolutely LOVE Space Jam!!! Just too damn expensive for something I can easily make myself (my buddy discovered that 8% tfa pomegranate + 7% tfa Blueberry in a 40/60 PG/VG base = Andromeda). Speaking of DIY juice clones, I'm vaping my clone of Drake's Echelon (10% tfa marshmallow + 7% tfa pomegranate + 3% Ethyl Maltol in a 100% VG base). Damn close, and damn good!!!

I-Chybrid...a game changer?
CascadianExotics replied to CascadianExotics's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
Got one more thing to try, then I'm done!!! In fact, no one should have to buy extra things just to make a brand-new device work properly. Hopefully, the RSST o-rings will work to hold the tank tight, but not stress the glass. Furthermore, not be a complete hassle to slide the glass tank over... As for the Rainbow Elite: I am getting pretty put out with cheap Chinese crap. Don't get me wrong, because I love my Sigelei mechs, and my el-cheapo RDA's. Even my RSST still performs well. But, after this experience, I think my next hybrid / genny purchase will be in the above $100 range. Not meaning to be an "elitist" statement, per se. Rather, I'd prefer to have a quality-made device. -
Getting a Coolness Without Menthol?

That is what truly counts in the end. Thank you very much for your input! -
Getting a Coolness Without Menthol?
CascadianExotics replied to CascadianExotics's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
Sorry, but I really do not like mint. Probably should have put that in my original post. Furthermore, I fail to see how mint would give off a cooling sensation on its own, let alone mixed with something else. Also, considering that this base makes up 20% of the mix, it cannot possibly taste good when mixed with something like watermelon or strawberry (ever brush your teeth, and take a drink of OJ?). Koolada works wonders, though!!! Thanks for the suggestion, Krystal. -
What atty are you building on? Also, what device are you using...eGo, mod? Believe it or not, this can make a difference. If you're used to something like a vivi nova or ProTank, and go to a RBA / RDA with a 1.2mm air hole, the draw will seem REALLY loose. Usually, I drill out my air holes to 1.6 - 2mm. So, 1.2mm is tight for me. And, whenever I go back to my eGo / CE5 setup, the draw is so tight, it feels like my eyeballs are gonna pop out of my skull.

Well, got two V4's a couple weeks ago, and I am just now getting to working with them. Since these were bought with testing my DIY juice in mind, I have not modded the device as I want to test my creations on a device that vapes similar to what the general population of vapers would use. So, the build is an 8/7 wrap micro coil (1/16th inch inside diameter) with a cotton wick. The coil meters at slightly over 2 ohms, and vapes like a champ!!! Shown on my Sigelei 8a in 18350 mode.

Seems like $1 per ml is standard B&M prices....our local B&M sells Five Pawns for that. Anyways, vaping some Rwhy4 today. I gotta learn to let my tobaccos steep longer....but this one is so damn good!!!

No, but that's how I warm up my rodents for my snakes, lol. Personally, I wouldn't risk feeding raw meat from the butcher or grocery store to a snake, nor would I recommend anyone doing so. First, whole rodents have extra nutrients (fat, calcium, vitamins) that meat may or may not contain. Second, meat may contain certain hormones, treatments, etc. that could potentially harm your pet. Incidentally, its not PETA to blame for the switch to frozen/thawed rodents. It's irresponsible owners leaving rodents in with their snakes, and the inadvertent harm caused to their pets as seen almost daily by many a veterinarian. Most hobbyists these days recognize that live feeding is almost totally unnecessary. It is less cruel for both predator and prey to make the switch to frozen/thawed. And the practice also has the benefit of keeping PETA's collective nose out of our business. There are some specimens, however, that will not take to F/T, even with a proper adjustment period (one of my ball pythons refuses F/T despite two years of trying, but will readily take fresh-kill). In that case, it's perfectly acceptable to feed live, so long as it is done responsibly. Hope this helps, Rix!!!

I-Chybrid...a game changer?
CascadianExotics replied to CascadianExotics's topic in e Cigarette Reviews
That was the first place I checked. The I-ATTY tank is an unusual size and thickness, and none of their custom-cut stock fits the criteria. Speaking of tank thickness: I GIVE UP!!! This tank made it 24 hours before cracking. Either something with the unit is over-stressing the glass, or I'm doing something wrong with putting it together. So, I have one more spare tank and will try again. If this one breaks, I will no longer be able to recommend this product or the standalone I-ATTY. For $40 more than what I have already spent on the Chybrid and I-ATTY standalone, I could have had a Richman Hybrid. Or an iHybrid Pure for $20 more. Steve = not Happy!!!! -
Making E Liquid (nicotine free)
CascadianExotics replied to ThisGuy's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
No, you do not need PG to mix 0nic liquids. Some people like having it to thin out their mixes, get a little extra throat hit, and it is a much better flavor carrier than VG. However, the flavorings are usually made with PG, so you'll have some in your mix, regardless. Personally, unless I'm making an extract or a 10% crystal dilution, I feel that it's just one extra thing to buy and one extra step in the mixing process.
