  1. Per a suggestion from Uma, this thread is being created for people to post up links to vendors selling spare parts for our RBAs. Hopefully, we can all work together to assemble an up-to-date "Master List" for anyone to reference. When posting a vendor link, please include which specific RBA(s) the vendor "supports" (stocks parts for), and a general list of parts stocked. Example: Vendor: http://www.discountvapers.com Supports: AGA-T Parts: glass tanks, o-rings, screws, Allen wrenches Thanks for your help!!!
  2. Haven't received my mesh and wire yet, so I couldn't tell you one way or another about the RSST. Except that it looks really nice sitting on my #8.
  3. You'll get no argument out of me there, Rob. The K100 is a great device!!! My buddy ordered one for his first MOD.....and it has yet to disappoint. That thing can withstand anything we've thrown at it!!! I must say that my only complaint is in the looks department. While the K100 is a well-built battle tank, I cannot get over the gaudyness of the device. But, then again, I do like simple, clean lines with subtle beauty accents. On the other hand, my buddy loves the stand-out blue-on-polished, and ribbed-for-his-pleasure look, LOL!!!
  4. VapeMail arrived....and I'm surprised my postman hasn't taken out a restraining order on me, because I've been waiting for this one!!!! I Finally decided to take the plunge, and got myself a MOD. Hate on cheap Chinese clones all you want, but the Sigelei mechanicals show a lot of promise. Out of the box, it vapes really well. Their MODs have a good heft, and are very well machined. The fit and finish scream sexy!!! However, as long as one knows what they're getting into, for around $30 and a couple hours of tinkering, one could have an outstanding MOD that performs. Here it is in 18650 mode with RSST. Energy drink can shown for size reference. 18350 mode with standard atty for dripping. In the future, I would like to obtain a very select few "high-end" devices. While I could save for one, I'm a broke college student, and cannot afford to screw up a $200+ device that took me months to budget for. The Sigelei mechs and K100 are a perfect solution for anyone on a tight budget seeking a durable, and quality mechanical MOD!!!

    RSST

Congrats to MSE on his one year!!! And, thanks for the link, Uma!! I just picked up a RSST to go on my new mod, but still need to get mesh and wire. Does anyone have links to a spare tank, o-rings, and other misc. RSST parts?? Honestly, I'm not a fan of the opaque polycarbonate tank it comes with...but, the ease of use was the selling point, so I cannot complain too much.
  6. Just pulled the trigger on: Sigelei #8 mechanical mod Smok RSST RBA 18650 & 18350 set of Efest IMRs TR-001 charger (yeah, yeah, I know...I'll get an Intellicharge as soon as money allows)
  7. If you really want to adopt a hand-to-mouth habit, it would be more productive to take up a hobby of making art-sculptures out of the clippings left over from biting your fingernails. Just my .02
  8. Don't care too much for box mods, but this one has me thinking....
  9. Ok, so it isn't mine....but, my buddy is in the process of moving, and had his K100 kit shipped to my home. Then told me to charge the batteries and check it out. He probably MEANT for me to inspect the unit for defects....but (thankfully for me), the English language can be twisted to one's advantage if expressed with any hint of ambiguity, and especially so if put in writing....such as a text message!!!! Build Quality: Out of the mailbox, the first thing I noticed was how heavy the package was. Initially, I assumed it was the batteries and charger making up the weight. Nope....this mod is SOLID! For a guy who's only seen a couple mods in person, and held an Evic once, the sheer solidity of this Chinese-built mod completely took me by surprise. The threading is smooth, and holds well. The bottom firing button has a good tension, allowing the user to fire the unit with ease, yet does not depress when stood on end....even in 18650 mode with a full tank attached. The reverse-thread locking ring is a nice feature, and is fairly easy to get used to. However, it does stick if turned too hard in unlock mode. My only complaint with the build is the use of a plastic seat on top of the battery spring. I believe it would be a better idea to use a hot-spring rather than the plastic seat. Especially as this mod is being marketed as a "My First Mod" type kit for Vapers new to the world of mods. Performance: The K100 performs well right out of the box. For those using eGo-type units, this is a great step up. Users are strongly advised to upgrade the included batteries to better IMRs, upgrade the charger, and rely on other delivery systems than the included cartomizers. Outside of that, there is not a complaint to be had in this department. Fit and Finish: Perhaps the only aspect of the K100 that would put me off from buying one for myself would be in the looks department. In pictures, the unit looks clunky, and hard to hold in the hand. Honestly, it does not look near as bad in person. It feels comfortable, and natural in the hand. Especially in 18350 mode. However, it looks like something I'd find in my girlfriend's nightstand drawer. If you can get past the "Ribbed for Her Pleasure" look to the K100, properly research the use of mechanical mods (possibly investing in a mod fuse), and upgrade the batteries and charger then this mod is a great buy!!! I cannot think of any reason not to...for your first mod, or to add to your collection.
  10. Welcome to VaporTalk!!! Can't say I blame them for wanting to cut down on spam posts. Though some of their policies are asinine, the forum is just too big to effectively control, protect themselves, their suppliers, and their users all at once. Something has to give somewhere.... I will say, jumping through their hoops is worth it to participate in contests, co-ops, and gain access to their classifieds.
  11. Give it a try...order a sample bottle or two from the list Rixter provided (Ginger's RY4 from The Vapor Room, and VaporTalk's Dulcis are both excellent). What's the worst that could happen? You don't like it, so you go back to your daily vape, or try a few more variants...there are hundreds of them, and each have their own twist on the same basic theme.
  12. While they are owned by a Big Tobacco company, and their product has its faults, Blu gets props from me for a number of reasons. They have a public presence that Joye, SmokTech, Boge, and Vision do not. Hell, all those television commercials prompted my girlfriend to nag me about my smoking to the point I was ready to track down Stephen Dorff, and punch him in his ruggedly-handsome face, LOL!!! Blu is where a lot of new Vapers started their research. Though, not everyone is an internet dork like ourselves, and will not think of turning to forums for support in theory decision to quit smoking. Those vibrating packs synchronized to social media could be useful for new users to get in touch with other potentially new or experienced Vapers. Thereby, giving these Blu users a sense of community, and a network of people to turn to for help and support in quitting smoking. Kind of like a VaporTalk offline....

Think I found my first RBA... The sealed bottom tank, and the insulated wick hole were what sold me. The finish is also a big plus...I could definitely see myself putting this on any satin or brushed finish mod!!!
  14. Have a cig if you must...I guarantee it'll be the worst thing you've tasted, and will go right back to Vaping. Some people are able to stave off the cravings through sheer will-power, while others have to have the experience. One of my best friends (who is supposed to be my quitting buddy, LOL) can't stay away from cigarettes on his own. Even though I bust his balls on occasion, his tobacco usage is exponentially waning. He was a fifteen-year smoker, and has been Vaping since September. Everyone is different, though. Most of the time, merely smelling a freshly lit cig is enough to do it for me. Sometimes, I just hit the PV more. If anything, I'll comb the forums for threads like this...seeing others' trials, and courage to keep up the good fight is inspiring!!! I smoked for 22 years, and have been Vaping for only three months.
  15. Other Pythons: The Bumblebee Project....female Pastel Ball Python on the left, male Spider Ball on the right Albino Burmese Python female...she's only about 1 1/2 years old now, and a bit larger than pictured here. But, she's gonna get HUGE on us in the next year, LOL!!! Female Irian Jaya Carpet Python....this one will be bred to the male in post #3 come this fall. Female Ivory Jungle carpet python
  16. Boas: Female Brazilian Rainbow Boa....quite possibly my favorite genus of all boids. If I could only breed one type of snake, this would be it!!! One more year to go until both of our BRBs will be ready to breed!!! Hypomelanistic BCI male....really wish I had the room to breed this species. This guy is nothing but a big sweetheart!!! Female High-Pink Dumerils...one of our favorite Boas!!! This one will be bred once she gets big enough to be paired with our 7-foot male.
  17. No, they aren't hard to care for at all. Adults can be kept in a vertically-oriented 10-gallon aquarium (a 20-gallon high would be preferable) with a screen front. Line the cage with paper towels to make cleaning easier. Mist daily (twice daily for arid regions), feed every other day to every two days. They eat a powdered diet that you mix with water. This diet costs around $20 per pound. However, they eat so little that a pound of food feeds 10 geckos for about four to six months. Currently, I have two males available for sale. I might be breeding this year, but I wouldn't get a hatch for at least four or five months from now.
  18. Carpet Pythons: Male Irian Jaya (the one in my avatar) Male Striped Ivory Jungle...This pic is when I first got him. He's about 7-feet now, and one of my finest!!! Female Jungle (Will Leary line) Female Diamond x Jungle...we call her Pandora, because you don't want to open het box, and figure out what evil lurks inside, LOL!!!
  19. I'll start with a few of my favorite things: "Splat" - female crested gecko I produced in 2011 "Pumpkin" - female crested gecko I produced in 2011 "Kitten" - my first crestie. Male, and will be paired with the two females above Another good pic of Pumpkin
  20. Ok, everyone.... Just so we can get back to Vaping, I started up a reptile thread in The Lounge. Let's carry on this discussion there!!! Here's the thread:
  21. After a group of us reptile fanatics recently hijacked a thread in one of the main forums, I must first apologize to the rest of the forum on behalf of the reptile community. We can be pretty passionate about our pets, projects, and collections!!! Above all, we feel strongly enough about our pets to share the love with everyone we possibly can. Therefore I am starting our own thread just for us Reptile Enthusiasts!!! Post up your pics, projects, field trips, and questions for all of us in the reptile community here on VaporTalk. All I ask is that no one troll here. We do understand that some people are either afraid, or not as accepting, nor tolerant of exotic pets as we are. However, comments which are insulting, negative, derogatory, or otherwise offensive to our pets or our hobby WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. Such inflammatory posts (ie: "Squish it!!!," or "That would make a nice purse / boots / belt.") will be reported for removal. Have fun, and Happy Herping!!!!
  22. Thanks for the info, Uma!!! Stand by, as I might have more questions for you. For me, Roller SS. Probably going for a matte finish. Polished and my clumsy self do not mix too well, LOL!!!
  23. Hooray!!!! Vape-Mail just arrived in the nic (lol) of time!!!! 30ml of Ginger's RY4 from TVR 15ml of the same w/ flavor shot Both 12mg 50/50 blend I know I should let these steep, but I was down to almost the last of my juice. Even if I had enough juice to last another week, its been so long since Ginger and I had some quality Vaping time, that I simply could not wait to break into the delectable goodness!!!
