I have used the SR's and the LR's, the standards just don't burn hot enough for me. The LR attys hit it right on the head for every flavor I have tried so far. There are a few I can sneak a little bit more out of my VV device going to 5+volts...but not enough to bother most of the time. I have a great go to menthol, and I keep another filled with a random flavor, blueberry cheesecake at the moment.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with the Standard Resistance. They are just sitting, 4 in the unopened pack still since I got my Ego-C. I use Lr's all day long.

Mike the LR sometimes seems to be better with darker liquids I've found, but after using the LR for so long, I pretty much only use the LR atties anymore for some reason regardless of the liquid. I seriously have to agree with this topic. The C was my first device but I have now tried VV and boge carto's, and overall ease, the total package, I keep coming back to the C. It vapes great, good flavor, good vapor, soooooo easy to maintain...emphasis on EASY. I fill and go. Fill and go. I have dropped off on vaping so much that I fill once a day now and that lasts me all day. Cigarettes were way less convenient even. The only difference I've noticed is the wicking can be so slightly more slow you barely notice it. A+ Device on all fronts, really. PS: Leaking has never happened to me. Only con I can think of is spending the money on the other devices only to come back to the C. There are a lot of people on this board who SWEAR by boge carto's...can't say I was blown away, definitely was expecting more the way they are spoken of in comparison to my C.

Edit: I see in your post you mention carto's, EMDCC possibly being cheaper..maybe just a personal thing, but I have spent relatively nothing on my C since buying it. One of my cone's dethreaded, had to buy a new one ($12), outside of a little juice, I've been rotating the same two blisterpacks of atty's (boiling when they get nasty) for almost 3 months now. It's been ridiculously cheap. I've not even ran through my original juice purchases (30ml of VG, 60ml of pg's), and have purchased a few 10ml flavored juices. And that's shared between two people.

Always good to get a good explanation of volts/watts/ohms/mAH...if I hear it another 100 times, it might finally stick...my mind is more feeble than it used to be!

yes 3.8 V with 1.8 is about right for most. I have found that if you use a varable wattage mod you can go up on wattage and get good to great vapor and not a hot or burnt flavor and great throat hit

I think a mod is any device that leans away from the normal stick batteries. I.e. box mods big battery mods etc. that's just my opinion though.

Better hurry...my friends from work saw mine and are buying them up fast. They are available at quite a few sites, though.

At precisely three inches long, the PV above is perhaps my new favorite pocket tool for conducting clandestine vaping sessions while at work...strictly a no-smoking zone. Not wanting to get shot down before even explaining that I wasn't technically "smoking", I decided to keep my vaping on the sly to avoid confusion (and preserve job security).

It's supposed to put out about 3.4v, which, with a 1.7 ohm carto, puts you close to 7 watts! My 280 mAh e-cig lasts all day at work, since I don't use it a whole lot on the job, so this should do just fine. At $12, I couldn't have passed it up in any case.

BTW - this thing looks RIDICULOUS with a Boge 2.0 carto and drip tip!

Stay with the brick and mortor store !!!! there are so many knockoffs and junk out there most brick and mortor stores work with you and know the products well . ask friends who they go to , with out these mom and pop stores most would be lost . dont go there and get $100 of free advise then go online and save $ 2 that is close to being dishonest and at the least is dis honorable . most of these stores are a lot easier to deal with and will handle a faulty product on the spot

The clearos are very easy to use. Just unscrew the top cap and fill her up. I think there are a perfect size for going out and about. Looks like you've been doing your research. You ordered a great kit ans Sweet-Vapes makes awesome juices. I recommend their Nutty Coffee and Green Applebacco.

I'm in the same boat. I start off the day fairly light, like Mike said at work it's pretty spread out, less than i ever smoked. Then when i get home i eat dinner and after that the thing practically never leaves my mouth lol.

All in all tho i don't worry about the nic content, i vape 12mg which is fairly low, and I feel like vapers take relatively quick inhales. I take long mouth drags, but the inhale to exhale time i feel like is quicker than when i smoked, when i would take slow drags and inhale as i dragged. The longer it's in your lungs the more time there is for all the chemicals and nic to be absorbed.

No question about it...I'm a nicotine addict. I've heard it said, though, that we don't get as much nicotine from vaping as we would from smoking. There's a pretty good video I ran across from an addiction counselor who states we could vape nicotine for the rest of our lives and it wouldn't harm us. That's quite a relief considering I vape continuously, just as you described.

I suspect that some of us are more addicted to nicotine since we started vaping than we were while smoking.Think about it,if you are like me you vape from the time you roll out of the sack until you climb back in and keep it by your bed to puff on when you hear a bump in the night or get up to pee.If you are vaping high octane eliquid you would have to be consuming more nicotine during the course of a day than you ever could smoking.Any thoughts on the matter?

So I picked up a VAMO from electronicstix.com. I love this device but I've run into a problem. On my device the first battery tube that is supposed to be attached to the head comes off. This tube is just pressed onto the head. When I first received the device the device was "bent" and I realized that this tube was tilted to one side. I was able to push it back into place and all seemed fine. Now after about a week of daily use this tube is coming off more freely. I fear this is going to become an issue of just falling off. I have not contacted the vendor yet and I just wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this. I love the performance of the vamo but I have to figure out how to attach this in a more permanent fashion. Any insight will be great! Pics should be attached.

A 5ml eGo DCT Cone would do nicely to cover the eGo's outer threads and finish off the smooth look. Sure Vapes has 'em for $2.75 with free shipping, but there's a $5 minimum, so you might want to pick up a Nova replacement coil for $2.89 to get you above the $5 mark.
