I use both methods. But mostly carts.

This has probably discussed, but is there a common symptom when an atty starts to go bad? One of my 510's is still working, but it has a much harder draw to it. Vapor is still OK, but somewhat better with other attys. I've noticed this also with an 801 atty.

Just curious what the opinion of Vaping America is. Are you a Fair Tax Proponent? Me.......1000% in favor.

[quote name='FTJoe' date='12 February 2010 - 06:20 AM' timestamp='1265973659' post='34663 The issue at hand is we really do throw a lot of stuff up in the air. The warning is that if the consequences are true it will be too late by the time we see the actual issues arise (if not already). The GW scientists shot themselves in the foot recently by people finding out they may have been fudging some of the science, and we all know when you ask for something that will hurt big companies, the big companies find ways to get money to the folks that would make those laws. And to a large extent, doing the "right" thing will be a pain for most people. It does seem like the people who don't believe in it, don't have many facts on their side but that doesn't stop them from trying to tell us there is no issue. Just now in the northeast, two snowstorms and the news is airing the argument against GW because of the snow. The GW folks are pointing out (correctly) that this has nothing to do with temperatures, they are snowstorms, I think the temp, as it usually is for a good blizzard was just at and below freezing. GW folks say it supports the argument because with warmer temps, more water in the air, more precip. Makes sense but as you point out, could just be a cycle. What I do know, is many people are for or against, but most of us don't actually know, and the people that could do something about it (the world's beloved politicians) are still busy rewarding the banksters who brought the world's economy to its knees. Oh yeah - and flying their jets into the GW summit, then on to another airport to wait as that one couldn't handle all the jets, then back again to pick them up and take them home. And some of these folks got mad at the auto execs for flying into the hearings? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/copenhagen-climate-change-confe/6736517/Copenhagen-climate-summit-1200-limos-140-private-planes-and-caviar-wedges.html?=no I remember a comment a long time ago about the giant ego of Man. We use the term we are killing the earth and this comment basically pointed out the earth is fine, the ecosystem in place will repair most damage over time and re-balance. What we are killing is the ability for our species to remain alive on this Earth.

"It was when I read Shawshank Redemption that i decided Stephen King isn't a hack after all... I'm about 50/50 on his stuff so far, but always dig Dean Koonz." I know this is a movie thread, but check out King's book "Under The Dome". It's about as thick as the Bible, but an Excellent book!

That's interesting Schizo. I am the same way, smoking fast and drinking fast, but for different reasons. I tried to quit smoking so many times (and made the mistake of telling my non-smoking wife) that I had to hide my smoking habit when I started again. So I would run outside, I'd inhale a cig in seconds, downwind of course. Or, I'd run outside at work, catch a quick cig, and go back in. It got to be so even when I had plenty of time, I was smoking fast, and often times lighting 2-3 one after another. Quickly, started on Kent (mom's cigs) as a teen. Switched to Old Gold, then Kent Golden Lights for several years. Then went to Marlboro Lights (Kent didn't come on a hard pack), and eventually Ultra Lights for about the last 5-6 years. I started vaping on 18MG, and switch between that and 11MG now. I haven't had an anaolg since my very first pull on an e-cig!

Thanks everyone. I look at majorgeeks too Joe, and they are useful. Problem is I haven't had enough time in a day to go through their entire cleaning guide! But right after I posted this, I remembered a program (malwarebytes) that I downloaded on another computer in the house, and downloaded it. Even after running Norton 360, that thing found like 50 issues. It seems to have gotten rid of the problem, plus has made my PC run a whole lot faster. Curious about your comment on using IE? I hear about firefox alot, but I'm afraid to download. What will I lose/have to reload if I change browsers? I'm just good enough on a PC to really screw things up!

I have a very annoying problem with my computer. Would love some direction. Often, while on Internet Explorer, I get what appears to be a radio station start playing. It does not appear in Windows Task Manager, and I have tried deleting all wierd programs in Control Panel Add/Remove. If it's playing, it will play right over any other program I'm running with sound. Only way I can get it to go away quickly is to restart. Any Suggestions are appreciated.

As a Nebraskan born-and-raised, now living in Georgia, you guys would not believe what happens here when it snows. We got about 3-4" on Friday, and even before it started snowing (Thursday night) they started cancelling school all across the state! By Saturday evening, the roads were clear from melting, but there was even several churches that cancelled services today (Sunday). Plus, there is no bread, milk, or batteries in the stores until Monday. I can only recall having school cancelled maybe 3-4 times growing up in the Midwest. That said, I can't recall many winters like what you guys are getting this year!

Do your juices still taste the same? Better? Just curious.

Although I have some time to get one of the other choices here, I think I have made a decision. I appreciate all the input ya'll have given, but I think I'm initially going with the least popular suggestion, and getting a Screwdriver. There are multiple reasons why: 1) The Screwdriver can be purchased with adapters for all the atty's I have. Comes with adapter for the 801 and 510 (which I have) and a 901 atty in the kit (from Arno) 2) The batteries are available from multiple sources, not just e-cig vendors. 3) Sounds like the batteries will really last. 4) Arno has been very good to me, answering all my questions, shipping is fast, he's close by, and I'm out of his Apple juice, which is currently my favorite. (I've been married for 30 years, and worked for the same company for 30 years. If nothing else, I'm loyal ) All that said, I really want an Ego, and the newest Taylormade driver!
-
OK...The scoring here (with .5 awarded to each suggestion where there is 2 recommended) the tally is: Ego = 4 Spade = 4 Screwdriver = 1 At this point, I want all 3 in my possession by the end of April!!! But I haven't done my taxes yet either.

I'm still trying to figure out where carguy50 buys a pack of 12 1/2 cigerettes?
-
I actually quit analogs one time for 4 months. What got me started again? This same golf trip thats coming up! In looking at the Ego, I guess it uses a 510 atty? I like the idea of the Spade or Screwdriver where you only have to pop another 10440 battery into the unit. Extra batteries for the Ego are about $25. Seems a little more expensive than the other options.
-
Thanks for the input. I just saw something on the Ego, so will check it out. The trip is not until the end of April, so I have plenty of time. This will be my first big battery. I'm actually still using all my original equipment (801 and 510S) Joe, I also am a back-up freak. Believe me, I'm planning on taking my whole tackle box of supplies, minus a few things just in case I do something stupid like leave it/lose it/drop it in water. But analogs cannot be an option.

Mods, if you think this post should be moved to the mod forum, please do so. I have a 4 day guy golf outing coming up, and do not want to be out of battery by the 8th holes every day. So I need to get a mega battery that will carry me through 27 hole (and a few hours of clubhouse drinking and lying) a day. I'm down to the Spade or the Screwdriver, and would love some expert opinion. I'm also not closed to more options. Thanks in advance for the input.

Aw..carguy50, you owe me a new keyboard! I just sprayed Miller Lite all over mine reading that!

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but as I was reading thru topics, many comment on the amount of $ savings they see by vaping. Several comment on the cost when first getting started, but then start to realize savings, but are not sure how much. Here is a suggestion for you to track your investments/savings. I started an excel spreadsheet the day I received my first shipment of e-cig supplies. Column A is the date. Column B is $ spent including shipping on e-cig supplies (shown as a negative number). Column C is the daily cost of the number of analogs I would have smoked (in my case, 1 pack a day at $5.00 each) This is shown as a positive. On the top of the spreadsheet, I have Column B - Column C total of very big font! It's fun to see the progress your making. I recently added Column D, which simply shows 20 (1 pack) of analogs not smoked. That's the one my wife particularly enjoys! Numbers to date: $53.22 supplies over savings (just ordered again today though) and over 1000 analogs not smoked.

I smoked roughly a pack a day, and usually bought them 3 packs at a time from the local Qwik Trip. So I was getting gas every 3 days, whether I needed it or not, buying 3 packs of cigs, and putting all on the QT card. My wife commented just yesterday that the QT bill went down $150.00 this month.

Thanks mcquinn!.. Question about the 901 cart. Do they fit inside the 510 atty so that they can be used with filler? The 801 I'm using fits on the outside of the atty, so I cannot use a filled cart. Thanks again.
-
I had thought I had seen a thread on putting the flat tip mouthpiece on a 510. I couldn't find it quickly, so decided to remove the filler holder (white part) from an 801 cart, leaving only the mouthpiece tip. After a slight struggle, I got it on the 510 atty. Dripped a couple drops on the atty, and I'm vaping away! Smooth taste and lots of vapor. (Well, battery just ran out of charge and my backup isn't charged yet ) It is a little snug on the atty, and I can see it stretching and not fitting well real soon. Any more permanent mods or anywhere to get flat carts for the 510? Thanks for the help.

It's like building a better mousetrap. There's a perfectly good one out there, but there has to be a better one!
