Brian reacted to Synther in Joye Tech Evic
Tried my best friend's eVic tonight while we were out for sushi. This thing is freaking awesome. Set it for 10v and it spews out vapor like a VW Bug with no muffler. It's really cool how you can dial in the settings just the way you want. Highly recommended.

Wiley Coyote and the Roadrunner....I guess that's just Looney Tunes? Definitely my favorite. I also like Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, etc.

Brian reacted to Tam in Gurgly Stardusts
When that happens on any of my clearomizers I just unscrew the thing, carefully wipe the battery connection end to get the extra e-liquid out and dry. Then, with a tissue, I blow into the clearmozier (gently but firmly) to get as much of the liquid out and dab a clean corner of tissue into the end of the clearomizer. Screw on and vape. The gurgly sound usually happens when I over tip the thing...
Hope that helps

Brian reacted to nana in Benefits Of 5V Vaping Over 3.7V Lr Vaping?
When I first started vaping, we didn't have any 5v and we didn't have any LR attys or cartos. And yet, I started vaping and never looked back. It was that good. But then came the 5v devices and we all thought we were in heaven! Of course, back then, we had to be plugged in to the wall to get that 5v, but it was worth it. When they came out with LR attys, I thought it was very close to a 5v vape. Not quite the same, but close. It was so much better for me that I knew I would never go back to the regular attys. Now I own a lava tube and switch back and forth between it, my provape and my eGo. There is a difference in that the 5v vape is hotter and you do get more vapor, but I don't think it's so much more that I would call it "superior". Just my opinion. I use my lava tube or provape when I'm sitting at the computer or watching tv, but my eGo is better for carrying around in my pocket when I'm up and about and doing "stuff".
I wouldn't say that you "need" to go to 5v. If you're happy with what you have, that's great - that's more important than anything else. If you "want" to try the 5v and for a reasonable price, I'd suggest you try the lava tube.

Brian reacted to Breal in Do You Vape In Public Places?
Discretion. I try to not impose upon people--it's just one of my things. If I truly must, I try to be as discrete as possible. After all, it's not their fault I'm addicted to nicotine, and I do realize that there is a minuscule amount of nicotine in the air after an exhale. I know it's not dangerous, but I try to be polite. Plus, I know that Vaping is on sensitive ground. I hope that, in time, people will become less ignorant to the life-saving aspect of vaping as compared to cigarettes. Do I wish I could vape openly at my desk? Of course I do. But, it's probably something that should never happen.

Brian got a reaction from Uma in Want Vv Mod, Lavatube Or Clone?
MY AWs took several charges before they got up to speed. I was very disappointed in the battery life of my Provari when I first got it, but after each battery had been charged several time I started getting 10-14 hours.

Brian got a reaction from kitsune in A Quick Question About Nic Strebgths In E-Juice
The density of nicotine is 1.01 grams per 1 ml. 24mg div 1000 = .024 grams per ml. 0.024 grams X the density of 1.01 = 0.024, or 2.4%.
Not sure that's 100% correct, but sounds good.

Brian reacted to mcquinn in Looking For A Vv Passthru That I Saw Somewhere?
I put mine in a plastic project box and put a USB jack on the side so I can plug in cell phones or passthroughs.I had a 18 volt wall wart on it at first but since I keep it dialed down to 4 or 5 volts it got pretty hot so I switched to the 6 volt wall wart and it works very good.It is supposed to get hot that is why the heat sink is on it but heat means wasted electricity. You could also plug it into the 12 volt conveinience outlet in your vehicle with a lighter adapter.

Brian got a reaction from Breal in Does Vaping Really Feed The Monkey For You?
It took about 8-10 months before I stopped having any cravings. Early on, they were pretty mild, but after vaping for about two months, the cravings got bad. That's what took me down the high voltage path. I was alway able to vape heavily and get though the cravings.

Welcome to Vapor Talk!
I agree with Jeff and Kitsune. Get some bigger batteries (eGo) with LR attys. Try direct dripping with the attys and get some Boge 2.0ohm cartomizers for when dripping isn't convenient.
The 100% VG juice will give you huge vapor, but will probably have a softer throat hit. You may want to look for something in between. I usually use a mix of 20-30% VG.

My batteries are the 650s and 7 seconds isn't bad...I just don't like to be "told" when to stop. Okay, I may be a bit stubborn, but I'm getting old and like getting my own way.

Don't forget some pipettes. You'll need nicotine also unless you just plan to doctor up the eliquid you already have.
I like ecigexpress for flavorings because they carry just about every manufacturer (Loranns, TPA (called Signature Series), FA, FlavorWest).

For nic, I usually get mine from myfreedonsmokes (use "20off" for 20% discount - not sure when that expires, but they just about always have a code):

I would also recommend reading Kitsune's DIY basics:

Brian reacted to bobthesalesclerk in Occupy Wall Street
I haven't read through this thread but
I moved to San Francisco about 6 months ago. Because of some very unfortunate circumstances I ended up homeless for a little bit. I had to stay with the occupy crowd for a little bit and what a joke it was. The people sucked, only about 5% actually had any idea what they were trying to accomplish, they were complete pricks to anyone who looked like they had a bit of money, and when i told some of them I was job hunting they looked at me like I was crazy.
Pretty much a bunch of kids who don't want to work and think they should get handouts for doing nothing. Biggest joke I have ever seen. If youre pissed about no making money GET A JOB!

Brian got a reaction from Uma in Provari = Tough
This is not really a review, but more of a follow up as to how durable the Provari is. I've been using it for about a year now, but have been pretty fortunate in not having really given it a beating. Well, we've had some nice weather over Christmas and the kids got some outside stuff so we've been spending some time outside while the weather is nice. My Provari has now taken several falls from my shirt pocket to the concrete driveway so I can say with confidence that this thing is rock solid. It's scraped up pretty good now, especially around the battery cup. The last fall actually cracked my drip tip, but the Provari keeps working perfectly.

Brian got a reaction from Christopher in Does Vaping While Sick Suck As Much As Smoking?
I haven't had any problems vaping while sick. I have heard some say that vaping hurt when they were sick, my wife was one of them. You may want to keep your mouth piece or drip tip cleaned more often though so you don't reinfect yourself.
