  1. I had been under the impression that the Yeti was a Joye, so the atty should be 2.2 ohm. Have you check the ohms on one?
  2. With those hours, you'd be a good candidate for the new eGo/Tornado PCC. Gald you're enjoying the eGo.
  3. I don't see why not, since they are both LiFePO4, but I don't know enough about batteries to say. I never could find any info on the batteries that came with the Joker. You may shoot vaprlife an email and ask if it's okay. Here's the kit I ordered... 6 batts and charger for $37. BatteryJunction
  4. After making the switch to 5/6v, I can not go back to 3.7.
  5. Actually, now that I think about it, the ones that come out of the boil not working go back into the glass. I think I've only thrown away a couple of attys and that was because I ripped them apart. PM me address and when I go through them next time I'll get them off to you. Do you want used cartomizers also?
  6. I think the edit option is only available for 60 minutes after the original post. So, you can't go back and change a post after a certain period of time (not sure it's 60 minutes, but something like that).
  7. Thanks for the follow up! I run it at 6 or 6.5 most of the time and have never noticed it getting hot, but I will definately start checking it and keeping an eye on it. I've been using it for about 5 months with no problems. Maybe since there's not a constant draw of power from it, it's not over loading (or whatever the correct terminology is). Would probably be a different story if I was hooked to something that was always on.
  8. We actually have a member who uses a water pick, or at least he use to. Don't know if he still does it. I have seen some vids of people using peroxide, but you need to make sure you flush it out with water real good after. I quit cleaning attys a long time ago. When one dies or gets funky tasting, I toss it in a glass. Once I have quite a few piled in, I'll boil them in distilled water. If any make it out alive, great, if not, trash. I'm a bit lazy. I do blow it out regularly and use a little rolled up piece of paper towel, inserted in the end, to absorb out any excess/old juice. Keeps me going pretty good.
  9. I think she meant reviews of the vendor??? vaporsetc.com. I've never heard anything about them.
  10. I'll add that I've never used the LiFePO4s that came with the Joker. I'm using Tenergy LiFePO4s. Moved to Technical Issues.
  11. Does the unit shut off, or just go to blue? Reason I ask is because with a Joye 510 (2.2ohm), my light always turns blue because the LiFePO4's can't hold over 5.2V under load. I've also had it do this with a carto from time to time. May also clean out your connector on the Joker to make sure there's no juice in it. I would try another atty or carto and see if it does the same thing. If you have a meter, check the voltage of the batteries... fresh charged will be about 3.6V. After a little use, they should hang around 3.2V for a while. Oh - The charge isn't suppose to over charge, but IDK.
  12. Ah - I'm with you now. Sorry, but I direct drip - don't use carts. I never had much luck with them. You do want to keep the filler material good and wet though. You'll be able to tell when it's getting low, or not releasing the juice. Just check it once in a while and add a few drops as needed. I would definately take a bottle of juice with you. If I recall correctly, a cart only hold about 10 drops so it's not going to last long. Oh - may find that dripping give you a better throat hit and vapor.
  13. Everyone is different. I tried many many different flavors early on, but for the most part I had one flavor that worked for me and was my "all day vape". Even now I only have a couple of flavors that I use 99% of the time.
  14. I was looking around and if it is a Smoke51 Trio, then I think you're looking for RN4081 models. Atomizer Compatability
  15. Is it a Smoke 51 Trio? If you can post a link it may be helpful in identifying it. P.S. - Welcome to Vapor Talk!
  16. Lots of good info. Propylene Glycol
  17. I went over and browsed around a bit and it's miserably slow trying to scroll. Wasn't that way before.
  18. After plugging in the volts and resistance, here's what I get... Listed as Enercell setting, Volts under load, Watts and Amps: 5.0V - 4.15V - 7.83 - 1.88 6.0V - 4.95V - 11.14 - 2.25 6.5V - 5.43V - 13.40 - 2.47 7.0V - 5.87V - 15.66 - 2.67 Does this mean that the conclusion you can draw is that the Enercell can deliver more than 2Amps of current? Just tried this on my SB with LiFePO4s. The batts were not freshly charged, but were still measuring 3.3V (6.6V for the two) (I think 3.2V is the normal operating voltage). Here's what I got: 6.6V - 5.44V - 13.45 - 2.47 And this confirms what I've said before... my enercell at 6.5V gives me the same vaping performance that I get from the LiFePO4s. 6.6V -
  19. I made one of those adapters and here's what I came up with using my SB/PT and the 2A Enercell (first # is the enercell setting, 2nd number is the volts under load measured): 5V = 4.15V 6V = 4.95V 6.5V = 5.43V 7V = 5.87V I didn't go up to 7.5V because I could smell my atty cooking. I was using a Joye 510 that measured 2.2ohm exactly. I did not use the leads with alligator clips because they added some resistance, so I just managed to hold the leads in place while pushing the button. My meter has 0 resistance.
  20. Ummm. My tip would have been to keep your analogs handy until you get through the learning curve. When I started vaping I smoked during the day at work and vaped in the evening. Did that for 4 days and quit smoking on a Saturday, but kept my analogs close. So, don't put to much pressure on yourself to quit smoking, it's not a failure if you have an analog. However, I would say that if you get a bad craving for an analog, vape heavily for a bit to get through it.
  21. I don't think the models will be compatible. The eGo is fully 510 compatible, so when getting replacement parts you can you can get 510 attys and cartomizers. I would get blank carts so you can fill them with your own juice. Regular 510 catomizers will hold around 25 - 30 drops of juice. The are refillable, but should be considered disposable, so after refilling a few times, toss it. Some people clean them and use them much long.
  22. Looking at the epuffer web site, it looks like on the eqliquid bottles, high is 16mg. I think what the website shows is the nic %, so 1.6% mg = 16mg per ml. So on the bottles of juice, it looks like you have 16mg from epuffer and 24mg from SS Choice. If 8mg was working, I'd stick to the 6 to 12mg range. Wordup has a sample pack where you get 5 bottls of 5ml juice for $20. Maybe pick up a few different strengths until you find what's right for you?
  23. Cool vids - thanks for posting that. I think I'll make one of those adapters tomorrow and do some testing under load. I didn't realize you could do it that way.
