  1. Nice review! That was some crazy vapor!
  2. I just posted in your other post. It appears to be a KR808. I think you'll like it. I had not heard of Cigarti, but they appear to be a little over priced. I would suggest shopping around when you start looking for replacement cartridges - you can get them a lot cheaper.
  3. Gotta give the supplier credit for getting it out the door fast. Glad you're liking the eGo.
  4. Do you know what kind of atty you got (Joye, SLB, etc...)? The Joye 510 generally has a lower resistance than the other brands so it gives a better hit. The Joye is 2.2ohm where other brands run closer to 3ohm.
  5. I've thought about using a heatsink the next time I make one, but it never occured to me to use a thermal compound. I have some Artic Silver (and some other stuff... OZC I think). Interesting.
  6. Interesting... my mod mind working now... think that could be used to make a PV. Where's Jolly - your thoughts?
  7. If you can't buy a bottle of VT Cola on the 15th, I'll send you one.
  8. Here's what I'm using now, but really want one of those. My link
  9. Those are the ones Jesso (vaprlife) uses. Haven't ordered any yet, but those are the ones I plan to get.
  10. Very cool - I may just have to get one of those.
  11. I think China will continue to ship anything we want to buy, but yes, some will get seized. But how much time is going to be spent looking for packages sent to individuals? My guess is with the volume of shipments coming in, they won't get many, but I could totally be wrong. Not the news I wanted to hear today.
  12. I've seen a few articles like this put out by "World of E Cigarettes". Seaching the net, these articles show up on various news sites. I was looking into one from a few days ago "ACS Shuns Ecigs in favor of real thing" (below) and found that the story is being picked up from 24-7pressrelease.com, which appears to only have stories put out by businesses. Not sure what my point is, just a skeptical of the source... seems to be some type of advertising gimmick. Not saying it's a bad thing - it is geting info out there, but it being written and published by "World of E Cigarettes" to draw more traffic to their site. WAVERLY, Tenn., Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Cancer Society continues to attack electronic cigarettes and falsely label them as dangerous and ineffective, while the number of people using the products is increasing by 20,000 to 30,000 a week. Despite the ACS's claims, e cigarette reviews by consumers are still flooding in all over the Internet that smokers who are switching to e cigarettes and e liquid are breathing, tasting, and sleeping better than they ever did while smoking traditional cigarettes. By penning their own legislation and bringing it before state lawmakers, the ACS and multiple other agencies are currently trying to make a case for the outright banning of the e cigarette on a state level nationwide while not actively attempting to have cigarettes restricted from retail stores where they are easily visible by youth. The ACS has made it clear in its presentation on state regulation of e cigarettes that they do not want safety regulations on the products; they simply want them banned as a whole. Regardless of the fact that statistics show that most smokers who quit "cold turkey" do not resume smoking and that 95% of nicotine replacement therapy (nicotine gums and patches) users only quit for a short period of time, the American Cancer Society refuses to state anything other than pharmaceutical company products are the "safe and effective" way to stop smoking. They also refuse to acknowledge that the majority of their operations funds comes from contributions from pharmaceutical companies. In a society that has always told smokers to "quit or die", people who use e cigarettes have finally found some relief and no longer feel ostracized by family and friends. The ACS and FDA pushing for the products to be pulled off the market, however, is fanning a fire that is growing by the day, as smokers who have switched to e cigarettes will be all but forced by the establishment to go back to their old ways. This means spending hundreds of dollars (in some cases, the equivalent of rent) on an addiction that is touted as one of the most difficult on the planet to overcome. E-smokers remain a growing population in the United States and worldwide, despite efforts by generously funded special interest groups to squash the only legitimate smoking alternative currently on the market. 13. I had to read this a few times before I realized you were saying that 2-3 cartosn of cigs lasted you less than 3 weeks. I thougth you were saying you Joker only lasted 3 weeks! Phew! Had me worried. I think the price complaints were for the original joker... it was $169 when first released ($150 for the first 10-15 customers), and it wasn't AV then.
  14. Still on cartos? I've never gotten a decent TH from cartos, even at 5V and with 24mg. That's the main reason why I only use them when I can't drip (driving).
  15. Crap - that was a typo - should be $27, not $37.
  16. Welcome to Vapor Talk! I agree with MrsJaaxx. One of the great factors of this forum is that everyone is understanding and non-judgmental. When I smoked, there was nothing worse than being told by a non-smoker (or even worse, an ex-smoker) that I should just quit.
  17. I haven't been juiced by a carto since I started using a drip tip on it. I remove the drip tip to refill, don't drip through it. Also, after filling, I usually put a paper towel over the battery end and gently glow through it until the gurgling stops. This blows out any excess juice.
  18. The DVM is in stock, they just didn't remove the "comming soon". My recomendation would be to get the base unit (not the kit with batteries) and then buy some 3.7V RCR123As. The stock batteries are only 400 mAh, and being LiFePO4s, they can't sustain 5.2V under load so the LED goes blue with every hit when using a 2.2ohm Joye 510.
  19. Yeah - the "instructions" are pretty weak. LOL! Yes, over 5.2V keeps the LED green.
  20. If you haven't seen it yet, the post below gets really good starting at post #27. My link
  21. Yea - I think they should include the DVM standard and switch to the 3.7V batteries. It can use either the 3V LiFePO4s or the 3.7V RCR123A. Changing the batteries would eliminate this confusion (I think). Or, they could change it so that the light turns blue when it drop below 5V instead of 5.2V.
  22. The voltage that controls the LED is measured from the batteries. When the voltage drops below 5.2, the light will turn blue. Even though your batteries are charged, the voltage that the batteries can deliver will drop below 5.2 with a Joye 510 atty.
  23. Well, it seems that the adjustable screw never stops turning. I turned and turned and turned. My plan was to turn it as far as it would go and then give you the voltage going back one turn at a time, but that won't work. You're going to need a volt meter or the DVM to know where you're starting. Sorry!
  24. You can download the instructions at vaprlife (link below... then scroll to the bottom of the page). Vaprlife I ordered the DVM (digital volt meter) from vaprlife also: Vaprlife DVM I believe turning it to the right increases the voltage, left decreases. I'll play with mine a bit and get back to you on how to know about where it's at on the setting. What atty are you using? The light turns blue when the voltage from the batteries drops below 5.2V. With a Joye 510 atty, the LiFePO4s cannot sustain a 5.2V under load, so the light will turn blue. I use cartos mostly on my Joker the the light stays green until the batteries start getting low.
