This is a pretty good read on ECF. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/announcements-rules/269461-exploding-mods-update-february-2012-a.html While not 100% verified, sounds like both of the most recent incidents were from using stacked batteries in a metal tube mod. While I haven't pitched them yet, I certainly will never use my LiFePO4s again. LOL!

I really really really want one of these. Tax refund due in soon - may be my first new mod since I got the Provari. LOL!

Just FYI - I've heard that people get much better performance from the LT if they get good batteries instead of the stock batteries that come with it.

The V3 is 5 volts? I would go with a VV and set it to 5V.

What's Your Favorite Delivery System?
Brian replied to blucavvy's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Direct dripping with a regular Joye 510 atty at high voltage was my staple for two years. I liked the eGo-T, but my first couple of attys worked great, then things went down hill and the attys became inconsistent. However, the eGo-T is what finally got my wife to make the switch and after 6 months of using that, she was able to quit all togehter. Never liked cartos until recently. I think now that I've been able to get down to lower voltage may be why I like cartos now, but not really sure. I've been using them for about two months and they're working for me. -
And don't be surprised if what you like changes. I hated cartos for a long time, just felt like something was missing when I used them. I would use them when I was driving or fishing, but that was it. I direct dripped most of the time. About two months ago I started using cartos pretty much full time and they're working for me.

That looks familiar.

Nice! That's going to do well.

Yes, you are missing something. He's going to use the epower 14650 and 18650 parts so you will be able to replace the battery. The pic is just a Riva battery, but his plan is not to just use a riva battery.

We've all got one of those. LOL! Welcome to VaporTalk and congrats on making the switch.

Welcome to the forum! Make yourself at home.

Only as a last resort!

What are you using for power? If you're using a USB wall adapter, you need one that's 2amp. Many are only 0.5amp (500 mah) and that's not enough to power it.

Welcome to the forum!

Nope. Haven't been trying much new stuff lately.

LOL! Must be why they keep adding more and more strings! I've never used one as purchased, but I have pulled them apart to use in my GPSSR. Even with that I had to lay it sideways to get it to wick. However, it seem there are a lot of people out there that like them.
-
It's like a cartomizer, but with no filler. The coil is at the top and the juice wicks up the wicking material (the stringy looking stuff). There a quite a few different kinds (different ohms, different manufacturers, etc.). http://www.madvapes.com/Bauway-510-XL-CE2-Style-Clear-Cartomizers-17-ohm-5-pack_p_3309.html

You can use a regular 510 atty on your eGo-C battery. All the eGo batts are the same and have the 510 connection. If you want to use an eGo-C or eGo-T atty on the Lavatube, then you'll need a 510-eGo adapter.
-
That is the same as the Lavatube. It's all over the place now with different names. Goodprophets, Electronicstix and TotallyWicked have them also (and a few other places).

They do - mystic. http://www.misticecigs.com/index.php Go to the store locater and punch in your zip. Although I haven't actually seen one at my Walmart (haven't looked), I hear they do have them.
-
I've yet to have a carto die. However, they start to taste a little off and the filler starts to look like a used cigarette filter and sometimes the draw will get tight. I vape a lot and probably have to fill a carto 8-10 times a day, so that's still a lot of fills over a week.

Blu uses Johnson Creek eLiquid, which I've heard is pretty good. Wonder if they're using the same eliquid in these kits. Oh - you can get mystic kits at Wal-mart no.

Welcome to Vapor Talk! I agree with Jeff and Kitsune. Get some bigger batteries (eGo) with LR attys. Try direct dripping with the attys and get some Boge 2.0ohm cartomizers for when dripping isn't convenient. The 100% VG juice will give you huge vapor, but will probably have a softer throat hit. You may want to look for something in between. I usually use a mix of 20-30% VG.

Wow! Yes - do be careful with that 100mg nic! I usually use 48mg to mix with. Even when I got some 100mg I mixed it all down to 48mg at one time so I only had to handle it once. I wouldn't use 100mg to mix with regularly. TPA Cotton Candy is a great sweetener.
