You can also get a 510 adapter and try a 510 atty. If you're really wanting to see what everyone is talking about, try the 510. Below is a link to the adapter. You can pick on up just about anywhere. My link

You can, but it's a very tight draw. Not sure if using a KR to 901 adapter would help. I assume the KR808 to 901 adapter was created to help with air flow, but not sure. EDIT: OK - just gave it another try and it's not bad. My 901 may have been plugged up a little, but seems to be working okay now.

There was another thread on this somewhere and I'm pretty sure someone said they had both (Riva and eGo) and they have charged each one on the other charger with no problems. Don't see why they wouldn't be compatible.

It'll come. Remember to take long slow drags. It's not like an analog. I had a problem with that concept when I started. Draw gently. For direct dripping, 2-3 drops should get you 5-7 drags +/-.

I'm well stocked and that's all I'm going to say about that. (moved to general discussion)

Coffee and caramel are difficult to mix well. I haven't found much yet to do with them that have really liked enought to make more.

Congrats!!!

I would definately try the LR attys on the eGo first. If you like that, then start looking into 5V mods.

Def A Passthrough Or Another Starter Set
Brian replied to my2heartboys's topic in General Vaping Discussion
What do you have? Just having a PT will limit you to only vaping by the computer or a wall outlet. If you go with the PT you'll need to by attomizers. If you can swing it, go with a 510 kit and add a PT. -
Yes, Cignot sells genuine Joye products. I've ordered several $35 "no box" kits from them for friends.
-
Don't give up because of this bad experience. There are a LOT of sucess stories here from member who started with something that didn't work well. Look into the 510 or eGo and you'll see that the difference is night and day.
-
If a vendor is selling genuine Joye, they won't be shy about telling you. Not all, but many of the vendors selling other brands are the ones that won't advertise who the manufacturer is.

Just Canceled My Order From Blu, Now I Could Use Some Advice!
Brian replied to goose0512's topic in New Vapers Forum
ElectronicStix - has 510 cartomizer kit. Also has regular 510 kits and eGo kits. Discount code VTALK10 for 10% off. -
Stealth vaping just mean vaping inconspicuously. However, you can hold your breath a little longer before exhaling and it will greatly reduce the amount of vapor you blow out.
-
I usually blow through it first to get out as much of the primer crap as I can (tastes bad). The drip in about 6 drops and go. Vape it as usual and it should come around. The primer taste can linger for a while though, even when blown out.

I don't get it often, but when I do it's just like you described. Doing something that I know I haven't done before, and it sure feels eerie.

Charging Ego Batteries Without Fully Draining
Brian replied to Schlitz's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I thought since eGo batteries have PCB they could not be fully drained? -
With attomizers, you'll either need to direct drip into it or use the cartridege and fill it with eliquid. If I recall, cartridges hold 8-10 drops and won't last very long. The problem with cartridges is that they sometimes don't do a very good job of releasing the liquid. With cartomizers you and put in 25-30 drops of liquid and they'll last a while before they need refilling. They can generally be refilled several times at least.

Ejuice contains Propylene Glycol (PG) and/or Vegtable Glycerine (VG) and flavoring. PG and VG are uses in many products that we all use on a daily basis. While they are considered safe, again, there are no long term studies related to inhaling them. As an alterntive to smoking, I'm willing to accept any risk that comes with it.
-
If you don't smoke, I would encourage you to stay away from ecigs. There have been no long term studies on the health effects of vaping, but for most of us who switch from smoking to vaping, it's a risk we're willing to take. Most of us assume that it's safer than smoking.

Weird Tornado Battery Issue
Brian replied to BEERCITYVAPRZ's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I looked at an ego battery and the gap between the center post and the edge is pretty small. I had to use one of the smaller screw drivers to get in there. When I've done it on my SB, it not really like "lifting" it... just work around the edge gently "prying" it. It's really like you're just wiggling it around, but it worked for me. I think it just gets squished down to far and needs to be loosened up, which causes it to push back up on it's own. -
Weird Tornado Battery Issue
Brian replied to BEERCITYVAPRZ's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I've had to liff the connector (center post) up a few times on my SB. Some attys just wouldn't make a good connection. I used a small screw driver (from a precision screwdriver set) and just worked my way around the edge gently. Should work on the eGo battery, but can't be sure. -
Diffence Of Vg With/without Ethyl Alcohol
Brian replied to CoffinLess's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
I didn't know anyone was actually selling VG with ethyl alchohol premixed. Some use Ethyl Aclchohol (or PGA = Pure Gain Alchohol = ie. Everclear) to thin the VG (it's very thick). Some also claim that PGA helps improve the throat hit. I've never used it, so can't say. -
The 520 is the same as the 510 but has mega batteries (280 mah vs. 180 mah). Still uses the 510 atty - so you're on the right track.
-
Also keep in mind that automatic batteries are not sealed so juice an get in them and ruin them. I tried a couple of auto batteries and the worked pretty good, but didn't last very long before they wouldn't activate.
