Welcome to Vapor Talk! Not sure what greensmoke is compatible with. From the link below, looks like KR808-D2. I'm not sure how the KR808-D2 differs from the KR808-D1. My link

Weird Tornado Battery Issue
Brian replied to BEERCITYVAPRZ's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I knew what you meant. Were you able to get it working? -
Glad you were able to figure something out! I keep hearing about removing the bridge, but I've never done it (never had a need to I guess).

Nice review! Makes me want to put my VP/PT back in rotation. Vaprlife often has these on sale now for $69.00 (for the kit) and $59.00 (unit only). Good deals. You can also get them with the 510 or 801 fitting now. I always enjoyed the 302 on it.

Sounds like you have nothing to lose at this point. Let us know the results. I don't see how it could be the battery. It would have to be putting out high voltage to cause that and I'm not sure that's possible with the ego battery.

I think the "Cisco" LR 306 is what a lot of people are talking about. These are both 1.5hom. My link

I would save that as a lost resort. It works well, but can kill the atty.
-
It doesn't matter, but I usually aim for the metal part that stick up (the bridge) also.
-
I would agree with Dayvape on the VG. Unless you have a problem with PG, I'd try some, or a PG/VG mix. I've found that going much over 30% VG does tend to bog down an atty. Some will disagree, just gotta find what works for you.

I usually blow through the open end while holding a paper towel over the battery end (to catch the juice). Before washing it with water, you may just try blowing it out real good. Then roll up a small piece of paper towel and insert in into the atty and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to get out all the excess juice. After blowing out an atty, it usually takes 5-6 drops to prime. If that doesn't work, I 'd try running water through it. Maybe someone else has some suggestions.

Congrats! May sound strange, but I really like to vape Sweet Dawn with a cup of coffee. It's an interesting combo.

The metal/burn taste is usally a sign of a dry atty. Are they LR attys, or regular? They've been working fine for 5 days? And that it would just start, and on all attys. Have you tried different flavors? You may want to try washing one... blow through it real good, run hot water through it, blow it out and let it dry over night. See if that helps.

Here's my little story... not much really. When my Dad was getting ready to retire from the Army, we looked at several houses to buy. He found one he really liked, but when we were looking at the place the elderly gentleman selling it started crying several times while walking around the house/property with us. He had built the house himself and it was his pride and joy. My Dad told the Realtor that as much as he liked the house, he couldn't take the old man's home. The Realtor convinced my parents that the man had had a stroke and wasn't able to take care of the house and property and really need to sell it. He said they had already found a smaller place in town that they were going to buy. So, my parents bought the house. A few months later the gentleman was walking across the street up town and was hit and killed by a car. I don't know if this has anything to do with my story, but I like to think it does. In the basement of the house was a wood burning stove. It has a door and grate on the front and a damper on the pipe going to the chimney. At night, you load it up with wood, let it get burning good, then shut the grate and damper and it'll burn all night. Usually by morning you have a nice bead of hot coals, just open the grate and damper and throw on a few logs and it'll fire right up. Being a teen at the time, I set up my room in part of the basement. There were many many night when I would wake up and hear a fire roaring, and could see the flickering of flames on my wall (like the grate and damper were open). There were also many mornings when I woke up and would go to get the fire going only to find that the grate and damper were already open and the fire was burning hot. There was an old cound in the basement, which had belonged to the old man. I had two cats and they would often run up to the couch doing the "Halloween cat prance", jump on on one end and prance down the couch, stopping just before the last cushion, hissss, and then run awal like a bat out of hell. I witnessed this many times. It was like something was sitting on the last cushion. There were also a few occasions when I would wake up in the middle of the night and hear faint music playing. A first few times I got up and searched the whole house, but never could find where it was coming from. -

And what is that close to Michelle? Looks like a child??? -
The mega attys do not have a seperate cone - it's all one piece. You can use a regular 510 on the battery, with or without a cone (so yes, if you want a cone, you'd need to buy one). Where did you get your kit? I haven't seen any kits that some with the mega attys instead of the regular atty and cone. Oh - BTW - Glad you're liking it!

I have had a few that would't work on one ecig, but worked fine on another. Sometimes if you use a paperclip to gengly wiggle the connector and pull it down a little, it'll work. Sometimes they just don't make the connection. You can check the ohms with a multi-meter. Set the meter to 200 ohm. Touch the red lead to the bottom center and the black lead goes to the threads. The ohms should read whatever type of carto you have (1.8 to 2.4 for LR and around 2.8 to 3.2 for regular). If you're getting a reading, they should be good, just not making contact.

Welcome to Vapor Talk! If you're wanting a battery to last all day, go with the eGo. Most report battery life of 8+ hours (8-12 is common) and a kit comes with two batteries. As you'll find out, vaping is a little different than smoking and it's hard to give an answer to "how may cigs is a cart the same as" questions. Carts generally don't last long, maybe 3-5 cigs at best. Many find carts don't work that well and turn to direct dripping (vid posted below). For on-the-go use, I'd get some cartomizers with your order and some eliquid. You can use bottles of eliquid to refill carts and cartomizers. Cartomizers will hold about 30 drops of juice and will last a while before needing refilled. You'll probably find that there's no eliquid that is going to taste like your Marlboro. I smoked about 1 1/2 packs of Marlboro lights per day for 20 years and the eliquid that worked for me was Vapor Talk Tobacco in 24mg. I would suggest getting at least 3-4 different flavors when you buy your kit. Feel free to ask any questions. I'm sure others will be along to fill in any gaps I may have left out - there's a lot of info out there. LOL! What is direct dripping

Enjoyed them very much! Thanks! I hope more will get posted. -
Very interesting. I went to a Brittish school for three years (my Dad was Army and stationed on a Brittish base in GE). I went through 1st, 2nd and 3rd form. I did terrible all three years. Moved back to the States and I started the 9th grade. Through 4 years of high school I made mostly A's (and a few B's) without putting forth much effort. I've always held that as a testament as to how much better the Brittish schools were.
