  1. I think it's good to be exposed to different opinions, which is what makes the forum work so well. What may work for me may not work some someone else. It's a pretty friendly environment here and we encourage noobs to ask questions. I hope nobody is afraid to ask anything.
  2. Nice review. Ordered one this morning.
  3. Now officially waiting. Ordered the 18650 cap also. I hate you guys. LOL!!!
  4. Does your shut-off work? I've heard others say that it shuts off when it drops below the set voltage. Mine has never done that and it sound like BirdDog is experiencing the same thing.
  5. A Pass-Through (PT) is an ecig that you plug into a USB port or USB wall adapter. No battery needed. That has changed a little lately as some PTs are now batteries that you can charge while vaping. Pass Throughs that are not batteries generally give higher voltage (depending on the power source - usually 5 volts). PT - not a battery eGo PT at Vapor Talk Store (eGo battery that you can charge while vaping) Vaprlife PT (mod)
  6. Yep. That's the atty vaporizing the eliquid. It can get quite hot. Best not to "chain vape". Give it a chance to cool down a bit after a few hits.
  7. Oh - generally, you'll get 5-7 hits on 2-3 drops. It'll take some time to know just when you need to drip, but it'll come. You'll usually see a decline in vapor and loss of flavor, or even a burning taste.
  8. I've heard that the batteries are 80% charged when shipped. I know when I got mine it only took about 20 minutes to charge them before going green. As for juice in the atty, there will always be some left. If you don't want to mix juices, you may want to use different attys for juices that are very different. One thing that will help is to blow out the atty. Remove it from the battery and hold a paper towel over the battery end and blow through it. This will help get out some of the excess. I would think Grape and Cola would be okay together, so you may want a designated atty for Mentha. Enjoy!!!
  9. Nice review Chris - Thanks! I agree about the pics. At first I did not like the way it looks (nor any other of the provape mods). However, after seeing the vid I said the same thing you did - the pics on their site do not do it justice.
  10. Just send your ProVari to me and get you one of these instead! LOL!
  11. I would think the $30 repairs service would cover anything, but they may replace the parts with what they use now. Mine has never worked right, but I've still enjoyed it.... it doesn't cut-off at all. I've run my LiFePO4's down to 1.8V before and it never cut-off. The light goes off, but unit doesn't shut down. With a 2.2ohm 510 atty, the LiFePO4s can't sustain the 5.2V need to keep the indicator light green, so the only time I see the green light is when I'm using a 3.0ohm cartomizer.
  12. That's pretty slick looking! Wonder what the price range is going to be on this???
  13. I've heard good reviews of their eliquid, but haven't heard anyone talk about the nic. Personally, I've found that using more then 30 to 40% VG tastes off to me. I usually use 20% in my mix.
  14. Will these be in Vapor Talk flavors, or other flavors?
  15. I use one flavor most of the time. I have a few others that I use occasionally, but mostly stick to the one flavor. It's been that way since I started.
  16. I usually get around 28-30 drops in a new carto. After 15 drops I put the cap back on and shake it like an old thermometer. Add more drops until it starts to pool and repeat. I think 30 drops is probably over 1ml. I had some hard tops when they first came out and had a difficult time knowing how much to put in them. Much easier with the soft top. On the hard tops, I started ripping the cap out. That pretty much destroys the cap so you'll need a drip tip for it if you do that.
  17. The link you posted is to the regular cartos. Below is a link to the LR 2.0 ohm cartos. Vapor Kings Boge 2.0 Ohm Cartos
  18. As jeffb said, get an eGo and you won't be disappointed.
  19. Kitsune created this great basics guide (link below) that will give you everything you need to get going. I would start there and then see if you have any questions. Don't hesitate to ask. DIY Basics
  20. Have you tried cartomizers? I direct drip most of the time and use a cartomizer when driving. For the eGo, the LR cartomizers (1.8 or 2.0 ohm) work pretty well.
